- Money Tree is a tropical tree. It is a common houseplant. In the wild it can grow up to 18 meters tall. It needs a lot of sunlight but the leaves get sunburn very easily so morning sunlight is good for it. They are symbolically associated with good financial fortune and are typically seen in businesses, sometimes with red ribbons or other auspicious ornamentation attached. It is also used as a cure in appropriate areas to stimulate the flow of money. It can be propagated from its cuttings and the video shows how.

Thankyou so much for this. Mine has been struggling and today have tried to re pot the whole thing (5plaited stems about 4' tall) there are no roots! Root rot! This video has shown me how I can hopefully rescue the few remaining leaves!!!!

It’s not looking too good.
How's it doing now?
It didn’t make it. The tree itself died as did all of the clipping we had put in the water. I don’t think the problem is with this video but more with the fact that we didn’t have an idea location to place them to give them the best chance. We ended up buying a new tree and potting it correctly. It’s doing fine so far and the cat now knows to find something else to climb. Thanks for asking!

I knocked my money tree over and some branches broke off. Now I have them sitting in water thanks to you! Hope they root.
