Never new they made the 300 but did go thousands later. Had a 66 same truck J200, worked that truck from 79 to 87 till I cut it up and scrapped it, the rust took over, was a good truck. Of all things 7' box and had a PTO on the rear, it had like 40 grease fittings on it, the 230 OHC aluminum head was introduced on the WII ambulance truck, I never had a problem with the head warping, did put a 1 barrel holly on it along with allot of front end parts and a brand new Western 7 1/2ft hydro turn plow, did a ton of work with that truck, it was red. Still have the old key that you can barley see Jeep. lol
Pretty solid old Jeep. I think the 300 six will serve the owner well as the original engine was probably the overhead cam 230 cubic inch Tornado six which was not a great engine. I have my Dad's 1966 Jeep J - 2000 232 AMC six with three speed manual transmission and seven foot pickup body which I still use for snow plowing. These old Jeeps were great low speed work trucks due to their low gearing. Thanks for the video.
Love your build content! I have been watching since you began the Yard Art Model A. In addition to what you’re working on in your videos, I always get a kick out of seeing your other project cars in the background at various stages of completion. There’s some cool stuff in Rotter’s Garage!
I'd forgotten that Jeep did the column shift... about everything I worked on was floor shift, and most of the pickups were 4 speed anyway. That's probably a regional thing, I suppose. The Ford 300 wouldn't have been my first choice, but it seems to work okay. I wonder how many carb chokes I've seen hooked to manifold vacuum.... it's a bunch, and sometimes it's hard to fix without a bit of thought. Good video; thanks!
Yeah, I got them working off camera. I actually didn't even use an electronic flasher either, there was enough load with the front 1157 turn signal elements to make enough load to flash properly. Good call though 👍
Great content! Pleasure to watch. First video, so im off to check out some more👍 also, what clutch master did you use? Mines leaking and im struggling to find a replacement 😪
Gotta keep that blue imo. The tremors blue is just mwah 🤌🏻
I have a 1969 J-3000 I freaking love mine. It's in a bout the same shape as that one. Runs and drives well but in need of some body work.

Nice work. Always good to see the crap get cut out and sorted properly.
On the road to 20k man you deserve it. Imagine if you could put all your time and energy into this. Maybe some day. Keep working hard 🫡

THIS IS GOD'S WORK ! RESTORIN' THAT TREMORS TRUCK !
If those rear lights are led you need a led flasher those leds don't draw enough amps for regular flasher to work
