Only 300 miles on it so far and it is averaging 3mpg better in combined driving even with the bigger/heavier truck. I was highly skeptical about the ecoboost in a vehicle this heavy, but Ford has made a believer out of me.

Ford's Website shows the engine choices. They are still going to offer the 5.4L V-8 on the Expedition. The vehicle they drove had the 3.5L Ecoboost and they failed to mention the other engine is still being offered on the newer model.
Ryan Edwards Ford has said for the new generation Expedition that the only engine offered is the 3.5L. The 2015 model is not yet on the website from what I can tell. Only the older 2014 is.
Hey, Roman, it's really great to see you back doing the reviews. Since you've been away, Nathan has really struggled to get the job done !!!! Please don't be too hard on him though, he'd be lost without you !!!!
I swear whomever put this video together suffers from a severe case of ADD. Nathan, let's check out the suspension adjustment...video cuts to engine, interior, towing capacity, rear seat, power, suspension, etc.....still hasn't touched the suspension setting.
The important thing is the 3rd row is usable in the regular length Expedition which competes with the Yukon and Tahoe. The 3rd row is useless in the GM twins unless you go with the longer wheelbase models and there's still that raised load floor in back with that useless storage bin. Expedition wins towing, interior volume and power over the Tahoe and Yukon.
And Nathan fits! But you did make it the hardest to get to the 3rd row, just pull the side lever twice fold and flip, not try to reach the back row tether.
The Tahoe and Suburban are superior over the Expedition. Sales say everything. Chevy sold 10,000 + Tahoes in the month of July. The Suburban sold around 5,000 units. Expedition only sold around 4,000 units. But if you want a great full size SUV look at the GMC Yukon, especially the Denali!
I love Ford, and in my opinion, the exterior of the Expedition looks better than the exterior of the Suburban. The interior of the Suburban looks better than the interior of the Expedition.
Personally, I really wish that ALL of the American manufacturers still made a smaller version of this. Like the full-sized Ford Bronco and the full-sized Chevy Blazer. And while I am wishing, I wish that the dimensions were the same as those older vehicles. I just watched a Mr. Truck video on this same automobile and one of the engineers, when asked if you this automobile was available with rims that were smaller than 22 inches, replied something like " well, um, no. That was a decision that was made by marketing." So, in other words, another example of form over function. You mentioned that this comes in two different lengths, but you never said which length this particular model was...
It definitely can come with smaller wheels. They offer 20s and even 18s on the lower trim lines. Sounds to me like Mr. Truck just got a hold of an idiot.... Also, why have a Bronco? That's where the Explorer comes in. I understand they aren't exactly the same, but it just wouldn't make any sense in the big picture to produce two vehicles that are so much alike. That being said, I do miss the old "OJ-mobiles"... You could do things with them that you just can't with these explorers.....
poundinthastreets You wrote: "That being said, I do miss the old "OJ-mobiles"... You could do things with them that you just can't with these explorers....." That is partially my point. And, in my opinion, The older full-sized Blazers and Broncos are better looking automobiles. I don't need anything with three rows of seats. And I don't need a full-sized pickup truck that is eighty inches wide. The super-sizing of everything is just getting more and more stupid every year. I was getting the oil changed in my pickup truck the other day. And while they were doing that, I was walking around and looking at the new models on the lot. On one side, there was a Jeep Grand Cherokee with rims that were twenty inches or more, and directly across from it was a RAM 3500 pickup truck. The truck had seventeen inch rims on it. This trend is just (in my opinion) ridiculous. If people want to put twenty-five inch rims on whatever they want them on, that's fine with me. But at least give me the option to NOT have them. That's all I'm saying.
Doesn't matter guys. They know they have at least semi consistent market share with this version of the expedition and navigator. They're not going to do a full update until they've made their nut with the new F150, then you can bet those two are going to be the first to get the aluminum makeover, probably saving more than 1000 pounds. I also read that an updated 3.5 ecoboost is coming with 385+ hp and 460+ tq. Sounds like a winner to me. They know what they're doing, and when the update comes (probably in '17) they'll knock it out of the park.
