Every bike is unique with its friction zone, I'll be spending time this weekend on my brand new bike testing this zone to get comfortable switching gears with the clutch control. Great video!

thanks very much for the videos! im an aspiring rider ;) and also considering the svartpilen as my first bike. your videos have tons of really helpful insights for new riders! as i'm preparing to take my motorcycle safety course, i've been arming myself with as much information as i can. again, really appreciate the honest new rider insights - i watch a lot of videos with riders that have way more experience, and sometimes it's just too much for me to take in. cheers man!

Thanks! This is exactly why I decided to make videos. And a number of people have been adding their knowledge in the comments, for which I’m very grateful.
Best wishes as you prepare for the class!

These are great small bite vids. Good information, in a short time, and not rushed. Doing great.
    I will add,
The sooner you can get to the point of NOT looking at the Dash..
The better rider you will become. For newer riders... just cruise around a large empty lot and TRY and confuse yourself. Go up a few gears, go down a gear, go up a few, go down a few.. try and get lost in gearing ( while being safe ) then slow down.. and before coming to a complete stop.. pick up speed. See what gear you are in, too high a gear.. too low a gear.. or the correct gear? Do that just a few times without looking at the dash, and i BET you will find yourself being in the correct gear. Dont ask me how or why it works. Could not tell you. But after a few times it will just be natural. Lost in gear at start of slowing or not.

I also don't use ear plugs regularly, only on longer rides as the wind noise would be unbearable. Then I got myself one of those Bluetooth intercom system, the earplugs helped a lot in making it sound clearer to me especially at higher speeds. Having the option to listen to music/radio is great, makes the mileage pass by quicker.

When I first started riding I didn‘t have earplugs. It was only after hearing a ringing noise in my ears for a few minutes that I decided I should probably get some.
Now I can‘t leave the house without them, I never noticed how uncomfortable wind noise is until I had the plugs in and barely heard it

Did plugging your tire work or did your spokes leak?

Spokes leaked. Ultimately, I got a new tube.
Even the dealer didn’t know I needed a tube. I had to convince them (obviously they would have discovered that when they took the tire off but they really didn’t know much.
