You know the irony of this case? One of the Buzzfeed reporter who write bombastic article of Justine also getting cancelled after tweeting "Bring back bullying", it was so bad, Adobe and several companies cutting ties with Buzzfeed. He also got the title worst journalist of the year. But years later she and that reporter meeting up and make peace after realizing their stupidity.
Calling the cesspit that is Buzzfeed "a news outlet" is like saying The Daily Mail ISN'T yellow press.

The punchline is that she isn't going to get AIDS because she is white. It's a bad joke, but a joke nonetheless.
A similar joke would be something like "gonna walk through a dark alleyway, hope I don't get raped, just kidding! I'm a dude."

The worst thing about that last entry isn't the content of the drunken tweet.. it's the fact that the UK has become such a draconian surveillance state, and literally wastes resources on arresting and prosecuting people for "being offensive"

The guy didn't deserve that punishment. Too harsh. He clearly regretted what he said and was very much not okay with how he'd reacted.

I could have sworn Kevin Heart did something to get “cancelled” but he keeps popping up and moving on in his career and whenever I search his name and like “controversy” nothing popped up. This is what it was!! I remembered the uproar but I couldn’t remember what he did, I actually think I thought he was accused of inappropriate sexual interactions. It’s still not great, but at least from what you’ve presented here it seems like he hopefully learned? Or I guess doesn’t share those views publicly anymore which I guess is a step in the right direction?

Strange how no one is able to find it in its full, especially considering how incredibly severe the punishment for it was
Why should these people be forgiven so easily? A young person who makes a mistake and gets a criminal record is never forgiven! They can't get good jobs and are judged for the rest of their lives. Imagine being 18 years old, making one mistake, and at 35 not able to support a family or have a normal life! It's sickening!

I like the fact that the worse if the twitter deleted tweets are just bad jokes or having homophobic language which isn't that bad, but is still not good. And saying something was 'gay' in the 2010s was the norm, sure it wasn't good, but you can't hold the actions of the past to today's standards unless under specific circumstances like crime

The punishment for that last case seems SO excessive to me, holy shit. Drunkenly making a racist tweet that you clearly regretted very quickly landing you twelve weeks in jail, a suspension of a year and a half, an alcohol ban of 4 months, 25 days of rehab, and 6 2/3 days of unpaid work. Like, what the actual fuck is going on in the UK that THAT seems like a reasonable punishment...?
The fact that he realized how offensive it was within twenty minutes while drunk just goes to show how much he regretted it and didn't truly mean his words, and still he gets slapped with that excessive nonsense.