I like how Ford stuck with rugged/truck styling with the expedition. The suburban looks car like. i mean it would just look wrong if you lifted one of the 2015 suburbans compared to the expedition.
This poor guy was almost having a heart attack just climbing into the backseat. Come on man, you gotta stay healthy, we need you for many years to come to keep reviewing cars for us.
Coming from a Ford guy I think Ford really missed the boat on this one. This isn't a redesign, it's a refresh. There's hardly anything new about it. The ecoboost is nice and should have been offered years ago. Ford needs to start on a clean sheet of paper if they want to compete with the Yukon and Suburban. My dad has a 07' Expedition EL and while it was an awesome truck back then, it's pretty hard to see any major differences between it and these new ones aside from the new front end and new gauge cluster. Sorry Ford, but you didn't even really try this time.
Looks cool I'm not a Ford fan because we bought a 2005 expedition with 175,000 km and it's got about 17 mpg and the head gasket blew on use not even 5 months later. But if they can make the expeditions a lot better on gas I might convince our family to go buy another one
I would definitely choose a Tahoe/Yukon over this Expedition. They definitely did improve the Expedition, but they didn't completely overhaul it. And frankly, that's what it needed.... I would be worried that those twin turbos would go out after 6 or 7 years, and then it would be $$$$$$$$$....
Guys, Just wondering when you will be doing an off-road test on the Expedition, please? I'm thinking of buying one and would love to see how it shapes up.
Imma got it right. I'm talking the likes of Goldmine Hill as the worst case scenario and then, only very occasionally. I think the twin turbo on a smaller V6 motor is way better tan any V8 option.... more power, quicker, less weight, better fuel economy... it works for me. Having had a turbo car, I LOVE them. Biggest problem for me, is that I am all torso and an Expedition with a sunroof, just doesn't work. My head hits the sunroof surround. I would have to get a sunroofless XLT and load it up with extras, to get anywhere close to what I'd really like.
Now that Chevy has released the z71 option, can you do a review of the 2015 suburban 4x4 LT z71? I'm interested in how well it off roads or drives in snow sight the six inches of air dam removed up front. Thanks guys!!!
The old engine is a 5.4 Triton. I have an 2005 Expedition Eddiebaurer 4wd and it gets 12 mpg in the city and 18-19 on the highway @ 70 mph loaded down.
The Expedition will be fine. Only flaw I would say is the folding the second row. The Tahoe/suburban uses electric power folding on the second row. Just look how much of a hard time Nathan had just figuring out how to fold it. 4:58 I am not sure about the Navigator since it dropped in V8 for twin-turbo v6 producing less HP than the Escalade and Yukon Denali. Pretty sure the Navigator lost big time. If the Navigator had the 6.2L V8, same one found in the Raptor, then it would have a chance
The EcoBoost F150 out towed the Silverado with the 6.2L on the Ike Gauntlet though. Mostly because of the transmission programming, and the fact that the EcoBoost doesn't lose much power at altitude, and it makes peak torque for nearly the whole RPM range. So the Denali may pull ahead in a 0-60, but I think it will be very close. As for those power seats in the Denali/Escalade, I guarantee you the manual seats are faster to flip forward. SUre it took him a few moments the first time. But once you know, its one level and a pull and its done. The electric seats are annoyingly slow.
Yea. The Ecoboost got better over the years. idk, I like v8 more and i like the v8 purr sound on the Silverado more. Plus I wasn't sure on the Silverado ike Gauntlet video if the gears shifted properly. If you run it on manual, then it would be ok. The auto has it's quirks. The power seats when it was first introduced in the Escalade and Denali in 2007, they were really slow. A few minor adjustment will make it faster and convenient. BTW, by next year there might be a 8 speed transmission offered on the new Escalade.
