    Great technique, bong! I never thought to stuff the egg and sausage inside the pork filling. I have been craving num pao, so that will be my next recipe of yours to try. I must admit I have been cheating by using the store-bought num pao mix...now I will have to give your dough recipe (and pork filling) a try since it looks so delicious just like your egg rolls! 🙂

      Nancy L. Thank you so much for your honest comment oun! Nothing wrong with cheating and make things a bit easier when it comes to cooking. If you mix the flour that is in the package, your num bao will be whiter. Kneading by hand is really tough. 😁 hope you like the recipe. Please come back let bong know how yours turn out. ❤️

      I just finished making this. I made 12 large buns. Yummy filling--I have about 1.5 cups of it left which I will save for eggrolls. Thanks again for sharing the recipe!

    Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe. I can’t wait to try and make this at home. You asked how we have smooth boiled egg? Here’s how I do mine: After I remove them from the pot, I put them in ice cold water and let it rest for a few minutes before peeling off the shell. It usually does the trick! Thanks again for sharing!

    Your bun look good nice shape, you make filling a Vietnamese styled, Chinese they put shiitake mushrooms no clear noddle, jicama, onion and little bits vinegar on boiling water it will make the bun white when you steam. Thank you for sharing.

    I usually pour a tbsp of vinegar into boiling water to boil eggs.. and in always come out easy 😊

    After the eggs are cooked, poured out the hot water and soak them in the cold tap water . Leave them for 5 -10 min. Then you can peeled them

    Hi...best way to get nice boiled egg. Use very fresh eggs after boiled eggs put into ice cold water quickly... This makes the membrane inside the egg stick to iner shell not the egg... Makes it easy to peel.....hope this is helpful...

      Lucy Leong it is possible the dough didn’t rise when steamed. But sometimes the dough is already dry when steaming.
      If the dough doesn’t rise when steam, the bun will be hard after cooked.
