I don't know why, but this video is fucking brilliant. There is no rhyme or reason to it, its just an amazingly executed concept start to finish. I love it so much.
There was a slight meaning to it. Both Star and Jerma basically agreed that they were tired of the game and "it's over" but couldn't not make a joke of the whole idea.
0:25 to this day i still say the phrase "It's over" in that exact tone and dialect like in this old clip.

After 5 years, I'm starting to understand *what really happened* in this video.
Video basically talks about the ventures with STAR_ and Jerma throughout their channels, but specifically on STAR_. He was stuck at this moment. He had done everything, from his showcase of skills with late night live commentaries, coming up with wacky (and mostly stupid) antics with Jerma as the funny man and his Jerma is mad series, playing custom game modes, or even releasing videos as soon as new updates come in. Sure, we had fun with all the content STAR_ has put out which are mostly TF2 ones, but TF2's update are getting scarcer each year... and so is STAR_'s enthusiasm to keep on going. He didn't want to keep putting out content on something that doesn't interest him, but he's viewers demanded more TF2 videos and more antics with Jerma because they love it. They- no, WE love STAR_'s content, but did we really love STAR_ himself?
He tried to venture out, trying different things, knowing what works and what doesn't. Trying out different games, with Jerma plus more friends on board, and even his BASICALLY series. This is it, he found it, something he could work on and be happy with. But then, views on his videos are plummeting if they're not related to TF2, and his videos which diverted from his normal content suffered criticisms like "Where is TF2?", "This is not even TF2", or "What happened to Jerma? Is he dead to you?", and although baseless as it seems, this can still break a man's heart especially when he thought he knew what his viewers wanted. He can't help but compare he's accomplishment from the past, he was having fun with the content he releases now, but is he making enough from what he makes before when he makes TF2 videos? And thus the reason why he keeps coming back to play another round of TF2, another same old routine, same old maps, weapons, mechanics.
The video represents STAR_'s struggle to escape from the loop that he himself created, *he* wanted it all *to be over* .
Or you know, this video is just a stupid joke from STAR_ and Jerma and I might need to get some sleep.

It started innocuously enough.
Just two friends innocently challenging each other to a duel, blissfully unaware of the consequences it entailed.
Two words were uttered, and one lost the duel.
And it would've ended there.
But one of them was indignant. *He* should have won. He was superior, and he knew it.
A little tinkering here, a little finagling there, and he'd done it. The clock rewound, and the duel played out again. The man laughed as reality bent at his fingers, his friend's voice garbled and distorted as it sung praises to him. A harmless little stunt, nothing more, he decided.
But then it started to unwind.
Suddenly the two were in the middle of a melee brawl, and as he charged forwards to meet the other, he vanished, not a trace to be found. Again it happened, space and time distorting around him as it began to melt at the seams from the man's actions. They found themselves in the middle of a magic show, stretching on for eternity, no end to the madness in sight. Horrified at the destruction he had wrought, he willed time backwards, back to a new reality.
But the madness followed him.
He turned and saw his friend as the Spy, his face horribly transfigured into a visceral hybrid of seal and man. Overcome with terror and concern for his friend, his finger tensed on the trigger, till there was nothing but giblets left smeared on the spawn floor. And yet in seconds he was back, uttering those two words again and again, the only thing constant in this torrent of inanity. A tank clad in blue iron spawned above his friend from a rip in space-time, crushing the life out of him in an instant, and the man could do nothing but laugh as he watched in horror.
Again he warped reality, and again it followed him.
There he found his friend, his mind addled from the shifts, taunting against a door that he would not spawn out of. Forced to gun him down, the man could only listen and force out a strangled laugh as his friend shouted those same two words, over and over, as the tumultuous chaos grew.
Again he warped time, and again it followed him.
He purged his friend from existence in a vain attempt to spare him from the blood on his hands. The train halted, the tracks disappearing from the observable universe as the Nothingness grew, consuming the living world and metastasizing like a tumor.
The madness had progressed far too much for the man to quell. He watched in silent mortification as a depraved man fired a round into an innocent woman, only to have her revert to a sitting stance upon the bullet impacting her skull. A world of insanity and chaos, brought about by one man's stubbornness.
"STAR_? Hello?"
The man jolted awake in his chair at the sound of his friend's voice. What an odd dream. He yawned as his fingers set themselves on the keyboard. A sniper duel, eh? What harm could come out of that?
TL;DR: STAR_ warps reality to win the duel but that causes reality to collapse and a bunch of random shit to happen. Also time loops because yay.

***** Not sure if it's just me, but the volume on the hitsound is WAY too quiet. Even when I max the volume via console (and it already was maxed), it's drowned out by the sounds my weapons make, or the injury cries.

I'm a newer Jerma viewer/TF2 player but for some reason these older videos make me feel nostalgic.
I miss this, I never could say I had a childhood, but when I rewatch these videos, it shoots me back to better times. I hope you’re good star, people haven’t forgotten you or Jerma
they were great videos and it was always exciting seeing what hilariously crazy video they'd publish next. I really enjoy their streams and what they're doing nowadays but this was certainly a golden era of Sterma, YT and our younger years.

This is probably my all time favourite Sterma video.
That space ship intro was probably one of the best pieces of cinematography I've ever seen in my whole life. I would pay good money to have that remastered in HD, 3D, double widescreen, Blu-ray, IMAX, silent picture show-esq, and translated into at least 37 different languages including Catalan and Aramaic.
