Great video! Jig style patterns are a favorite of mine on my local spring creek. I was wondering how you like to fish this pattern in high water: do you just high stick it or do you add jigging action to get some attention in colored water?
Hey Tim, No particular reason really.. If I want it to sink faster I will just use a heavier bead, its easier to see in my fly box what size bead instead of wondering if I added weight to a certain fly or not, I haven't had any problems with this method and they still get down super quick!
@@TheFlyFiend makes sense. I just always see people adding weight to their nymphs and wonder why so much weight would be necessary. I find weight to be an action killer in my experience
Why wouldn't you leave the CDC full and wrap once if you were making two full wraps with a stripped side??? Just a curious Nelly over here.... Great little bug tied on a Fly Fiend Jig hook and a Fly Fiend slotted bead..... Thanks Fly Fiend.
I Find When I Strip It On One Side The CDC Can "Breathe" More When Water Flowing Threw It, Wrapping A Full Gets Kinda Bunched Up And Restricts Flow, But Its All Personal Preference ! Thanks For Watching!
I’m new to fly tying, and I love your videos. Even if I don’t tie the actual fly, I always pick up on something from your tutorials.
Nice tying and as a result a very nice fly. Love the CDC collar 👍.
Sure will tie some.
Tight lines 🎣 from the Čech Republic 🇨🇿.

Yes I Just High Stick It, Our Creeks Arnt Very Deep So Even If Its Higher Its Still Fishable High Sticking.
I think I'm going to play around with different movements this year.
Another great tie. I noticed that you rarely add lead to your Euro style nymphs. Any particular reason?
