      Should be in this years 2020 hall of fame class be in Haku's home state of Florida instead of Batista as the headliner should be Haku's nephew The Rock

      @@rict5878 At least Jericho and Guerrero had the cruiserweight, TV and US titles. They had good matches in WCW and so did Austin. Austin should have been pushed further as he was tag , Tv and US champ. Austin was actually a better technical wrestler in WCW cuz he had neck and knee injuries he became a brawler in WWF.

    I know this man as Meng. I loved him in WCW and never knew until much later that he was known as Haku outside of WCW. He helped put Goldberg over and I’m sure that Bill was very grateful for that. Meng seems like a true gentleman. And to hear him talk about Harley Race is wonderful. Two of the toughest wrestlers that ever came down the pike.

    Haku/Meng is such a humble and nice guy. You can see how honored he was to be placed with Race as a young, up and comer in the business...then to be given the blessing by Harley to be the next “King” in the WWF/E. I love how real tough guys are so humble and unassuming

      @@steve1506 Haku and Harley were drunk sitting at the bar and Haku made some disrespectfull remarks about my girlfriend so I went over and bitchslapped him, Harley come running over so I body slammed him. Then Haku stood up to punch me and I drop kicked him knocking him out.Harley got up and ran out the door.

    I remember when Haku started his career in Hawaii..He was known as Tama Tonga...Talk about athletic, he had one of the most athletic builds of any wrestler at that time...He must’ve been around 22-23 yrs of age..Plus he had sumo training at the time...He was built as Don Muraco’s protege at that time...

    What a top Notch guy ! I had the opportunity to see King Tonga wrestle when he was the Canadian Heavyweight champion in the 80's . What a superb athlete! His battles with Rick Martel , Dino Bravo, Gino Brito and Raymond Rougeau were classics. All of them were in their early 30's and at their prime ! We were very fortunate to have wrestling of that caliber before all of them got signed by the the major territories.

    Haku also had a variety of moves that he used only a long time ago,I am more surprised how that’s not talked about much,I remember he used a sit down power bomb that was executed to perfection
    For a man who could hurt anyone he wanted,Warlord said his kicks could take a man’s head off but when he kicked you full force you never got hurt,that’s skill right there and a true professional!

      Not sure if y'all know this,bur he trained in sumo and marital arts for years. I think he would have done well fighting in mma matches.
      It's hard to believe the guy talking is the same guy who bit off a nose and tried ripping out an eyeball in bar fights.

      Haku was offered a UFC shot in ‘93-‘95, I’d have to look up the UFC event to recall for sure. He turned it down, I always wanted to know why.

    meng was one of my favorite wrestlers in wcw.i loved when he would use the Tongan Death Grip on anyone in the ring and it sucked that they didn't really push him to win any single championships.. they dropped the ball with him.

    Haku was a great wrestler and great champion. I loved him in the WWF with The Islanders and with Andre The Giant. He was great as King Haku.

    Everyone talks about Mengs toughness, but I think his humble attitude and overall kind personality are what should define him. He just seems like a great dude, but his badassery overshadows that for most people unfortunately.

    Harley Race and Haku never had a real shoot match because if they had it would still be going to this day

      They had a match in the royal rumble for the the throne. It was Harley’s final match. It was ‘89 or ‘90.

    I remember seeing him wrestling in Chattanooga in the 70s as Prince Tonga I believe. He was so lean compared to how big he became.

    Yeah that man was my idol...8 years old looking for an autograph in Chicoutimi Centre Georges Vezina early 80s...few of them signed Dino Bravo some other but King Tonga just slapped my pen and paper out of my hand with a reverse slap and went on mumbling not looking at me...he was my idol i will never forget his face even after not seeing him in 40 years.

      In the ring if you knew the ropes all you would have to do is listen to harley and not piss off meng......outside the ropes a quick firing high caliber handgun is your only chance solo against both men

    it blew my mind to learn that the whole reason Haku came to Japan was to be a sumo wrestler - he competed professionally for two years and did really well, but his stable got into some kind of scandal and he had to retire, which is when Baba took him in
