- We made our way out to Sodus Bay, NY. We packed our tackle boxes with Stingnose jigging spoons and head out onto the ice. We jig ourselves up a nice dinner of perch!

This is one of my favorite videos thus far. Days like that is what keeps getting us out there. I fish like that a lot of days, no electronics and hole hoping. Although I usually cart a bucket with me lol. Great video guys. I hope our ice returns soon here central NY.

I bought a bunch of peanut bunker lures that I want to use for ice fishing too. I hope you include it next time you video ice fishing if we get ice in Upstate NY.
Ivo always looks like he’s sitting on an invisible bucket. Don’t know how he can do that. Awesome video! Hopefully some of their Canadian cold weather makes its way down into NY soon.
I had to look again, as I assumed he was on an opaque white bucket! He's got 20 years on me I think but we must have traded knees at some point... :)

Sodus has some dandy pike too. Take your tip ups and bait them with some of those dink perch for more action.
Awesome video on perch fishing on sodus bay for perch. I wish we had ice on sodus bay right now. I live 5 minutes away from Sodus bay and it's open water but we have freezing temperatures coming in the next few days. This year has been crazy . But anyways it's a awesome video.

It just froze back up Friday night so I would give it about a week before trying to go on the ice

Sodus is where I do my ice fishing for perch trough the ice, it’s quite common to have to weed trough the smaller ones.

Ivo, I run the 3/16 stingnose as well. What size and brand snap do you use? I have a problem with it getting caught in the line when I don't tip it. But when I do tip it, I have no issues at all.
I use the Thundermist Snap size 00 on the 3/16 stingnose :)

How can you be ice fishing sodus there is no ice
this was filmed last year and is airing now....I heard that Sodus has just now frozen over, so it will be a while yet for safe, thick ice :)
Thundermist Lures ahhh I see. Yeah the south end just locked up a few days ago maybe the end of next week if the weather stays like it is now!
