The thing you thought was the amp im pretty sure is your Regulator Voltage Rectifier. and i would fully charge the battery give it a 3 second turn no more than 5 seconds on and rest fr 5 seconds. IF FULL BATTERY DONT WORK CHECK YOUR VALVES.. Move in and ex valves on cylinder head in like your pinching them together , set piston to TDC then move them away till you feel resistance an then back just one line, N screw in tight... each line is called a graduation mark... then I would start messing with the carb if its still not starting. air fuel mix, needle, and maby some jets. All in all a 3 to 5 dollar thing of carb cleaner and a lil elbow grease , and a year or 2 of non stop reserch should fix your problem lmao.. Im curious to know if your cylinder head has any markings on it the top and or mid part
Put the choke on. I have a 150cc hammerhead and couldn't start it for about 3 months. I change the oil, put a new spark plug in it and even bought a new battery bc the one I had wasn't keeping a charge. I went up to the dealership and they told me to try the choke which is located under the passenger seat.. I did that and started right up..

Dude this is a chinese buggy rebranded , many parts from it are exactly the same as on a chinese buggy , damn the front brakes at 4:40 are 100% the same as on my chinatown 200cc quad but still awesome doe
change this Intake Manifold, CFmoto CF250, Honda Helix especially at the junction of the pressure hose tube wants to pull out and loses pressure when you change a turn on and run everything else is ok! I have this and I have been on it only a problem
They are not made in Canada they are made in China... If you drive them hard they will break.. Often.... Welds are weak if you roll it completely over the cage will absolutely compress (roll to side isn't as bad) I had to reinforce welds on my front struts as the Chinese factory ones where very short and almost tack welds.. Bent a hub broke/bent several bars welds pull away with any force, broken ignition(common problem) I had fun in mine but the suspension is Terrible the shocks although it
I also have the 250ss and i've never had any problems with it. I the only thing wrong with it is that the speedometer isnt working. I thought it was a loose wire but could it be anything else?
that being said, yu would assume they are only getting spark in this one position, but when key is turned back to run, they wont have this connection! worse comes to worse, yu could always by-pass the ignition, however they are pretty cheap and easy to install
you dont have ignition problems. maybe you have no gas in it, or u do and you just have to prime the engine. u can spray starting fluid, brake cleaner, just about anything flamable. u can pour gan directly in to the carbs, too. it is just that the gas isnt in the fuel line so the engine wont run
i would replace the ignition, clean the spark, and when cold starting you put your hand over the muffler. it should start. then you take your hand off of it

The owners manual SUCKS for the hammerhead!!! What friggin octane gas are you supposed to put in it? I'm thinking 90, but is 89 o.k.? Or do I have to go for the 93?

what yu should do is check the back of the ignition make sure yer contacts are clean, and or put some contact glue on the plugins, then yu should take out a sparkplug, leave it in the boot, and have the igniting side on a clean peice of non painted metal! have someone turn the ignition and someone check for spark! do not touch the spark plug while doing this, yu may have a failing coil! let me kno what happens after yu try this!
@xxmattxx15 I have 4 of these, the trannys are good as long as you don't shift wile the back wheels are spinning. Hammerhead Canada went tits up in 2009 though.

My mate has one shipped from canada. It's bit rough no lights ect but it's running frames fine motors fine. I'm thinkn of buyin it it's a 250 but is there any way to allow the engine full power? Where or how does its speed governor work so I can remove it? Cause for a 250cc it only Max's out at about 35-40kmph. Whochs isn't very fast. Off-road stuff you'd likely never hit that speed but on roads ect it feels soooo slow
Thats awesome man, they are great little machines! I'm sure there may be, but all i know of at the moment is re-jetting the carb, getting rid of the air box and just throwing a filter directly on the carb. I was able to get mine to pretty much 80kph. the readings are in Mph
@@NewSkoolRednecks On the carburetor there's a L shaped hose that leads to no where it just hangs off the side of the carb. Idk what it's for, but when youv got your foot on full throttle, pinch the end of that hose. Block it. For some reason it lets the buggy go full noise. Idk if this is some kind of restrictor/governor. But at normal top speed it starts like, putting n popping if that makes sense or hitting a limiter. When you squees the little hose, it doesn't do that but instead just keeps going faster I had to let off gas caus ei thought I was gonna blow the motor. I got it upto 79kmph by JUST blocking that tube alone...
Doing this while idle tho or only driving slow seems to make it almost want to cut out. I think it's some kind of governor that plays on the high RPMs only or something at so much fuel flow or something idk how or what it does. But yeah squeez it closed and she goes like fuck. You can block it str8 Away and giv full gas and itl do burnouts n shit. Mines a Twister 250 have no idea what motor is in it. What steering rack measurements are. Idk nothing about it. Wish I did caus ei need parts. All the boots, bushings, bearings, and steering rack including tie rod ends are screwed. Other than that good fckn buggy. Atleast when you block that hose ;)
@@damoncatlin734 Yes, all three of them still run, out of three bikes, I have replaced, one chain, one flat tire, and cleaned all three carburetors just this year. Any bike may need these simple repairs.

Starting fluid in the intake or carb, make sure there's gas, and hook a battery charger or some jumper cables to it...
check for spark first , don't leave loose leads ungrounded or you cold blow something up. if you got spark then find out if you got fuel......
um yeah we do have ignition proplems, u can it will run if u hold the ignition on, its fixed now with new igntion switch from the factory

@slipknotnorm deffently recomend, beside the switch, witch cost 5$ to replace, no other problems, even rolled it at high speed and still working A+

I had the same problem with mine. You need to replace your spark plug first and if that doesn't solve the problem replace your ignition coil

I ran mine until a head gasket started leaking. I was able to start it with only 30lbs if pressure before it quit
Some are good, some are bad. Overall I think they are fine for the price, but I had some major problems with my engine.
