Hey, what's your thoughts on this bike one year later? I also was a sponsored advanced Road racer and experience motocross rider. Just bought this bike and wondering if I could handle some road race track riding and solid trail riding
I’m looking for my first bike, do you have any recommendations beside the 401? I really like the look of it, also do you think a 701 would be too much for a new rider?
I haven’t ridden the 701 but do think anything with sporty intentions in the 600 cc range or above isn’t ideal to learn on. That’s just me. In this price range there isn’t much that I find interesting/or styled in the same vein but check out the Honda CB300R, Kawasaki Z400, Royal Enfield Continental GT, Ducati Scrambler Sixty Two, Kawasaki Vulcan S. Hope this helps!
Great video, very informative and between the video and the comment section I learned a lot about my Svart and am more confident about some of my initial niggling concerns. Keep it up dude!
Question: How is this bike for tall people? I've heard it's a pretty tall seat-height, but it's still a small bike. I'm 6'5" and fairly thin, but I'm worried I might not quite fit.
Bro this ride you took is my favorite drive in my infiniti! Im looking for a first bike and I want to get one of these, I was wondering where you got yours? also once I'm on two wheels if you'd be down to mob (yes I stay in delray beach).
Hey! Quick Question: I am 1.95cm tall (which should be about 6.4 in feet). Do you think I could fit on this bike? How tall are you? I heard it’s seating high is great for tall people but I would love to hear an opinion from an experienced vitpilen rider :)
Clemens Sc Hey Clemens, Siri says I’m 170 cm (5’7”). Although I can’t flat foot the bike, I think you might feel a but scrunched due to the only slightly rear set peg position. Although at your height, you probably feel that way on most bikes. You might be coming close-ish to hitting those anvil-like haunches coming out of the gas tank. The bike still feels small and narrow even to me. Hope this helps!
@@ForeverARide Thanks for your response! Yeah that helps me a lot figuring out if this bike could fit me. And you are right - i will probably feel a bit weird on almost every sportish styled bike because of my height. Guess i will have to find out whats the less evil for my back :D

Thanks for the video! How's the comfort for the Vitpilen? I'm looking for this bike as my first one but I've heard that they are really not comfortable
you could call it uncomfortable compared to a cruiser bike but if you’re leaning more towards sport this is pretty comfy, the seat could be a little more squishy, main problem i’ve heard is if you’re below 5’ 10” it’ll be a little tall especially for new riders

