I liked Venom a lot as a villain but absolutely loved him as an anti-hero. Hands down one of my favorite comic books characters of all time.
This video was definitely worth the wait. Such an amazing story.
Fingers crossed for a Lethal Protector videogame(Or any Venom game) in the future!
In a perfect world we'd get Rocksteady to make an Ultimate Spider-man esque game with current gen specs where the focus is put mostly on Eddie doing his thing as the anti-hero he is but we'd also get a bit of gameplay as Pete being the more straight-laced hero. IRL we'll probably get a mobile tie-in game...
Legendary Cosmic Subscriber
It's a sad but true reality we live in. Hopefully with Venom's current popularity and Disney giving Marvel rights to different developers, we'll eventually get a Venom game.
I actually believe it's highly likely that there will be a Venom DLC for the upcoming Spidey game.
Creative Equinox well Separation Anxiety for Snes and Genesis is actually based in Lethal Protectors
Commissar Procrastinatus well there a upcoming movie based on it
I don't know how old you are but back in the mid-90s we had a game will two games one was Spider-Man Maximum Carnage where you could take control of venom and the game after the first level I believe , we also had one called Venom separation anxiety .
I like this venom he’s smaller and isn’t like hulkish big😂
I paid my buddy $10 for the first issue back in '94. I never saw a return on that investment 😆! But, it was my favourite comic for years.
Bravo!!!....
Now this is a series!...
Well done and time to reexamine the series! 👍
I had this event/story back in the days..as a venom special
For the last time, Parker!
Venom: Our pronoun is They/Them!
2:35 I love this cute eyes !!! :-D
Peter Parker picks up his paycheck. No ones going to touch how nice that alliteration was?😂
But fr, this is a great Venom story
just recently stumble into this channel
Loving your content so far
Love the comic history episode
I have this coming book in mint condition. I hate that it never went up in price.
I like venom more as an anti hero
Yeah
When I first relished that there were venom comics I got sooo upset because I don’t think they sell then anymore, but this is basically the WHOLE THING!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I still have this in great condition too
I enjoyed this video quite a bit even if this story isn’t my favourite, it has some great scenes but overall the miniseries gets quite packed.
Quick question, how did the life foundation symbiotes survive?
Because Symbiotes=Money. Seriously, no explanation was ever given. They just...survived.
comic book logic
Probably cloned from their ashes.
Steven Urena They die in a later story
they didnt do much with them when they were brought back like at all except for scream cause she starts killing them all
I like Venom story timeline story
what part of leave me alone and I wont kill you does spiderman not understand?
BUT MUH RESPONSIBILITY
Mary Jane back in the day was all fan service lol
I use to own this set untill my fucking dad sold them without me knowing
thank you
Eddie dangerous
Venom crazy dangerous..... For the bad guys
I need the background song in the beginning
I have this whole run🤙
4:47 Venom: For the last time, Parker! Our pronoun is They/Them! Not because we’re non-binary, but because we’re literally two ni&&as!
Awesomeness
what's the music called in this video
I had them on segd
i remember when Sam but his clothes to a skeleton
Venom handles his villains better than Spiderman does. He is more rational. Spiderman didnt even hold Carnage responsible for his own actions for some reason.
Stores venom the die bock
Basically Venom is a nudist. O.o
What are your opinions of James Hudson Wolverine??
Beautiful, except for fruity butt rock in background....
D3Z3RT bodey hahaha
I had this issue back in 1993 when I was in the fourth grade… the Gold variant too!
Venom was easily one of my favorite comic book characters ever. I’m Bay Area born & raised so of course the fact that he moved to San Francisco was an extra bonus. I used to trace over the cover with thin paper + pencil to learn to draw him and carried the issue with me all over the school grounds so needless to say, it wasn’t exactly in great condition after awhile.
Still, I was surprised to see it’s worth over $500 today!
Venom, pre Lethal Protector, seems to kill on a frighteningly casual basis....just flick a symbiote tendril over a guy's nose and mouth and let him suffocate and he often just pranced away with no consequences. This series have him doing just that but it is a bit nice to see one of his casual kills in the past caught up with him.
