Here's my recap of Episode 4 of Roze of the Recapture.
I decided to make the intro mostly about Nina because so many people underestimate her excellent character development when compared to the other characters.
Anyways let me know your thoughts on this episode.
Update: I made a mistake here the far east incident is the name given to Britannia's initial occupation of Japan not the Neo Britannian invasion of the Hokkaido block.

Im not sure if I’m happy about code geass being back or devastated that they should have left the perfect ending as it was

Code Geass: Rozé of the Member Berries.
The problem with this show is they’ve set it so soon in the timeline after Lelouch’s war and Resurrection.
Now they are in a spot where they have to acknowledge what happened b4 and acknowledge the previous main cast. Whenever they show the original characters like Lelouch/L.L, C.C, Cornelia, Nina, they all steal the scene….
They haven’t given the audience enough time alone with the new characters so we can learn to fall in love with them. All I am invested in now in this show is whatever the old characters are up to. It’s like they are scared Rozé’s Hokkaido plot can’t stand on its own. So they bring back the Fleija, original characters, old story beats, Britannia. But now I just want to follow the original characters that I love and Rozé feels like a side plot 😕
when Nara was looking at the photos of her as a kid, and that little boy next to her, I knew right there, that said little boy is Ash, in other words, there's a connection between Nara and Ash.
The enemy having a DAMN DAMOCLES pisses me off beyond words

I can't really think of anything that would make me dislike this episode, however when i was 10 minutes in, I was thinking "I feel like I've been watching for 30 minutes already, when is this episode gonna end".
I want to know what happen to suzaku and nunaly too? Hope kallen or jeremiah back too. Or our MC from code geass lost story back again
she has a claim of the throne now most likely because she is the last surviving blood relative that they have access to, so they retroactivly put her in the lineige again, similar cases have hapened in real life history as well
Every time I hear this show, I just keep thinking, "This is just the Force Awakens but Code Geass"
That skype call in the series legit looks like discord to me
you know, I just realized something, the reason that Norland used that tiny assassin bug bot to kill Calus, and having Sakura being the 101st empress, is because he knows that Sakura is a decoy, and is trying to lure out the real Sakuya so he could capture her.
Looking back it was a mistake to leave Nina alive, since her main reason to create F.L.E.I.J.A weapon was to avenge Euphemia li Britannia that was mainly caused by her delusions of sleeping with Euphemia.

This scene really reminded me of a show called "Miraculous." ((Im not calling it: "tales of ladybug and chatnoir" because hell nah its tales of ladybug, wtf were the writers thinking?
Anyways.
The Mc, who i will be referring to as Mari. Is constantly depected as being smart. Even being smarter then literal 30+ year old ADULTS and everyone around her. ((Wait to get angry at me lemme explain))
But in reality, 98% of the characters are dumbed down so much, including the second MC "Chatnoir/Adrien". Btw the writers/Thomas astruc Dont even consider Adrien/chatnoir an MC EVEN THOUGH HES IN THE FUCKING TITLE-
Anyways. In short, i really hated that scene due to its stupidity, and the stupidity aspect reminding me of a badly written show with and asshole writer.

Hehe, just finished watching. I didn't like this episode either. Though i like the fact we saw Nina again. Corneilla just seems like a cameo, nothing that adds to the plot. Then again, Kagyua, L2 and C2 felt like Cameos aswell. Not adding to the story. Though i think the writers will do something for them.
But until then... I wont get my hopes up too high.
Roze of the recapture as a whole, so far? 5/10. Action is good, along with the animation. Story is mediocre so far.
I think i was able to notice some things that seem to be plot relevant/finale relevant. I hope these things have a good ending, good execution perhaps? Idk.
the writing so far in these 4 episodes has been subpar at best most of the time, which is unfortunate
