One man, one guitar, entertaining with two hours of original songs. One of the greatest musical talents of our time.
Nicely put😊
We are 80 and we love Neil Young❤❤
To have a Neil Young caliber writer/musician within my lifetime I consider myself blessed. But we didn't only get him. Carol King, Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen come to mind. Also Joni Mitchell, Aretha Franklin, Kristofferson and David Bowie belong on a list of a golden age. The list is obviously too short. We are very lucky.
We are happy to know your taste
@@pabloperez4063 I also like Mozart (especially the chamber works), van Beethoven and especially Bach (the knock at the door of the fifth) and Scott Joplin and Stravinsky. I also have a fondness for bagpipes and penny whistles. And 5/4 compositions. Thanks Dave Brubeck. Also thanks Tchaikovsky for Swan Lake. Of course this list should include "The Blue Danube" a very predictable yet pretty contribution by Strauss.
& Elliott Smith. 😁
@@josevillarreal9920 Thank You. It really has been too long since {other than today) I listened to this distinctive composer.
I agree
Neil Young has been my life. I love this guy. All my life, he's been my first choice in music. Forever in my heart for sure. By the way, I'm 70 years old !

Neil, i'm 66 a surviver gived all, i'm still looking for that heart of gold....i've been loving you deeply as a fellow soul since half a century ago...thkyouuu and
go on I'm following!
Much the same here. He’s been a big part of the soundtrack of my life for decades…
I first heard Sugar Mountain in a little hole in the wall bar on Guadalupe Street in Austin when I was probably 15 or 16 years old. Too young legally to be there but I slipped under the radar somehow since I didn’t try to buy anything myself…
It was most likely an excellent cover of the song but I set out on a mission to track it down. Quite an endeavor since it was before technology was invented….
Everyone who reads this, we don't know each other and probably never will but I wish you all the best in life and all the luck in the world 💕🥰
I love you too...

CAN YOU GET ME A DIAPER?
This may be the greatest solo performance I've ever seen, of any artist.
Agree!!
It's pooh so hard getting near the end
There's not a shadow of doubt in my mind about that. I'm 73 but have been listening to Neil since I was a kid. Unsurpassed, Beautiful. Emotional. Brilliant guitar, soul-stirring harmonica. And that amazing voice. How can anyone not love this man. So blessed to have his music, his humanity, on this Earth and in my life.
Definitely maybe his best live performance on vide.
That's what I was going to say. I've been listening to him most of my life and I couldn't turn this one off. Great set list, instrument selection, and he nailed everything.
This is my second time listening to this and watching it 1992 I gave birth to my second child another boy named Caleb James Wilson he came out smiling from ear to ear he was listening to Neil before he was even born all three of my boys have nothing but great respect for Neil now it's 2024 and I'm still listening I love Neil Young he has helped me through a lot of s***! Thank you Neil keep on rocking in the so-called free world you have a new album coming out soon for 2024 I've heard one song off of it can't wait to hear the rest of it God bless you Neil ❤️🙏❤️🎶🌍✌️💯👍☺️
Very true and at the same time the fact that everybody thinks it was merely shows the power of Stephen stills art. It became an anthem because it struck a chord that everybody was feeling. Another example of that is Suite Judy Blue Eyes was written to woo Judy Collins back after she left him to screw around with a cute actor she had just met in New York named Stacy Keach but that doesn't diminish its power as *another* anthem for a chunk of the 60s. Great art works that way and Stephen stills I think is one of the most unsung artists of that generation.
WHOOPS that was a response to a different comment. Sorry!

I am so excited. We are going to see NY & Crazy Horse in May ‘24 in NJ. He is by far my favorite & never thought he would tour the east coast. Thrilled. ❤
This man does something to me spiritually that i cannot explain, may be continue to do that

This concert was fantastic . Neil was his best . 25 of us chartered a bus to see him . We had so much fun . Neil is loved by many . He is very special . He has a place in my Heart that will always be with me . We love you Mr Neil ❤❤❤

The man's voice is truly a gift from Heaven...

