Many thanks for the video and info. I just performed this on my 2023 V85TT. I have original downpipes, catalyser and air filter, so it was for just a slip on silencer (Unit Garage Double High pipe). With the UpMap App it was an easy and problem free installation. I used the map Code: V85 21 EU ZRD SO Map for Zard approved SlipOn.
I'm very happy with the results. The bike is much improved at low revs and small throttle openings. It's easier to ride and is far more natural on feeding in the throttle mid bend. The engine pulls better in low revs in second and third gear. Combined with a small but noticeable increase in mid range the engine is far more lively and fun. So far fuel consumption appears to be about the same.
I debated whether to invest. It's expensive for what I consider should already be provided from the factory. But I suppose that is due to emissions/ noise regulations and restrictions. Overall I am impressed and love my V85TT even more!!

Thanks for the positive feedback.. Yes I'm very pleased with my map for the exact same reasons and advantages you have noticed.. I ride off road a lot if you've watched any more of my vids. And the snatchy throttle at low revs was a nightmare.. Now it's silky smooth. Keep an eye on the channel as I'm about to leave on a 1y day tour of France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Netherlands.. We leave on the 11th July.. 👍🏻

Doing the rev it three times/return to idle, is calibrating the flywheel to the computer. Bought my bike used and all the performance goodies but the light would come on when running semi-hard. Did the calibration and all good. Power and smoothness is a lot better.

Nice instructional video, I have an older Guzzi so I have only ever used Guzzidiag to load a map. When you purchase the map does it also include the hardware to install it and what is the overall cost. Obviously with the euro 5 and above suffocating the engine it's nice to know you can easily make your bike run smoother with this remap.

Thanks for stopping by and your comment. iircc the Price was £380. You purchase the T800 module and pick which cable connecter you require for the bike. Then you get 1x free map for the setup you have on your bike. There are 4x maps. One for a Standard bike. 1 for a bike with an aftermarket muffler. then the 2 last maps are for Full decat systems. Also each map give more HP. I now have the top map installed which apparently gives me 73 WHP

Good video, I presently have a 2022 V85TT, full exhaust, no cat and open up the air box like Guzzi Tech recommends and bought a rapid bike Evo, but not real happy with it. Might swap out for a UpMap T800.

Update , I removed the Rapid Bike Evo that I purchased from todd Egan at GTM and guzzi tech forum. GTM installed the incorrect map and would never man up and help, the douche even banned me from his forum. Now I run a Vtwinboost from Mistrial, now it runs better than ever.@@buckymoto1784

After watching your vid I decided to install UpMap onto my 21 v7 special with mistrals and DNA filter fitted.
The low rpm performance, cold start and idle, and a general unrestrained feeling on engine revving are undeniable.
I now plan on doing same to my 22 v85 travel, but still undecided on whether I want to run as oem, or decat it (instead of a slip on).

Hi very interesting and a well done clip. Will be very useful for people like me (always afraid of electronics). I have been thinking about a map upgrade for my V85TT Travel E5 for a long time but it seemed complicated. Question: What did the upgrade do to the fuel consumption? Did it go up much?

And sorry, one more question. This clip and all the info so far has been very very useful for me. In Germany we have to go to a technical inspection every two years. They check everything on the bike. Can I put the original map on again after I have put on a UpMap and then after the inspection can I put the same UpMap back on again without having to buy it again? How do I ensure I download the original map that’s on my bike now BEFORE I do any UpMap to the ECU (because Guzzi had issued several updates in between)? Is the original map then on my phone or in the cloud?

The drain is there as it powers the T800 module with LED light and Bluetooth module.
If you leave that in 24/7 it will drain the battery unless your on a battery tender permanently.

I have since figured out that the bike runs a lot better with the baffle in the Storm Muffler (a little back pressure) But I find that the bike runs a lot smoother when going through town at low revs, or up a gravel lane etc. when throttle control is useful. My bike has gained an odd cold start issue which there have been a few avenues that FB groups have taken me. 2 of the ones I am investigating is the faulty fuel pump that does pump enough fuel for the power gains of the bike & a faulty Cold start sensor. basically like an old skool Choke that's not activating to make the fuel richer when cold starting. When the bike warms up a little it runs just fine.
