Nothing like a conversation with a great hat shaper. I could watch this all day honestly.
You saying a fair price for the resistol is $60 is laughable. Straw quality dictates hat cost. To make it $150 with the high-quality straw that Resistol uses means other areas have to be cheapened to meet the price. The american is a great hat, but its straw is lower quality than the resistol.
What a cool dude. That guy is a living example of the American Dream. Enjoyed the video and learned a lot.
Way back in 1975 there was a Western store called Triggers in my city- and i bought a hat from that store- it was 3x felt with a 5" brim and a 6.5" crown, it was jet black with a red silk liner and real leather sweat band- the hat was made by The American Hat Compamy- i paid about $75 for that hat and wore it until 2009- i gave that hat to a 19 year old young man that promised he would wear it and take good care of it- so far hes kept his promise
I’m glad this popped up in my feed because I never would have heard of this store. Seems like a really nice guy. I’ve been a huge hat guy since I was a kid. I don’t make it to Ft.Worth very often but I will definitely make this a stop when I do.
Maybe they should get rid of that bud light sign.
I am sure Jobe is a beast but I ordered a straw online that came in crooked. Go in store or be happy w what you get because they won’t answer an email
This was really good. Your videos are getting a lot better. Also appreciate your more neutral stance on brands in this one. An opinion is good but I like the overall stance of quality in every brand.
