Hi. Some people don't care for the scent but Arko is a nice and slick soap. No sting on the splash means you had a good shave 👍 If the wife told me I could only have 2 razors these would fit the bill. Like you're saying if you're lazy the r41 is a good choice. Enjoy your weekend
Excellent comparison my friend! Also, how did I miss that you also have a channel? 🤦 Glad that I discovered it, will have some videos to catch up on 😄 My personal Muhle ranking is: 1. Rocca (R95) 2. R89 3. R41
Well, I guess I flew below radar 😁 I liked R94 for full mat look, but R95 handle is a beauty! I think the new R41 is now best-buy as it never felt so comfortable, it is slimmed down as far as I've noticed
@@Wicked-Whiskers Oh interesting, I belive they updated it around 2021-22 if I recall correctly. Is this the one that you're referring to or they did a more recent update?
I had my first somewhere in 2022-3 and this should be 1st upgrade (up to 2013 it had more blade exposure) but just before NY 2025 I got another R41 head, which feels slimmer, more rounded on comb, had laser engraved code and more pronounced blade clamping sitting. I guess they had done some minor updates in 2024, although shave quality is the same, just have some visible novelties 🤔
@@Wicked-Whiskers i looked at mine and it has no serial number engraved nowhere. Just stamped number „5” under top cap. No other markings on the head. Can you show next time with r41 the serial number?
Great shave and comparison. I think you're maybe the only UA-cam shaver who doesn't emphasize the "aggressiveness" of the R41. They almost made me hate it. I don't know what the deal is, but it cannot be that scary, right? They present it as this wild beast of razors, but I'm sure it's not as aggressive as most of them present it to be.
Well, if you think about it - it's the blade that do the cutting, razor is the tool to provide you grip and balance point. For that cause, some can behave more rigid or chattering, more gap - less gap, and I like to point out that I nicked myself with any razor and also had great shaves with all of them 😁 It's just how comfortable ride you want. For mine 1-2pass, WTG, XTG R41 is "hot momma" for someone else it could feel differently. Only thing that makes me mad are shavers who need 4passes + touch up, that is just signal you're doing something wrong

Great summary as always my neighbour 🤗
I am very pleased to have found your channel. Just subscribed! Cheers from Canada.
Engineer as well, if I may guess? 😁
Thanks man, much appreciated, I hope you'll enjoy videos and have bit of entertainment as well, cheers 🍻

Arko is the biggest bang for the buck 😁
Nice comparison shave 😁

@@Wicked-Whiskers very interesting. Thanks for sharing this info! 🙌
Is 2024 r41 head somehow marked? How to recognize them?
Bottom part is bit thinner, has laser engraved serial number and when assembled feels bit more rounded on the blade part. Almost Fatip-rounded
@ thanks!

@efektmurowany I will, it's time to change blade anyhow 😁 Maybe I'll take a small break from Muhle, but will make a close-up on new R41 head
While you are at it, what is the handle you are using with the R41? Looks different from default muhle handle.