How great would it be to sit at a campfire with a cold drink talking and listening to him play. Just one of kind. Beautiful. Proud Canadian.
Quit the talking while he performs.
That sound great my the campfire. My wife and I were lucky to sit on the floor at University of Northern Colorado, gym floor in the 70's for his concert with a bunch of new young followers, now we are old farts and still enjoying his music. Back then small concert and up close and personal. Great memories.
He's the man
And if he didn't play.?.. Brand him
Exactly what I think❤
Neil Young is the first artist to sing about our silver spaceships picking souls up ⬆️
I get so blown away...
NEILYOUNG is the greatest songwriter thats ever lived. Will be sorely missed when hes gone. The greatest to ever to do it . Thanks Neil.
You mean bob Dylan. Even Neil would say that
nope...that's Bobby (lyrically)
but, musically, Neil is better
Bob Dylan is not by far a Musician like Neil Young

@@joshuacumming4132 It's all subjective, anyway. I prefer Neil - and quite a few others - to Dylan. But the best songwriter could be Joni, or Stevie Wonder, or Springsteen or Sam Cooke, or Carole King or Lennon (or) McCartney, or...

Neil young was the reason I started playing guitar.. I’m 58 and late to the party. I was 24 when I first really listened and was hooked. Guitar, harmonica and plaid shirts..
Neil is a legend. I'd have loved to have experienced all these live performances., Audiences with no phones or ipads. Sat there enjoying the show as one.
See my above post, CP.
This isn’t a real concert! It’s a tv show, trying to recreate the magic of performances from the early seventies. When I saw Neil live around 1982 it was in a huge stadium, all sold out. It was one of the worst and last rock concerts I ever attended in a venue like that. Solo Neil Young. Absolutely horrible music...synthesizer with flashing sunglasses singing about mashed potatoes, trying to keep up with the new musical tastes. This retro “best of” concert is really what Neil will be remembered for and the excellent Rust Never Sleeps concerts, which were something original.

The harmonica gets me every time, My grandpa Stanley played it all the time
It’s astounding how clean his guitar sound and rhythm, at the same time his little leads, then the harmonica is stellar. All while he sings perfectly in tune and feel. Never heard him sound better.

I've Loved Neil's music since I can Remember...as a child holding a candle for him through the whole CSNY debacle...He Is a Performer...not all have that Attribute...his life is his music and it shows. He will Always be one of my Ultimate All-Time Favorites. This is. Undoubtedly; One of his Best Shows!!!
I have seen him 6 times live, mostly with Crazy Horse and once with CSN&Y, and every time I think that was his best show. I guess unless we go to every show he plays, we will never know which was his best, and it’s only our opinion anyway
I'm an avid fan too
I first saw Neil in 68/69 on his first tour with Crazy Horse and have been in love with his music a long time. I feel you are right, this has to be one of his best performances I’ve heard. So clear and powerful and present. The vocals and playing are perfection.

What a concert one man show the best no one can pull this out
Listen to a Richard Thompson one man show. He kills it too. This though is just awesome and I love that throughout his long career, every so often Neil goes out alone and just plays some tunes, talks some to the audience, and it just.. well I don't know how to say it, but he does. Fantastic
Thankyou neil young for the music in your soul. Peace and love.
As a 59 year old African American woman, I have been a fan since I was in my 20's. Just saw him in concert last week 2024.

Spectacular acoustic concert. This musician truly is a genius one man show. I hope I see him live again! I truly enjoy his acoustic work better than the rock pieces, but that's just me. Saw CSNY live years ago, my goodness... they were all fantastic. What a time to be alive!

Watching Neil perform and how his awed audience in perfect silence borders on something that is hallowed. You can feel the unquestionable respect for such a legend belting out the very soul of their loved community or country as a whole. Awesome.

