    One of the greatest quotes ever was when Jake was asked who he would not want to fight in real life. He said if he had a gun and Haku was coming at him, he’d shoot himself, because he wouldn”t want to shoot Haku and miss and piss Haku even more.

He did what was right for his family and for his brand, absolutely nothing wrong with that, Hogan owed no one anything and yeah Hogan was a politician but so was everyone else, that's how wrestlers were taught to act in the old days before guaranteed contracts a LOT of people are just really mad and jealous cause he was better at it than they were.

In a fight in the street Haku would have greviously injured them. Why? Commitment, He has bitten a guys nose off and with the other things have been recorded of him in fights he has a greater commitment to walking out the othere side than 99% of people he will fight. My youger brother is the same when he was getting in trouble after leaving the army when he got into a fight he would do whatever it took to the other guy to minimise the injuries he would take. and he deeply messed dome people up. Training is only half the equation. You need the mental conditioning to actually be willing to main or kill an opponent. That is waht the majority of Military training is for teaching the commitment neccessary to take life. Thats why its easier to kill with a gun than with a knife because the gun provides a form of disconnect. Most stabbing are almost frenzied affairs with the victim almost always taking half a dozen blows at least due to attacker having to work himself up to do so. Look At nother real fight that happened in WWE Goldberg and Jericho. Goldberg in theory should have ripped Chris a new one. What happened? Chris choked him out with a front facelock. Commitment. I honestly think you need to look into teh psychology of violence and the principles behind martial arts not just mout and pound.

    Haku had a very thankless job in the Colossal Connection. He had to work entire tag matches by himself and then Andre would do his one spot or whatever he could and then Haku did the job at the end. Tough position to be in, but I'm sure the pay was decent at least.

    • @D2Kprime
      @D2Kprime Рік тому

      I don't think he looked at it that way. Him and Andre were good friends and he knew that Andre was in a lot of pain and not long for this world, so him carrying Andre in the Colossal Connection I would imagine would have been an honor for him to the guy that carried the sport for so many years.
      If there is any "thankless" aspect in this it would have to be with Andre on how he put over Hogan at Mania III, he put over the Warrior in numerous house shows to get him ready _for_ Hogan at Mania VI, and he kept wrestling despite having no business being in the ring as a favor to Vince McMahon. He was DONE with wrestling when he went to go film _The Princess Bride,_ but Vince enticed him to come back for Mania III. Sure, he got paid handsomely, but who knows how much longer Andre would have lived had he of retired sooner? The way he was just tossed aside by Vince McMahon I felt was "thankless."

    All Barbarian & Haku cared about was making money to feed & take
    care of their family. They very few times in the ring with Hogan they
    got a bigger check. Haku was on one of Hogan knows best episodes where
    it was a party with a few of Hogan's buddies over. Nasty boys,beefake
    Haku & a few others. I remember it well. Haku went to jump into the
    pool were everyone was & they parted & got out of his way
    instantly. You could see they did not want to mess with him.

    He seems like a good guy. Even more impressive to me though is watching his old matches and seeing how professional he was in the ring. It's hard to believe someone with such a tough guy reputation didn't take liberties with his opponents. Imagine being this guy and selling for HBK or someone like that.

    • @Meng4Now

      He actually did put Shawn over, at WrestleMania VII. Granted it was a tag team match, the Rockers vs Faces of Fear, but yeah, I think the lawsuit ended Haku's WWF push, especially after Heenan transitioned to the announce desk. Haku never took liberties in the ring, cause that was his way of providing for his family.

    When you watch haku wrestle he chants as the match goes on

    • @zemmons5000
      @zemmons5000 4 роки тому

      The chanting is actually a wrestling kind of cadence similar to QBs in football, as they do it, the chanting or grunting or like Mick Foley used to squeal and so does hannibal, its then easier to communicate between them what they are going to do without being heard calling spots.