Maybe ford will upgrade the turbos and tune the ecoboost for more power. I mean if people complain enough i think ford's gonna do something. They upped the power from the 6.7 powerstroke the second year it came out, so it could happen. Also power seats just add more potential for issues in the long run. motor dies and the seat won't fold anymore. atleast with a manual latch it may be cheaper and easier to replace.
bmwmsport11 "Also power seats just add more potential for issues in the long run. motor dies and the seat won't fold anymore. atleast with a manual latch it may be cheaper and easier to replace." true, but really who would fold down the second row when you got bucket seats? Bench seats would make sense. I got powerfolds on my escalade esv, I rarely use them unless I have big cargo.
the funny thing is not even the reviewers liked the new suburbans because they said they are too tight inside and considering this expedition hasnt changed much but got a new engine in which it needed, its become a golden dog compared to that new suburban
Yeah ford needs to restyle the expedition inside and out. Even if ford does I'll still take a suburban over a expedition why? Better looks, handling, better ride, and better gas mileage and much nicer interior
It works though... since 2003 the Expedition has been reliable and has good pickup while driving. Gas is the only downside to these things. I find it easier to park and drive than a lot of cars, and definitely has a better turning radius than my Volvo. But when I drove a suburban it just felt way bigger, although it wasn't, the seats weren't as snug, they were basically a couch cushion wide and had no support. The suburban also felt very wiggly compared to an Expedition and although it soaks up the smaller bumps better than an Expedition, the steering was way to mushy. I haven't been in a new one yet but they are prettier than an Expedition, they just don't have the practicality. The third row in a new suburban is a hill and doesn't suit adults.
Yeah the suburan has its flaws i admit. But again ever suv and car will have something good and bad about. I use to hate on the old gm for being so cheep and crappy but after seeing the new gm and i myself own a 2011 malibu i really do love it sure typical gm plastics but you eventually get passed that
I had heard that they haven't done a complete redesign because of the motors. Apparently they have tons of the motors that use in the expedition and were using in the F-150. They are trying to use up the remaining engines before doing a redesign, because when they do redesign, they always introduce a new engine. Maybe this is BS.... It's just what I've been told by some Ford folks.
I have an 07 EB EL 4x4. It has been BORINGLY reliable. I now have 212K miles on it and the engine and tranny are as strong as ever. On the highway, at 55mph with cruise, I get a RELIABLE 22mpg and about 20 at 65mph. It also handles like a 8000lb sportscar compared to the suburban, which feels like the family "tractor" by comparison...I drove both prior to buying. I won't upgrade until I hit at LEAST 300k. At the rate I am going, that will be spring of 16. My interior is still in GREAT shape and have not rattles or issues, body is also rust free. I do have an issue with paint peel on the tailgate though. At this point, no rust as the primer is still in tact. I will get that addressed this fall.
I have the previous gen (an 04 4.6 2WD) I can get 27 highway doing around 70 if I am careful (usually not and get around 23), and the best I've ever gotten on a tank (average speed of about 56) was 32. I understand how people get so many low figures when it comes to the Expedition, but I feel like the general population just thinks GAS GUZZLER and gets scared away. Yeah it's slow, yeah it's big, and yeah if I'm towing it doesn't really understand what third gear is (jumping from 2nd to 4th) but it's a great car. I can fly down dirt roads and across fields all day long without breaking anything, I can hit speed bumps at 50 and everything is okay, and at the end of the day I can still kick the tail out on asphalt and be able to control it. What more could a person want? Oh yeah, it does also have the 5 star crash test rating too, so seriously, what more is there to want out of them?
I like the 2015 Ford Expedition I think its very specious. I've always liked the expeditions. My mom had a 2003 Ford Expedition so I'm a big fan of the Expeditions
My dad is getting ready for a new large SUV. He has a 2009 Expedition el with 170k miles. The 5.3 V8 was very reliable, but I am wondering how reliable the new 3.5 TT V6 is...
I absolutely love my expedition... just wish the sound system was better!!! You figured with all the enhancements and stuff. The stereo would be booming.. but nooo..
If they are doing a Platinum Series Expedition that can not be good news for Lincoln as a brand. I had always though that the Platinum Series were just stuff that didn't have success as Lincolns (eq. the Lincoln rebadged F-150 that had the special edition brown leather and stuff like that was made into the F-150 Platinum) but now that they made a platinum expedition does this mean that the Navigator will either have to move even more upmarket or just be phased out ?
is this a redisign ? are we expecting a brand new design like the f150? because this new expedition its just different with the headlights and rearlights.. so are we expecting a new complete redisign?