I've had the pleasure of seeing Neil about 24 times over the years. Buffalo NY was always a stop on a Neil Young tour thru the 80's,90's and into the new century.Saw him with the Blue Notes,International Harvesters, many Crazy Horse shows and all by himself, solo with guitars, harmonica, and organ.Saw the CSNY reunion at Live Aid in Philly 1985. Neil was always one of the highlights of the concert year. I'll agree this is absolutely one of his finer gigs in both song selection and sound quality. The body may not live on forever, but his music shall. He's the "band" I would choose if I was stranded on a desert isle and had to choose one artist to listen to forever.Quite a variety over his illustrious career, just about all of it great. Music for all moods. Long live Neil Young!
Thank you for sharing!
Neil Young has been one of my favourite musicians since I heard him in the early 70s and still is.
I used to sit in my sisters room in 1968 listening to Crosby steels Nash and young , 50 years later I’m playing old man etc on guitar woooooow dream , memories, life
Young himself is in his music and there’s searching and conviction within him. His music cannot go wrong.
I grew up in the middle 60's n 70's. I think if you dont like him, then why are you here. Each to their own. I have my own beliefs n opinion. ❤
Hello 👋 sheilaallen

It's nice meeting you here
Amazing song writer, puts his heart into every tune, and gets more out of an acoustic guitar with the E tuned down to D than any folk/rock/singer/musician that ever graced the planet with his tunes. Love you Neil!
I cry from insightful introspection holding each word and each cord and each small little choke on stage along with those killer Ugg boots and final shirt the organ tonight the night with Bruce Berry story all the way through Harvest Moon and so many other songs that he didn't even get to play. It's insane how he can move your emotions and make you know that we are not alone with what we feel and he reaffirms it in such a way that allows us to be okay with some thoughts that we may thought were interpersonal but surely need to be carried through with and in society to heal this Earth and his people to a higher relationship of human relations nature relations
This was very touching to read. 🥺
Nice.

Neil is like the wise mountain man who came down to tell us all how things should be done.

Our wise mountain man actually comes from the prairies in Canada, but I like your version
@@danr5462 Maybe when someone whose thoughts and instincts you once considered to be on the mark suddenly seem to be missing the mark, ask yourself who has gone astray. The genius musician with uncanny gift for putting universal thoughts and feelings to words, or YOU, the ordinary and perhaps good man who himself might really be the one who has lost his way?
@@oobladi4261 Neil Young is not a genius my friend. He has a poetic talent, but I know a lot of talented artists and musicians, and they are definitely not people I would listen to as an authority regarding any subject other than their art. I don't consider myself ordinary (or even particularly a good man) but I do trust my own thoughts and feelings. I would not question my own sincerely held perceptions based on the fact that someone who is supposedly a genius doesn't hold those views or perceptions. And in my opinion, if you or anyone else does so, you are on a very dangerous path. Really consider the implications of what you are saying here.
Do you know where America is mentioned in the Bible ??????? Shepherd's Chapel Network !!!!!!!

Around 1966-67 somewhere around Peterborough there was a party, maybe in a field and very informal. Everybody was trying to play guitars then but one guy with a high voice caught my ear. Later in the night I think, they all got in a big hearst and left. I was too shy then but now I can say, "Hi Neil and thanx for the visions that helped me carry on."
Neil young is an absolute legend , I feel so very blessed to have lived through the CSNY musical odyssey
Neil Young is immortal. His unique way of looking at people and things may just yet bring peace to this world. 🤞
Shakey has always 'had it'. When Mr Soul hit the airwaves, I was hooked
This guy is incredible. He's been about for a long time now. I hope for a long time yet.
Incredible talent! The true test is when you hear how perfectly silent that audience is in the slow piano parts and the expressive quiet songs, like they are all spellbound. He pours everything he's got into every song, like a master artist. Got me wondering if there is any artist today that can do this now? Or have the times changed too much for it? Most audiences I've seen and heard in recent years are hooting and yelling stuff out all the time. Some talk and laugh through the songs that aren't their favorites? And the damned phones held up...... Take me back 30 years please. To this concert.....
No doubt Neil Young and countless others from our gen will be somewhat drowned out by what the younger gen is doing. However, they are doing the best they can for now. I think we were lucky to have experienced our extraordinary era of music. I also think that the younger ones will wake up and realize what we already know. They've already begun to incorporate the best of what we had into their own offerings and maybe they will be just as good if not better, despite the fact that we are also leaving them some enormous problems to solve. For Americans, the biggest of these will be to realize that our government was designed to be changed for the better and that currently, we are causing more problems than we are solving and the whole world is disappointed in us because of the promise we once held. The world needs us to make some changes and get on track.
Definitely puts his heart ❤️ in all of his songs ❤❤
