1 tsp/5g salt
¼ tsp/1.5g baking soda
1 tbsp/15g oil
1 egg
1+1/8 cups/275g water
3 cups/450g all purpose flour

Dont follow this recipe. I tried to make it yesterday and it turned out a bad recipe. The youtiao tasted too salty and smelled like urine or some sort. I guess it is attributed to the baking soda added in the recipe. And also, the youtiao looked ugly, not as what you see in this video. The author gave a failed instruction. So disappointed !
Thank you so much for this video. I have tried once and its a success, the people at home loves it very much.. Now im going to do it again😊

Yummy! Making this for my family!!🤗
i remember that when i was a young boy in Manila, Philippines. I usually watch preparing and cooking in a Chinese bakery we called it Bicho-Bicho and exactly the same procedures except after cooking they rolled it in big round flat rattan container with sugar for flavoring. I love it for snack with my Coca-Cola soda.