Hey, how is the riding position, I am 5'11 and love the Vitpilen but everyone tells me to get the Svartpilen because is more comfortable. Is the Vitpilen as bad as people make it sound or is it isn't that bad?
Arturo Alvarado this is a great question and my feelings on it evolve as I continue to enjoy this motorcycle. My first ride, my back actually hurt. But I was not used to riding a motorcycle, let a lone in a sport bike position. As I continued riding, I adjusted to the bike and stopped noticing any discomfort under an hour of riding. Now, I’m confident I could go for longer and longer, and the position feels perfectly natural, even preferred. Having said that, this objectively is still not the preferred first choice for daily riding, rather the first choice for a run-about, cafe racer type of mindset. I heard someone say before, this would make an excellent second motorcycle. I’ve thought about changing the bars but every time I look at the style I forget about it completely.
@@ForeverARide O man, I am in the same predicament, I plant of using it as my daily commuter, I live in a city with high traffic and not many high speed highways, trip to work usually takes me around 30min. @@ElevatedVehicles it's 2023 Svartpilen. Unfortunately they don't sell Vitpilen in my country. I was aiming for a Vitpilen rather than Svartpilen but it's still fun
Hi! I've read that the engine breaks? Is it true? Also, I saw a paintjob with grey lines over the white on this vitpilen 401 on a presentation but then I haven't seen it again. Do they only make completely white vitpilen or are the more painted models?
So the question i have is power for the bike. Basically my idea is that after some time for example 3 months you can just get bored of the power of the bike, i know its light and nimble but anyway what would be your thoughts?
After 3 months of riding, I personally haven’t gotten bored of the power. I’m not able to use all of it most of the time, so I always feel like there is more on tap when I’m on the street. It’s feels substantially more powerful than a 250 - and I think 44 hp is more than enough to chew on for my abilities so far. This could change!
What about seating position, i’m 6ft2 and the bike kind of seems small? The thing is i love the looks of the bike but still feel that it might be nit the best choice due to lack of power and seating position 😢
@@JayD.. Thanks for the sub :) If you're a slim build, I think it should be perfect. I'm smaller at 5'7 and 145 lbs but I think it's better to feel as though you've mastered the power it can offer instead of hopping on a 600 - as the difference in power is quite a bit. The seat is slim and generally not as comfortable as any other bike in its class haha. You should definitely sit on one to be sure.
Yeah problem is i am currently on A2 license here in Europe, and to be honest its pain in the *** i have to decide either restricting the 650 bike or going with the 300cc+ bike 😬 price is kind of the same even with the slight advantage to 650 bike. So you know it’s tough decision to make ! Thanks for replies!
Justinas Dauksa that is a *royal* pain! How does that affect the bike? Who remaps it? Very tough decision. I feel like I would be trading for another bike after a year anyway whether it’s a 300 or a 650.
Neutral is hard is because of the quick shifter. I had the same issue for a while, but when I realized I don't actually need the clutch, I adapted and things got so much better. You just let off the throttle and shift. Up or Down. You only need the clutch when you're sitting still at take off. I have heard so many people say they had issues with the shifting or clutch, and then when I explained it had a quick shifter...most of those complaints stopped. Just in case you didn't know it had the quick shifter...you can go try it. Just let off the gas and shift, no clutch required. I don't clutch for upshift, but do for downs because I am usually coasting a bit on a downshift anyway, but once I found out the quickshifter was there it completely changed the feel of the bike for me. Peace.
That’s not a quickshifter. A quickshifter allows you to upshift without letting off the throttle or using the clutch. All you are doing is “clutchless shifting”. Any motorcycle will do this by unloading the transmission (IE. Letting off the throttle). A quickshifter will do this for you by cutting ignition to unload the transmission allowing that gear change.
Thank you @Saurabh and @ricky _ph for bringing these questions to our attention!

How is the husky on tours?
Yash Amin I haven’t gotten the chance to find out. But it will happily do 80 mph. Maybe I’ll throw a couple of saddle bags on a go for a trip!

Yes, Lord Wimby!
I bought 401 couple months ago and it was the best decision I've made! Dirt, asphalt no matter where this machine is fun as hell!
What year & which model did you get?
@@ElevatedVehicles it's 2023 Svartpilen. Unfortunately they don't sell Vitpilen in my country. I was aiming for a Vitpilen rather than Svartpilen but it's still fun
@@adgonn do you live in the United States or Australia?
Thank you for the feedback
@@ElevatedVehicles In Turkey.
@@adgonn nice! Hello from USA. Thank you again for feedback
Hi! I've read that the engine breaks? Is it true? Also, I saw a paintjob with grey lines over the white on this vitpilen 401 on a presentation but then I haven't seen it again. Do they only make completely white vitpilen or are the more painted models?
I had zero problems. Although I didn't put 5000 miles on it. New color ways have been added.
Buying 401 as soon as it is released in india
Vinson Braganza join the fam!
Does it have quickshifter stock??
Not to my knowledge.
1:00 thanks for the ear rape
If you enjoyed that, check out my new bike.
Love your Video bro 😍😍
Thanks 😁
Your channel is underrated
Peace.
Brandon, this is great news. I thought the quick shifter was only on the 701. Thanks! Peace & Love.
George Krpan this is likely the case. Tried to massage some shifts this weekend with no luck. 🧐
I dont understand waving at other bikes.