I think the Expedition looks SO much better than the new Chevy Tahoe & Suburban/GMC Yukon & Yukon XL/Cadillac Escalade. The GM SUV's are very ugly and boxy in my opinion. Although the Expedition isn't a complete redesign, I still prefer it over the GM SUV's. Yes, there are some fine lines between what GM has to offer and what Ford has to offer (interior and exterior wise) but since I own a '99 Ford Explorer and a '96 Ford F-150, they've been in my family for some time. PS, I also have an '03 GMC Yukon XL but its not functioning and hasn't been for a while. There's another reason why I prefer Ford over and GM vehicle. Don't mean to offend anyone, just my opinion and what I'd prefer over the rivalry of GM and Ford.
I had an 07 Expedition EL Limited, and the only good thing about that 5.4 v8 Engine was its sound. It was incredibly slow. Too bad they didn't put the 5.0 instead, of the 3.5 Eco-Boost, I probably would buy a new one over the current Suburban if they had.
A redesign is expected in 2016 along with the Explorer. They are introducing the Ecoboost before the redesign which I find kinda weird not to introduce it with the new redesign but they might have another Ecoboost in the 2016 redesign.
Ryan Edwards I think they are waiting for that 9 speed they are working on with GM to be finished so they can drop it in their refresh and get a better head start compared to the current 6 speed in the new GM trucks.
2015 Ford that has a flat load floor, so the stuff doesn't fall out when I open the back. 2015 Suburban has a slightly sloping load floor so they can have power folding seats, but I can see stuff rolling out when I open the back. What I really want is an SUV that's made to carry my kids, not my bosses. I want easy to care for/replace seats, rubber floors (especially in the cargo area) and less electrical crap to break in ten years.
I would take the suburban/tahoe over this anyway. Way more refine better interior and the most important part better engine. That 6.2l from gm is good on gas and has way more power then this.
The only GM truck i would get is the Escalade. I used to love the Tahoe/Suburban but the redesign killed the rugged appearance, the body also looks weird cause they got rid of "clam shell" door design. Expedition still looks like a truck based SUV. The suburban almost looks car based.
Ford really needs to update the design. It's essentially the same as it has been for years. They just smooth out the sheet metal in different ways for every model year update. The belt line is too low, the front of the vehicle sits higher than the back,... just to name a few. It needs a lot more than a Titanium name, bigger wheels, and a new front grill.
Does the XLT have the Continuous Controlled Dampening suspension, too? Or is it just in the other trims? Thx, love the videos! When is the off road test coming for this?
Ever since Expeditions came out I have always thought Ford SUV's were better than GM. This looks better than a suburban or tahoe or yukon. I'll take this anyday.
i understand the eco boost v6 is worth its weight but i would like to see how long it lasts how dependable it will be in 5... 10 years from now... i think the 5.4 V8 is bullet proof. i have a 2000 F150 with 259,000 miles on it (5.4) and running well... a little tired but well. and i have a 2006 expy (5.4) with 153,000 running strong. i would like to see if a eco boost v6 lasts that long..
Well there goes the neighborhood the reason why people buy these suv are for the size and power of a n/a v8 but leave to Ford to throw the ecoboost engine which will probably leave you with turbo issues i seen the new suburban yesterday and i was very impressed this still looks the same and i seen the 2014 on the side of the road the other day with its hood up
I have a second gen Ford Escape, its way smaller but the looks remind me of this, which is a very good thing. Looks like a truck-UV, very cool and timeless Ford truck look. :)
I agree on the IRS and THIRD ROW SPACE. But who wants a 12 YEAR OLD DESIGN?!? Also carry over parts form the f150 and ford explorer in the INTERIOR!?.. It's severely outdated. I minus well just purchase a 2004 expedition. Wtf
Actually, as of now, I was wrong. I'll admit it. Those updated power ratings that I gave are for the refreshed Lincoln Navigator only. Before the refreshed Expedition was released, everybody assumed Ford would carry over the more powerful Ecoboost from the new Navigator and put it in the Expedition as well, but I guess they didn't do that. Instead, it has the same power and torque as the outgoing F-150, except it reaches peak torque at a lower rpm. So, recap: 2015 Expedition: 365 hp/420 lb. ft. 2015 Navigator: 380 hp/460 lb. ft.