2:34 Venom making some moves
This is the first series where I collected every single issue. I was so proud of the collection cause it was so hard for a 9 year old to get a hold of these issues especially issue #1. I begged the shop owner to sell it to me cause he was only selling it as a complete collection instead of separately. When completed I actually hung the whole entire collection on my bedroom wall. I put tape on the back of the bag and board and sometimes it would fall off the wall and hit me while I was asleep So I made a makeshift tent on my bed just so it wouldn't hit me. I even made a Lethal Protector audio tape by recording myself on a cassette reading the book.yea. I tore two tiny pieces of tissue, put it in the empty holes on the cassette and pressed play and rec button at the same time lol wow! i'm seriously tearing up man..Venom Lethal Protector will always be in my heart....ALWAYS!!
(Thanks so much to you guys for watching this series for 90 episodes! More good stories to come)
I have a question. What makes venom change from a villain to a anti hero?
Already have one up! Here's the link - ua-cam.com/video/9p-0dq34nSU/v-deo.html
Please do Spirits Of Venom 👍
This series is what got me into comic books initially. I am still kicking myself for ever getting rid of them. 🤦♂️
Awesome episode, I love Venom.
how many symbiotes are left anyways
well toxin is gone
This is what the game “spiderman and venom: separation anxiety” for snes and sega genesis is based off of
Love this book!
There's one thing I never got when Spiderman fought Scream and the other symbiotes. He was able to move the fight in his favor because the symbiotes and their hosts were inexperienced in battle, but then why did he have so much trouble with Caranage? Venom I can understand. Brock may have been a body builder, but he had no real experience in actual combat (as far as I know). I just figure the symbiote copied all of Spiderman's fighting capabilities and gave them to Brock like it did with Spiderman's powers, but that doesn't explain Carnage. In comparison to his siblings he makes them all look utterly weak. What made Carange so different from the other children of Venom?
A few things that could help clear this up -
When symbiotes spawn naturally the spawned symbiote (not the host just the alien) is much stronger than the parent symbiote, ie. Carnage > Venom, Toxin > Carnage. We see this in Carnage's origin when he overpowers Spider-Man and Venom, and Toxin's origin when he wrecks Carnage alone while still very young and underdeveloped.
The Life Foundation symbiotes are a little different. They were artificially removed from Venom and aged up with machines, which affected their physiology and left each one of them alone weaker than Venom. This is talked about in later stories with the LF symbiotes in them, and is also why 4 of the 5 fuse together later to become one stronger symbiote named Hybrid (though they were later split apart again).
Carnage also tends to be crazy OP in a lot of stories because he's so popular. Sometimes when writers want to do a Carnage story they want it to be the most extreme/deadly/whatever, so they imbue him with more power than he normally would have (ie. Carnage USA for one) This is usually temporary and Carnage often returns to normal when the book ends (Planet of the Symbiotes, Carnage 2016, and a ton of others)
RNS Entertainment okay thanks that makes a lot of sense. Does that also explain why the hybrid symbiotes were more peaceful and inspired Scott to be a good guy?
The Hybrid symbiotes were definitely more subdued and scared due to their upbringing constantly being controlled and manipulated by first the Life Foundation and then the government, as they were essentially being tortured when Scott first sees them. Scott has somewhat questionable morality in his Hybrid story (he does try to do good once he is Hybrid, but in a selfish/violent way), but he does have empathy for the symbiotes treatment after he realizes that they are sentient beings.
RNS Entertainment subscribed!
Going off of what RNS said (which I completely agree with) I think it also has to do with the fact the Cletus Kasady was a complete psychopathic serial killer. Even though Spider-Man has experience it’s like Taskmaster trying to fight/copy Deadpool, he can’t because Deadpool is so insane that he’s unpredictable just like Carnage. When we first met him he said he was serving 11 consecutive life sentences for murder I doubt that each kill was easy so he most likely had some experience in a fight, plus it’s revealed that in Carnage: Mind Bomb, Kasady knows over 9 million ways to kill a person and enjoys thinking of new ways, well imagine how many ways he thought of after getting his symbiote. Experience does help
a lot in a fight but when you’re fighting someone so out of their mind that there’s no telling what can/will do it makes the fight a lot tougher. Just my 2 cents about it.
Honestly I think the movie is going to be good. They're saving the reveal of Venom and I love that, but at the same time they've confirmed already through their teasers that this is basically a straight out of the comics adaption. Venoms eyes and mouth look more like Venom than SM3 or even a ton of the crappy comic artists that draw him bad. Plus we see the symbiote captured by Life.
