    I have one of these things. I love it so much. It's a 2008 and I got it in 2011 with the previous owners being very destructive. I've had multiple problems with it. Rain damage, broken pedals, broken suspension, crashes, cracked frame, etc. That's mostly from the previous owners and I not being very careful with it. Those were all relatively easy fixes but it's still running! Very reliable and fun vehicle.

    Just got one for my son. How do you know what year these are to be able to order parts because we bought it used one but it looks like this one that you’re working with. Thanks Greg Denton out Of Kentucky.

    I had one of these for over two years... put over 600 miles on it and sold it for $900, tore the fenders off of it from driving it into trees and it's great for driving in water with since it has a snorkel, I prefer a four wheeler though.

    Watch the downhill turns. My kid got his new in 2008. In 2009 he was going down hill in my yard making a slight turn the front rim grabed the dirt and sent the kart, kart wheeling through the air he reached up and the roll bar snapped his arm in 3 places.

      No prob. This Kart is wicked. I upped the main jet and put a no rev. limit cdi on and it cranks out good for a 150cc. Built to take punishment. Probably post more vids soon of stuff on it

      It could possibly be electronic component(s) related, but also could be carburetor/fuel delivery related. What you should do, is determine if it still has spark present, when it will not start. Easiest way to check that, is simply get another spark plug, pull your plug wire off and plug in the test plug, and have someone spin the engine over with the key, as you watch the spark plug. If it has spark, you'll be able to see it, as long as you have some shade, or low light conditions. That is the first thing to check, is for spark/no spark. If it still has spark present, that can be seen at the spark plug, then you will be looking at a fuel delivery issue, or carburetor issue, maybe both. I just finished fixing one of these exactly like the one in this video, today. It had sat for a long time, long enough for rust to eat the inside of the fuel tank up. All that, along with the dead gas, fouled all the lines, the filters, (one screen filter inside the tank, and an inline filter in the fuel line going to carburetor) and fouled the carburetor up inside. I could have taken the carburetor off and apart, and cleaned it out, but I found a deal online for a new fuel tank, and new carburetor, with all new fuel line, new manifold, new fuel lines, and clamps, all in a package deal. I put all that stuff on today, and now that Kart runs like crazy! Back to yours- If, you do not have any spark present when you test it, then you most likely have a bad CDI module, and/or ignition coil. Those two, are also usually sold and purchaced together. I hope this helps you to diagnose your Kart's issue, good luck!

    I added a horn to mine... annoy the whole neighborhood I do... however I have the carbide`s younger brother... the Zircon... its almost the same except for the hitch and the lights. it has a parking brake but its not as convenient... I have a bench seat instead of independent seats... still good tho... it dosent have the basket... or all the lights... and finally it dosent have front brakes... but it dosent need them... and you said an oil filter? mine don't have that either.. but it is still extremely fun

    I figured out how to rewire everything based off the schematics, and I ended up figuring out that one of my valve clearances was a little off and then it fired right up. What I need from you now if you don't mind is some kind of specs on the seats? They don't make the passenger seat anymore and I really hate to purchase the driver's seat from the manufacturer because you have to pay the extra shipping. If you could tell me like the size of the base and maybe how high they are maybe I can go and purchase them locally from a parts store? I know they are the same seats that come in your sports cars

    I'm interested in buying a used American Sportworks Carbide 7150 150cc, but the battery is dead.
    What Battery Size does it use?
    Can you recommend a source for parts besides ebay? Lately part options getting kinda thin there..
    Also, would be getting a Carburetor . Can you recommend a good stock one and source?
    Front Tire Brand , Size, Source?
    I found out American Sportworks changed their name to American LandMaster however no longer sell Go Karts. I contacted them more more info. Haven't heard back yet.
    Thanks for your time.

    You ever have a problem with your starter continuing to turn over even with the key out? I'm trying to identify if this is the ignition switch or if it is the starter or a fuse? If you have any ideas for me to look that be great thanks

    • @scannerguy1968
      @scannerguy1968  7 років тому +1

      I'd have to say the switch. Could bypass the switch and try it by touching wires from batt to starter and see if it goes away. The switch puts juice to the starter.

    Hello I'm considering buying this go kart or the Trailmaster XRX this summer. Does the chain break a lot? Are there any issues with the clutch and the engine? How do you tighten the chain? Is this go kart high quality and are there any issues with it?

    • @scannerguy1968

      +Zac Hultink It's been great with really no issues. I put mudlites on now and of course did the mods. No issues with the clutch,chain or anything. One wrench tightens the chain from the back side my moving the motor ahead

    • @aliceisinchains1

      @luisbarrieta 9 років тому

    • @aliceisinchains1
      @aliceisinchains1 9 років тому

      Must be the wiring harness then, that could have been what was wrong with mine too because I had to boost off the second battery I put in it a lot, I hope you can fix it. Unfortunately these go karts are generic so they are cheap made and aren't very reliable.
