Fun Fact: The rework of Spider-Man having a living costume came from John Byrne, but that was originally going to be a storyline for Iron Fist. Byrne wanted Danny to have a living and self-healing alien suit, because of how often the costume would get destroyed, and he didn’t envision Danny as the type to sew or patch up his costume every time it was shredded. That was scrapped and then picked back up for Secret Wars, but given to Spidey instead.

But I suppose that's a consequence of wanting to do a solo film for a villainous character that's not even really established in this universe yet. Wouldn't make a whole lotta sense to watch a Venom movie of him just tearing through the city unopposed. Or if he was opposed, it wouldn't really hit the right notes if he was bound to lose in the end to a hero or something. They should have waited, established him first, let him be a villain, good old Venom, for a while. Then let him be the antihero he his now in his solo movies.
@@m0urn1ng5tar5 Yeah or what they could have done is they could have made the first Venom film similar to how Marvel introduced Spider-Man to the MCU. They could have had Brock in the first film already Venom and they could vaguely allude to how he became Venom and then have MCU Spider-Man's second trilogy tell the origin story of how Venom becomes Venom in Spider-Man 5 and 6 (5 being black suited Spider-Man and 6 being Spider-Man v Venom to end the trilogy) which then leads into the first Venom film.
TBH at this point I would really like them to make the Venomverse where Venom is the Spider-Man equivalent of his universe and he takes on bad guys like Mysterio and the Geen Goblin and Doc Ock etc. I think that's much more interesting conceot than this Venom being forced to be Spider-Man's enemy.
Have 2 venoms them,One Called "The Klyntar",That being the Experimental one created by the Life foundation on a attempt to make Superior Human symbiote hybrids,And Hardy Venom
It hurts my souls he didn’t mention spectacular Spider-Man which was what I grew up with
Spectacular Spider-Man
My fisrt impression of venom was from spider-man ps1, he was both terrifying to face and funny.
Honestly the battle with Peter and shocker in the 90’s cartoon lives forever in my head
Ultimate Venom is my favorite, and the most horrifying
I like Venom in Spider-Man 3
Awe man I can’t believe you skipped Spectacular Spider-Man’s Venom origin.
To be fair the broad strokes of the origin is the same as the 90’s show, with it coming to earth on a spaceship etc…
@@spider-jonah-man7148 yeah I understand why but it literally perfected the base story. It literally took what worked best in the ultimate universe and what worked best in the 616 of the character of Eddie Brock. I get why but still sad. Show that show love any chance you can
@@fracture6999 I agree
Do the many origins of carnage
The cartoon origin, and the Ultimate origins are the ones I like. Man Venom really has become one of my favorites over the years. It really sucks that his two movies are painfully mediocre.
GUYS!!! HE FORGOT THE BEST ONE - SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN
Just after I finished watching your other spider-man videos this pops up, very nice.
Man I love these Spidey related content videos❗️👏🏼
My favorite is definitely the ultimate comics venom in the comics It gets into insane detail of Eddie basic getting eaten in the venom symbiote
I actually have the Ultimate Spider-Man video game for the Nintendo GameCube version. Venom from the Ultimate Universe is my personal favorite of all time.
I think that the venom movies are good (no spoils the second one haven't seen it yet) but they are limited. Venom is a very unique character but the thing is, without Spider-Man it's harder to use venom in a movie.
Ngl I love the Ultimate Spider-Man and Spectacular Spider-Man versions. Eddie being friends with Peter works so much better than a competitor.
I agree I hope Spider-Man 2 ps5 takes cues from thos, although I also hope the Symbiote is an alien and not some lab monster.
@@spider-jonah-man7148 he's a lab monster
Fun Fact: The rework of Spider-Man having a living costume came from John Byrne, but that was originally going to be a storyline for Iron Fist. Byrne wanted Danny to have a living and self-healing alien suit, because of how often the costume would get destroyed, and he didn’t envision Danny as the type to sew or patch up his costume every time it was shredded. That was scrapped and then picked back up for Secret Wars, but given to Spidey instead.
When I first saw Spider-Man 3, I basically felt like I was watching a remake of the animated series at points.
Though Eddie Brock was irredeemablely evil in that show unlike the Animated series version.
Missed out on Disney xd ultimate Spider-Man where doc ock created venom using a sample of Spider-Man’s dna and ended up bonding to Harry Osborn
You forgot ultimate Spider-Man where Harry was venom then passed on to flash and becomes agent venom which agent venom was on Spider-Man 2
What was that song in the intro? I was digging it
ultimate spider man, where harry osborn became venom
Many Venom fans dislike that show.
@@robertkenny1201 and
Dude I looked up who avi is and saw all the movies he made THERE ALL AMAZING I don’t know why people are shitting on him for no reason
Venom is actually two separate beings: Eddie Brock and the alien symbiote that once masqueraded as Spider-Man’s costume
If only Marvel followed the comic origins. It would've given us way better versions of the Venom Arc in Spider-man 3 and almost every single animated series
Also with the 616 symbiote it would drain his energy and take him out while he was asleep
A ton of things about Spider-Man that people associate with the character and a ton of stuff from the Raimi movies comes from Spider-Man tas. It should get more credit for how influential it was
You missed The Ultimate Spider-Man Venom’s origin. It was really unique, in that show venom was created by Doc-Ock who distilled Peter’s blood into pure aggression and it became it’s own organism
Not every one is very fond of the way Venom was portrayed in that show.
@@robertkenny1201 I am
@h00kblades51 Why? Venom was basically a mindless monster with no real plan whatsoever, possessing Harry Osborn against his own will, it's basically the same thing as Curt Conners as the Lizard, Spider-Mans friend turned into a uncontrollable monster. I prefer Venom as a intelligent villan with built up motivation to hate Spider-Man like he was in the comics and older cartoons.
@@robertkenny1201 bc I’m allowed to like what I like
@h00kblades51 Suit yourself, but your in the minority of people who like it.
The tv show has a similar Peter and Eddie relationship where they are friends
You forgot spectacular Spider-Man
Venom is getting alot a love recently
The Ultimate take on the symbiotes is so not for me. I can’t stand it.
Venom should’ve had the massive Spider-Man logo on his chest in the 2018 film.
Would’ve been super goofy and dope.
I personally never cared for Venom. He just didn't do it for me compared to Doc Ock, Mysterio and Scorpion.
Doc ock is a better evil peter/spiderman then venom ever was
Great video! I’m going to watch this with my friend!
I can’t not think of the little fangs of ASM Venom’s eyes being his pupils.
I think the Spectacular Spider-Man version of Venom is the best