Tom Hardy is Eddie Brock. 'Dis gonna be good :)
A Google User what do you mean when the symbiote was captured by life
How is it going to be good? Lethal protector isn't a origin story of venom because SM with the suit IS VENOMS ORIGIN. TOm Hardy is not eddie brock he's...... Tom Hardy. How the fuck can you say that the teaser is straight out from the comics? Its people like you that worry me. This movie will destroy venom and everything he stands for. How are you going to get the iconic symbol, the wall crawling, the web shooting without the relationship of SM? What makes you think Its going to be a successful adaptation.....
'adaption'
but the movie is trying to divorce venom from Spider-Man. venom could be hos own character but only after his initial run with Spider-Man, venoms powers stem from his brief interaction with Spider-Man hence the symbiote would have given hos hosts other set of powers
Don't get your hopes too high. It's Sony.
Can’t wait for Maximum Carnage
Man I remember reading this, when I was really young, Venom was one of my favorite marvel characters because of this comic.
So the movie is trying to follow this storyline? Yea good luck the comic sounds so.good
nick knickle yeah it's based on lethal protecter
I just finished collecting this mini comic series that i had started when I was 12. Venom and his clash of ethical values with Spider Man is by far my favorite story telling. I believe you did a great job telling the story of his rise to anti-hero. Thank you!
The venom trailer just played before this video
Vemo spider m vs paghe rto lesser agoy simi
God your videos are absolutely addictive
i think venom brushes his teeth
The second you said Venom was your favorite Marvel character “We” immediately subscribed. Don’t disappoint “Us” hehehe
I really wish Marvel utilized this stuff, aside from the two movies.
Back when venom was good
does lethal protector take place after maximum carnage canonically?
Sepulveda Productions before I believe.
We’re your lethal protector venom
Funny how venom was a dark blue
I always wanted to feel venoms teeth
I've been waiting for this to drop since you brought it up a couple weeks ago. I love Venom but the teaser confirmed that there's no way the movie is going to be any good outside of Tom Hardy's action set pieces from a purely visual stance.
wow i didnt know so many people were dedicated to comics...
i want lego to make more super hero comic lego sets
Watching this video is just as exciting as reading the actual six part Venom Lethal Protector comic book issue series itself and they both so totally rock 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😉👌🏾😉👌🏾😉👌🏾😉👌🏾😉👌🏾😉👌🏾😉👌🏾😉👌🏾😉👌🏾😉👌🏾👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽.
I don't see how this is Rated R material. Why does Sony think that? THere is nothing really that hardcore of this comic from what i'm looking at
Maybe it's gonna be like Deadpool. Just free to say and do what he wants.
they're adding elements of horror and disturbing imagery to make it look like Eddie Brock is becoming posessed, making his body twitch like he's having a seizure, and the way Venom kills people can be very brutal
Ken Lopez Quite right. Venom could easily be a PG13 film. 9 times out of 10 Venom kills his opponents by smothering them with the symbiote. Venom really isn’t as bloodthirsty as a lot of his fans would like to believe. The movie seems to be based on that “The symbiote eats people” retcon that was among the many stupid ideas that nearly ruined the character.
bigevil1001 ultimate series >>>
So biting off heads isn't worthy of an R rating?
The Venom movie is supposed to be based on this comic series.
Branden Rangel it is
Sort of. It's a blend of his origin story and this comic book series.
How much yall think the original comic book cost?
This was amazing and interesting
Sweet vid.
loved the video man, keep it up!! :D
I got this comic.
Do venom the madness!
Could you do a video on venom:funereal pyre and venom:the madness p.s. i love your videos
I loved The Madness I thought it was so damn cool how you can actually feel the symbiote on the cover of issue #1
Oh yeah, the movie has no chance.
comic castle the movie hasn't came out and you still complain wow are you dumb seriously
Wow that's a stupid thing to say. Movie has pretty high chances, especially after the third trailer. It's Saturday, so yeah it could be bad, but it could also end up being amazing.
Mary Jane was thick af
Insomniac saw this and was like:Yeah we will make her a solid 3 out of 10 and Black Cat 10/10
God I hate Eddie Spaghetti !!
I love his mullet looks like Kos from mgs