so why Ford isn't making or improving their V8s?? its not about anything but if i get 2MPG more than a V8 i'd be disappointed:( i mean a V8 is a symbol of 'MUIRCA for the God sake put some money and make a V8 again!
Ford thinks 6 cylinders are better. The Hemi can get 23 possible 25 mpg on the highway. And that is putting the accelerator to the floor. They say this Expedition makes 365 horse power but when you get there, 8000 rpms. Chances are the vehicle will never reach that even with towing a large load. The V8 needs to come back. Ford made a good V8. Not as good as Dodge. Dodge has more pep and better fuel economy.
David MuscleGuy I like the ideal of a strong V8 with cylinder deactivation. Now if they want to combine that with a turbo or supercharger it might be interesting. But for me the V8 with cylinder deactivation is more appealing. If somebody else wants something else that's OK to. I tend to default to the position of the more choices/options the better.
My wife has an Expedition. Large and Comfortable, but a gas sucking monster. We're 3/4 of the way through a round the country journey... Currently in New York... BTW - Any State that puts Tolls on an Interstate - You freaking SUCK and I hate you. The Expedition for it's size and weight, cruises well enough. But for a 5.7 Liter V-8, the power and fuel economy disappointing. We should have got her a Yukon XL or Suburban instead. It tows well due to it's gearing, but you can really drop into single digit MPG's... and those Digits are on the small side. Of Dodge should make such a vehicle as this based on the Ram 1500 - which I'd buy in a heartbeat. The new Expedition seems to be just a refresh of the old Expedition. It's not "New" enough. And Ford's Interiors are way behind Chevy's. I'd pass on the new 2015 Expedition.
In my job we do a lot of off road driving. The Expeditions did not hold up. The frames would crack! Tahoe's held up better. Nothing against Ford. I like all American car companies. The Ford trucks and Excursion's did well. It's was just the Expedition that had the problems.
Most ford vehicles offer the 3.5L V6 Ecoboost engine now. Some vehicles even offer smaller Ecoboost engine types to a 1.0L. I think it's on the fusion energi but I'm not 100% sure.
Ford will probably never hit the ball over the head of the Tahoe/Suburban, but that doesn't matter. Ford still has the truck game tied up, and i think that has many years to go.
They ruined it with the v6 turbo. I just bought a 2012 Expedition King Ranch with only 39k miles that looks like it just rolled off of the assembly line. My father had a 2010 that he bought years ago and put over 215k miles and changed the oil every 3k miles.

You could do things with them that you just can't with these explorers....."
That is partially my point.
+Dave Wraxall You're really going to be taking a 45k vehicle off road ? if you really want to do offroad, just buy some cheap shit off copart
He doesn't mean rock crawling, but like through some snow or sand or up a steep hill.
Hey Nathan, you can go between the second row seats to get to the back too.
Ditto
Actually, it's not that easy to do. It's easier to fold the middle seat to create enough space to enter from the door opening.
An automatic replacement for the explorer.. Although i wish explorers still were body on frame
They should have let Doug Demaro review this car.
Ooh man what a nice ride.. we would have hoped you showed more explanation about the truck apps and what kind of stuff in the instrument cluster.
The Expedition will be fine. Only flaw I would say is the folding the second row. The Tahoe/suburban uses electric power folding on the second row. Just look how much of a hard time Nathan had just figuring out how to fold it. 4:58
I am not sure about the Navigator since it dropped in V8 for twin-turbo v6 producing less HP than the Escalade and Yukon Denali.
