I think everyone can agree this is one of those tracks that really gets the juices flowing.. Absolute badassery. Dave showed compassion on guards he could've had the crowd smash them. Power right there.
This song has one if the sickets riffs written. Wished the foo fighters did an entire album with this tuning so much stoner metal goodness here...love it
Actually that is PR Dave because he knows the perfect thing to say to appear to be all freedom and punk rock while making "authorities" look bad. Its a cheap trick for performers, an old trick... but he played it well.
@@jamesbarrick3403 lmao I can get what you’re tryin to get at with that, but I really don’t think it had anywhere near that amount of thought put into it, probably just saw a couple people get roughed up and let security know they can be a little bit more lax but still get them out of the way. Nothing wrong with trying to peel back the veil so to speak on figure heads when they’re “fake” or whatever but Dave’s been getting that for decades now I’m sure at this point he could care less about his street cred in the punk scene, even more so now but probably by this point as well.
as many have said, it's a Gibson RD artist with active Moog electronics, Krist used the bass version throughout the tours for Nevermind an In Utero, very valuable and collectible instruments if they are made before '77 which had a 25.5 scale length as oposed to standard Gibson of 24.75 which is what they were after '77
darokdetra yes I'm 45 so I'm only a couple years younger. My neighbors hate when I crank my guitar and play along with this song. lol it' sounds so good though.
Ya era bueno en aquella epoca, hoy es mejor todo el grupo, han ganado mas calidad y profesionalidad. NO SE SEPAREN NUNCA. Tomen nota de lo que hacen los Rolling para no desistir.
XXFancyPantsJrXX to clarify, he joined after their old drummer, William Goldsmith quit in the middle of the production of The Colour and the Shape. Dave recorded the entirety of the drums for the album and Taylor stuck around for touring until he was tossed in the studio for There's Nothing Left To Lose.
An audio version of this is on the Breakout Pt. 2 single, and I was wondering how to make that noise at the beginning on guitar. It's also in Drive Me Wild.
I researched on what the hell Dave strapped to his guitar. Judging by the shape of it, it's a BOSS pedal with three knobs. Someone said it's a BF flanger, - the BF is purple but has a row of 4 knobs, not 3 knobs in a "triangle". The only purple 3 knob BOSS pedal I could find is a discontinued pedal, the DM-2 or DM-3 Delay. I believe it's the DM-2 because it's a darker purple than the DM-3. Why the hell he has a DELAY of all things on his downtuned firebird is beyond me though.
Yeah it looks like the DM-2 to me, i think ive seen him use that for the delay part in rope now. It could be the same pedal and maybe hes had it since then.
@@mightymorphinmonty7618 No, I figured that he mounted a delay pedal onto his guitar, as explained here: ua-cam.com/video/qKKNGYlxxB8/v-deo.htmlsi=MW9dlCBatmQzrT8-&t=315
It's a boss DM-3 delay pedal. the weird noise he's making around 0:37 is (i believe) by turning the repeat knob all the way up and then turning the intensity knob. It's probably on the guitar for easier access
Stacked actors is one of the best songs ever, especially live. That Drop A is so heavy. "One, two. WEEEEEAOWHH"
Cool song, yeah. But worked live so much better for me.
I am amazed that their guitars stay in tune with the drop A tuning.
1:15 "OGGH"
This comment 🤣👌
Words perfect even. 6 year later

Instruments, actual singing, that sick riff...this is music
This song has one if the sickets riffs written. Wished the foo fighters did an entire album with this tuning so much stoner metal goodness here...love it
this particular song has the same tuning as boris by the melvins so maybe dave was a little inspired
I like how at the beginning of the video, Dave Grohl is like super young and is already acting like a dad.
I mean he was 30
Super young lol it was 2000 and he’s born in 1969. There’s some 31 year olds with teenage kids
Actually that is PR Dave because he knows the perfect thing to say to appear to be all freedom and punk rock while making "authorities" look bad. Its a cheap trick for performers, an old trick... but he played it well.

I miss these Foo Fighters..... 💔
taylor killed it at this show
foo fighters in their absolute prime and best lineup they ever had!!!
I like how Dave has a pedal on his guitar
Yeah I noticed that... never seen that before.
Boss ce-2 fyi🤤
@@booitsnick looks like a Dm-2 delay to me
@@carterdaly3063 that’s what I thought too cause those sounds at the beginning were from a delay pedal
@@carterdaly3063 - no way. It's a BOSS BF-2 Flanger pedal. BOSS color codes their pedals and you can almost read the word Flanger on the pedal.
omg his voice im melting away rn
This is my first Stacked Actors performance I saw on youtube. I keep coming back to it everyday. I love them so much.
My all time favorite Foos song

What an underrated song! love it! and of course! motorhead rules!

I missed out of alot of years of foo fighters. Lol
That man is an ANIMAL
Dave Grohl forever
I love the riff! the way they used AADGBE for the guitar tuning inspired me, so i tuned my guitar to GGDGBD and made a riff!
Daughter by pearl jam is in the same tuning
I was in this mosh pit and nearly died lol 🫠 the security guys pulled me out thank god
@vintagemusic11 definitely looks like a BOSS Flanger pedal
thanks, I just found out they tune the low E string down to A :)
The national anthem of Courtney love
Is just me that is perplexed about Dave's sideburns...Like...His jaw moves...But, the sideburns stay at the same place...Well they're still awesome...
Guy on the drums plays just like Dave when he was young, they even sound the same in their style...

It's for the trippy sounds. Easy to control it when taped to the guitar. Some people have the effect built into the guitar.
I put velcro on my guitar after seeing this
Can you imagine how sexy Dave would look with this haircut and his current beard?
Hey! I have the same #Motorhead t-shirt. But who cares...

What guitar is dave using? It looks like a firebird but distorted, similar to the krist novoselic bass:O
