History lesson…..That basket came from Dresden Ohio. They were made for the Longaberger basket company and I’m sure all of us (crazy collectors) purchased at least one at some point. Mine has been outside in the Texas heat for 20 years and still looks the same🤭😂😂
Wait was that actually a basket? If it was than it was made BY Longaberger. I bought a plastic one meant for outside in Dresden

I got busy over the years being a mom, lol , but thanks to you I am creating stuff again. I have ordered so many art supplies from Amazon, visited a few dollar trees and I'm ready to go . I can't thank you enough for giving me the inspiration and confidence to get back to diy and creating things again
The last one was my favorite. If you still have that handy and want to make it an even closer dupe, use a little antique gold rub and buff on the brads, and it will match better, and pop against the dark brown more.

Love the POTTERY BARN dupes, Liz! You really captured all of the little details, such as using the brads on the leather handles on the basket and rounding the edges of the leather. I thought the drip paint technique you did on the bottom of the vases worked brilliantly! The rub and buff gold trinket dish really looks rich and elegant. I think this one is my favorite. Just love watching what you create! So inspiring! Now I want to go and buy some sample paint to have on hand for all of my projects, too!

I actually was curious about the difference in pricing as someone else had asked. I only had to look up the first item (hurricane glass) to see how pottery barn’s would have been over $100 which is CRAZY! Thank you so much for all of your wonderful tips💗

I really enjoy these types of videos...give us more! My fav was the white boxes #2. Using that dowel was clever. I struggle to look at something and then recreate it but you did fantastic. I thought all the items matched pretty well.

I absolutely adore thrifting videos!!! & - BONUS - DIY of the thrift items! Please do more of these. One of my favorite videos was when your hubby went thrifting for items for you to DIY. For the handles on the basket, you also could removed the wicker ones, purchased a purse @ the thrift store & used the strap to make the handles. Then you would've also had "leather" to cover your tray. You also could've stained the picnic basket to give it a darker color like the PB basket. Still loved all of these!!! Keep it up!

One tip for painting the inside of the vase is to thin your paint and pour inside and swirl a few times. ( just a thought )
