I am a 50 year old returning player. I have been watching videos. A lot of videos. I want to be a good solid player who understands the fundamentals. I boosted* to 58 and tried all three specs to see what clicked. Your videos, and *this* video really made me understand what I wanted from the game, how I wanted to play and gave me a purpose inside the game. Thank you for such excellent well presented content that is so easily understood, direct and entertaining too. An incredibly hard achievement for anyone in any field. Well, well done and thank you for this. * (I have arthritis haters, so yeah, not gonna grind it out)
If you didn't grind then you never really earned it. Pay to win has no excuse. You have too grind to experience more decision making...it's more then grinding is learning adapting...missing the point.
Bigger difference between bad and good druid... Chain Heal being smart heal makes Shaman ceiling lower than other healers. Obviously CoH is like this too but Priests don't use it until much till t5 and even in t5 they're still using their other heals quite a bit. Rshams pretty much full stop chain heal after t4
Great guide. Shammy is the only healer I've ever liked but I've never healed in the classic or tbc. First time was in cata... pretty stoked to learn how to chain heal.
One very confusing point that is made early on is that the initial target for chain heal has to be in your group. For WoW's TBC version of the game, the initial chain heal target can be in any group in your raid. As a raiding resto shaman I can confirm this.
The spreadsheet I mentioned at the end is now in the description, I forgot to post it earlier, sorry folks. Edit: 1:20 Correction: The 2nd Jump is reduced to 25% of the initial heal...sorry about letting that fall thru. Another way you can think about it is that the third bounce is 50% as effective as the previous bounce.
I'm really sorry about that. My audio tracks all have a pretty heavy compression effect, roughly 3:1. Right before I export I use a hard limiter according to UA-cam's recommended True Peak of -1 dB and I boost everything to their recommended loudness standard of -14dB LUFS with a 0.5 Tolerance. So, I'd like to say I do my due diligence there. It looks like you're referring to the sound effect though, but please let me know if there are any principal audio abnormalities (or anything else for the matter, quite frankly) As a side note, good sound effects are EXPENSIVE and I already pay for a music library from Artlist. Will try to get the money for it though.
What's the add-on being used to show the damage and heals on the side? I used to have it back in the day and can't remember what it was! Just started again last week. Thanks
This guide what I was looking for, Really good guide! I new to shaman mechanics and roll a resto one in TBC. very good examples and idea when to use what. quick question, is shaman capable healing from 60-70 party instances ?
I can't decide between a resto druid, or resto sham. I already have a 60 druid but he's full feral. Rerolled a shaman now that alliance has em. Ugh decisions decisions
hello maybe a noob question but on wednesday with prepatch will there be all new talents and spells? So bloodlust etc? And whats the recommend lvl 60 resto spec?
i did a general dps class picking guide (where i covered all dps specs in 20 mins )when I was first starting out.. you can see that here ua-cam.com/video/LOL7tL19hIw/v-deo.html. but it was not nearly as thorough as these videos are.
@@ZGTGaming I think videos on mage, hunter, warlock, rogue would be cool. Going into each of their 3 specs strengths and weakness. benefits gained from which professions and races.
@@Kwigs ok sure, the profession and races stuff i typically don't cover because I thought that other youtuber's would be doing that. Is that not the case?

I think if you understand prioritizing, adapting, and assessing the best way you can be utilized you'll see that shamans are good at ANY healing, but not the best. Once you accept this fact as a resto shaman you'll know what you need to do.

@@TheWayBackMachine72 If you say so kiddo.
Your videos are incredible, seriously the best out there. Dying to see a Holy Paladin guide 🙏
Thank you for the kind words, just uploaded the talents guide for holy paladins. Will be doing a more complete overview if the interest is there.
Been doing tons of research between Rdruid and Rshaman past few weeks but your explanations have shifted my decision ever so slightly :) Thanks a ton!
Hey goblin my friend, your in good company with either. Druid is more fun for me tho. More to min max

Really good guide! Explaining with proper examples is what ive been looking for.
Learned some things I didn't know. Was resto shammy back in WotLK thru Cata. You have a new sub.
Just discovered this channel. Need more like this.. best resto shaman guide that doesn't take an hour to watch!
Hey man I appreciate it I’ll be continuing to make content after the dark portal opens. If it helped you do me a favor and share !
thank you very much, very valuable and useful information
Very well put together, Thanks!
Urf shock. good video

I like your content, I am hoping for other healing reviews too. Like priest, and paladin in the same fashion.
Already been done bro

havent read comments maybe someone said already, but chain heal will jump to any raid member not just group members.
Ty for the guide. Currently leveling a paladin for healing in TBC but will instead go with a shaman. Paly will be for grinding.
Hahaha I love that you are using our footage from twins on Excalibur TBC :D that was a kill btw!
Please try to do some audio normalising my dude, peaks like the one in 1:43 really hurt the ears. Very detailed guide, keep it up!

@@okaytokay3619 haha thanks man. I really try to take everyone's feedback seriously but I'm still brand new to content creation for the most part

quick question, is shaman capable healing from 60-70 party instances ?

Dose that mean, that Chainheal will not jump between the different groups within a raid?
No he implied a booboo

Im 420th viewer yeah. Btw its a really nice video. But you could have included some talent builds too.
light up :), I'll keep that in mind
I don't think so. Talent trees aren't diverse enough. Strategy and techniques are the real treasure we come looking for.
thank you so much for the great video, do you know what ui is used in the first seconds of the video “Cthun fight”
Hey thanks man, I don’t know for sure, but I can hook you up with the video the clip is from
ua-cam.com/video/CGLgofjrymQ/v-deo.html looks like somebody else asked but didn’t get an answer. Hmm
What unit frames do you use? (the warrior fight on Curator)

Is he saying earFff shield
At 10:25 the text on the screen literally reads “1. Maintain Earf Shield” so clearly he’s doing no such thing.
doesnt chain heal jump groups from the intro it seems like you think it doesnt
It heals by priority, not by group, so yeah it cross examines a raid...that's why it's amazing.
Please list of addons?

How to resto shaman. Spam chain heal. This concludes our guide.
