Paul McCartney - Chaos & Creation at Abbey Road 6/7

- Paul returns to Studio 2 at Abbey Road. The room where all the Beatles records were made. For an intimate journey through his songwriting history. From his very first Beatles song to the work on his new album "Chaos & Creation In The Backyard".
Just Paul and his guitar and a few other insturments. And acoustic! He was, and is the real deal; a master musician, spngwriter and vocalist. The whole enchilada.
GENIUS!!!
The Beatles didn't get their Epiphones until 1965. The first was Paul's Texan and Casino. By that time, Fender, Rickenbacker, Gibson, etc were sending guitars to the Beatles in hopes of them endorsing their brand. Anyone interested in the Beatles instrumentation should check out the book "The Beatles Gear" It's awesome!
magical
aw it was cute when paul said, noo don't ahah, to the audience :) and blackbird omg! and when he's handing out the instruments, sigh all i could do is smile for this whole abbey road "soiree" love it! lol.
These songs will never be the same w/o them. But PMC is far away the best live performer out right now. You wont realize what I mean till you actually go to a show. I saw him in Nov '05 in LA. Cant wait to go again!!!
tears of joy
This is such a great idea to give a concert at abbey road with all that star equipment, Thank you very much Paul, I am really enjoying the youtube concert with a nice double scotch(no ice off course),
in a moment of my life, remember when John and Paul sing along this song in a reharsal when John includes his poem, everybody had a wet dream.... etc, just two minds working
This song was beast on the Rooftop.
I love the Red Wings logo on his guitar!!!!
super!!!!!
I love this version of I Got a Feeling.. he should deffinetly release it.
The master at work. He is a genius no doubt. Enjoyed all these sessions. Thanks for posting. As for "Simofflce" you are not really a Beatles fan, otherwise wouldn't say things like that. There are lots of crap on youtube but this certainly isn't.
❤❤❤❤
great
It's by no means the most challenging song to play...
The song are sow good and nice
Paul is singing into the microphone from the studio 40 years ago! Probably the same one he used then :)
I wish he sang this song as original, will full power and energy. This sounds pretty sad. Still awesome.
Nice to hear him do 'I've got a feeling'. It reminds me of the magic of the rooftop and Pauls coolness there. But where's that confounded bridge?
The Beatles are like the only band I know that REALLY use Epiphones. Quite a few artists out there who pose for Epiphone catalogues stating "I use Epiphone" dont really use Epiphone.
and by this i mean "I've got a feeling"
Yeah, when Paul did this song on the US Tour in 2005, his band sang John's part. It had to be a little painful for Paul. He even turned away from the crowd.
@PERROMALDO There was a hell of a lot more going on then than Paul. Much was pulling apart that the individuals were as much affected by as they were causing, and there were circumstances from failing businesses and business partners who weren't qualified for the huge positions they were in. Everyone was burnt, but Paul was tring to keep the creative machine of the Beatles going when it all badly needed to rest. He never really stops creating product, and he'll keep going on until he dies.
cool
wow! i've never heard the acoustic version of 'i've Got A Feeling' , i have only heard the rooftop version with the electric guitars and i must say i do like the acoustic version too =).
It was John Lennon himself who admitted during a Playboy interview, that had it not been for Paul, there would have been no Beatles music after 1966. The music they made after 1966 wasn't just their best music, it was some of the best anyone had ever heard anywhere.
!Ableton live!
Paul has said that if he could only own one guitar, it would be his Epiphone Casino. The Casino was Johns fav as well, using it almost exclusivly from 66 on. Paul is still using his two Epi's to this day, so Epiphone must be doing something right. I own a newer Casino and it's the best guitar I've laid hands on. And way cheaper than a Gibson ES
It's not a Martin D28! It's a 1964 Epiphone Texan FT-79. He used it in "yesterday"!
The acoustic rendition of "I've Got a Feeling" has more soul.
I have a question!
Does anybody have any idea in which program is being used to record Paul while he is making that little sample song towards the end?
I am just curious to what professionals use when it comes to recording with computers.
George Harrison's contribution is much understated. See composer Howard Goodall's video on the Beatle's. He does not omit Harrison at all. He rates them the greatest music composers of all time.
2:58 Blackbird
When he has his band, his drummer sings John's part, but since he is alone in this one, of course John's part is omitted.
I'd probably faint if I were there DDDDDDDDDDD:
sounds like a bond theme :P
Ah, he's wearing TWO Make Poverty History bands on his left wrist. I wore one of them for much of 2005!
Some one PLEASE Tab this!
no hes right its an epi the whole time
no one wrote songs like macca.
it is in standard tuning i dont know what you guys are talking about
Oh yeah then watch his other concert's you'll see he can.
@JulieLovesTheBeatles i was just going to write that
tab ???? hes playin it right there for ya. look at his hands.
It's missing John's part. "Everybody had a hard year..." Other than that, it's great.
Sure, not every song is a winner, this however is very good, maybe it's that I appreciate more the one man on the gitar approach since I am learning to play and realise how difficult to master this instrument.
don't forget george and ringo too :D
whats wrong with epiphone...?
I am a big fan... But we all have to agree that beatles' tunes won't sound the same without john, george and ringo... But they are still fantastic.
Martin D28
the original is in "a". and i think this is in "g". it looks like he might be in open-g tuning or somesuch thing.
lolol turn on captions
it's rough
beggining kind of sounds like the bob dylan song
i always hated that part...but u r correct...
industry standard is Logic 9
well not all the beatles albums... let it be was made in apple corps building but i'm just saying.
its because its johns part,he wouldnt do that
paul wouldn't do john's part
Paul used Abe Labourel Jr, the "fat guy, due to his outstanding perfomance as a musician. Please don´t take things in such way, as a stupid prejudiced!
They sound pretty damn good with just Paul. Paul is a music genious just as john was. bottom line.
it is pro tools
nah.. he WAS a douche in the older beatle years... after that, he has grown up and saw how bad it was
Pro tools
woah buddy, I didn't realize your "aunt rosie" was in town - did I say anything about hit voice? - No
My comment was in response to another comment.
But regardless, I think Paul McCartney has become a douche in his older years.
He and Ringo Starr both over charge their shows - and both think they're still the greatest thing on earth.
Now before everyone gets their panties in a twist, stop right now - I don't want to hear it.