Also power seats just add more potential for issues in the long run. motor dies and the seat won't fold anymore. atleast with a manual latch it may be cheaper and easier to replace.
bmwmsport11
"Also power seats just add more potential for issues in the long run. motor dies and the seat won't fold anymore. atleast with a manual latch it may be cheaper and easier to replace."
true, but really who would fold down the second row when you got bucket seats? Bench seats would make sense. I got powerfolds on my escalade esv, I rarely use them unless I have big cargo.
I'm not sure but I think the Tahoe is 10k more expensive and only tow 8500 lb with the 6.2 cause if is the 5.3 Is going to tow less
I just want to know why the expedition is always so far behind the f150 when its the same underpinnings
the funny thing is not even the reviewers liked the new suburbans because they said they are too tight inside and considering this expedition hasnt changed much but got a new engine in which it needed, its become a golden dog compared to that new suburban
I like the expedition and always have. I take it the platinum doesn't come with 8 seats because of the captains chairs?
Looks a lot better but it needs a major redesign.
rented a expedition over the weekend during a snowboarding trip. interior is from the 90s.
Looks nice, though sad for the hard plastics
Yeah ford needs to restyle the expedition inside and out. Even if ford does I'll still take a suburban over a expedition why? Better looks, handling, better ride, and better gas mileage and much nicer interior
If they redesign it inside and out how would you know it wouldn't be better then garbage motors(gm) suv's
Because let's be honest gm suv's are much nicer than found on road dead (ford) suv's
I use to hate on the old gm for being so cheep and crappy but after seeing the new gm and i myself own a 2011 malibu i really do love it sure typical gm plastics but you eventually get passed that
***** Lmfao
I like the new GM's better but Expo's have had the best 3rd row always.
Yes
My dad is getting ready for a new large SUV. He has a 2009 Expedition el with 170k miles. The 5.3 V8 was very reliable, but I am wondering how reliable the new 3.5 TT V6 is...
I Like the styling not to brashy like the suburbans..they kept it simple and utilitarian
It's like a vehicle from the mid-90s.
Looks better than, the new Tahoe to me. The overall quality just looks better...interior, and exterior.
is this a redisign ? are we expecting a brand new design like the f150? because this new expedition its just different with the headlights and rearlights.. so are we expecting a new complete redisign?
Speedometer only goes up to 120 mph. No sale! Guess I have to go with the 2018 redesign and 10 speed transmission!
They took the tach out? Why don't they go back to the 85mph speedo to then?
Finally a regular review!!!
Is there by any chance you could give a solid black interior color?
I wonder what the maintenence cost would be V6TT VS. the V8?
How quite is the Expedition vs Toyota Sequoia?
can't wait until the actual redesign.
Caleb Dean what are your thoughts on it now that's it's been released?
Old design is way better. New one looks like a giant hatchback
Those door sills remind me of those DayRunners from the 1990s. I fear many of these new interior designs will not age well.
PS,
I also have an '03 GMC Yukon XL but its not functioning and hasn't been for a while.
Too bad they didn't put the 5.0 instead, of the 3.5 Eco-Boost, I probably would buy a new one over the current Suburban if they had.
are you sure this is the 2015 model? O.o
+jeffary625625 yeah the new models coming soon with have an 8 soled in them just how silverados are getting a 8 speed put in them now
2015 Ford that has a flat load floor, so the stuff doesn't fall out when I open the back.
The escalade is 85k to 90 and the expedition I think is 65k
crazy wheel
In the us its 70 so its pretty close to the expedition
I thought that the difference was 20k or more but if is only 5k I'll say the escalade won
Yea the Escalade is a lot better in my opinion as well
that body style goes back to 2004 I believe with minor tweaks (exterior ) pretty much still the same
Ford really needs to update the design. It's essentially the same as it has been for years. They just smooth out the sheet metal in different ways for every model year update. The belt line is too low, the front of the vehicle sits higher than the back,... just to name a few. It needs a lot more than a Titanium name, bigger wheels, and a new front grill.
That speed gauge?? LMAO once I saw that I was looking for the 3 on the tree! DAMIT NATHAN!! Bucket seats... go around them.
