I currently have two sets myself. The older had one tree die so I unbraided them and let them grow as they wish. The other is still braided but took the band off so they can stretch and thicken without many problems. Both pots are so bushy, I love'em. Just recently started a couple from seeds so they can grow naturally without the cut offs.
There's another grower on youtube, she got one from her neighbor that had been growing it for ten years and it is fricken huge

I have three humongous money trees. I pruned them two weeks ago. They already have little roots. I took the leaves and put them in water also and they have little nubs coming in. Amazing. I guess they are different. Don’t have to wait months for roots. I have about 10 new plants coming. So happy. I know some of my friends will be happy if they all grow roots.

I love your presentation of the money tree❤❤❤ I have a huge pachira with 7 leaves in them. They are gorgeous. I have live plants inside my house. I propagate dracaena and have lots of them. Some of my dracaenas are so tall and now their heads are up to the ceiling. I have to cut them and propagate.

I am growing aquatica with thick trunks, new greenery and lack of braid.
    I am a new grower.
I also have a pothos in soil and water. In-water WAS thriving; now barely hanging on yet with new rootage. In-soil still is.
I lowered it's water level and given ALL the "$trees" an aloe rub down.

Was watching this to find out exactly how to prune the money tree, but then you showed us before and after but left out the part where you actually trim it = the most important part! (I’m referring to 6:50 )

It could be underwatering, it could be dry soil. Money trees like the soil moist, so spray it regularly.
It could also be lack of nutrients, particularly calcium or magnesium. For calcium, add cruched egg shells. For magnesium, add some Epson salt into the water.

Hi my dear, Thank you for making the video❤. I have many new grows just grew out of the trunk, how do I propagate them, where should I cut? And when I cut them out, should I put them in water and wait for the roots to come out first, before I plant them in soil? Is it because of the new grows are taking too much nutrients from the trunk, causing some new leaves on the top of the tree curled and dried out from the tips? Would really appreciate your insights.🙏

Perhaps it needs more humidity? That is often a cause of dry tips. Winter can be tough on plants b/c of the dry indoor air. I would try adding a humidifier nearby .. or just waiting it out until it gets a little more humid naturally.

Alot of these are sold in nurseries or stores that have a rubberband on the bottom of the root stem hidden underneath the dirt. This chokes the plant and eventually just kills the plant slowly leaving us all wondering wth we did wrong when it kept dying. Speaking from first hand experience. Not many people will check the roots but if you remove the dirt, you may find a rubber band wrapped around the bottom of the plant. I saved my poor plant from dying when I finally uncovered the root cause of why my money tree wasnt doing well. Hope this helps.