I'm sure soon it will have an EcoBoost V8
, I Hope they option to use a Diesel if a V8 never makes it's way back.
i understand the eco boost v6 is worth its weight but i would like to see how long it lasts how dependable it will be in 5...
Well there goes the neighborhood the reason why people buy these suv are for the size and power of a n/a v8 but leave to Ford to throw the ecoboost engine which will probably leave you with turbo issues i seen the new suburban yesterday and i was very impressed this still looks the same and i seen the 2014 on the side of the road the other day with its hood up
This SUV already looks like the decade old Freestyle/Taurus X. It's a shame they didn't use the 2015 F-150 front face.
Seen one in the wild in west Virginia with Michigan plate pretty vehicle!
So The Fast Lane Car when is the Navigator review coming?
It was a 5.4 not 5.3 and I recommend Nathan read a book, specifically the manual for the vehicle!
I have a second gen Ford Escape, its way smaller but the looks remind me of this, which is a very good thing. Looks like a truck-UV, very cool and timeless Ford truck look. :)
Expedition has low end torque, IRS, more cargo and 3rd row space and Tahoe/Suburban has bells, whistles, and looks. Do you choose style or substance?
I agree on the IRS and THIRD ROW SPACE. But who wants a 12 YEAR OLD DESIGN?!? Also carry over parts form the f150 and ford explorer in the INTERIOR!?.. It's severely outdated. I minus well just purchase a 2004 expedition. Wtf
Hey guy's, How about reviewing the 2015 ford explorer sport . I know you reviewed the 2013 model but how about an update.
Those power and torque numbers that Roman gave are WRONG. The updated 3.5 liter Ecoboost V6 makes 380 hp and 460 ft. lbs. of torque.
So, recap:
2015 Expedition: 365 hp/420 lb. ft.
2015 Navigator: 380 hp/460 lb. ft.
In the next gen expedition hp is 375 and torque is 435
so why Ford isn't making or improving their V8s?? its not about anything but if i get 2MPG more than a V8 i'd be disappointed:( i mean a V8 is a symbol of 'MUIRCA for the God sake put some money and make a V8 again!
Robert Baratheon i think there is hope! they're saying when the next Expedition will have a V8!
Robert Baratheon towing is about torque, not hp, and the ecoboost makes all of its torque before 4k rpm
Oh, how much torque?
I was hoping they put the Ecoboost in there. NOW FORD, put a 3.0 v8 diesel in there.
Wrong stupid
They only have the 3.0 powerstroke in the f150 now
@@urielhernandezT150 I'm not your mother.
SHUSH
I believe the 2015 Explorer has 3.5L, but it has 380 HP, not 365 HP.
I've been waiting in the wings looking for an updated body style. Kind of disappointed with the grill, but I do like the interior.
Ford is doing what it did to the Ranger with the Expedition, 2003 was along time ago we want something all new!
Tan costosas que son estas camionetas y aún no pueden hacer que los asientos de plieguen automáticamente?
i wish they still made the suv coupes/sports...anybody know why they stopped making them?
I do like the new Durango. I almost got that for myself. Still might!
George Hill A new Sequoia and Armada are in the works too, keep that in mind!
Durango all the way... You get more bang for your buck the rest or just ridiculously overpriced gas guzzlers
install CNG on it with 20qb u can go for about 150-160 kilometres
NY is by far the shittiest state
In my job we do a lot of off road driving. The Expeditions did not hold up. The frames would crack! Tahoe's held up better. Nothing against Ford. I like all American car companies. The Ford trucks and Excursion's did well. It's was just the Expedition that had the problems.
Is this the same engine used in the Taurus SHO ?
Most ford vehicles offer the 3.5L V6 Ecoboost engine now. Some vehicles even offer smaller Ecoboost engine types to a 1.0L. I think it's on the fusion energi but I'm not 100% sure.
This video will not play.
i like the expedition but the lincoln's back end looks ridiculous and the exact same lights as the Durango just closer to the bumper
isn't it easier to just pass the second seat and walk through the middle of the two bucket seats to get to the back?
It's about time they got rid of the archaic 5.4 liter. That was long overdue
