Man, I've done the same with the mags growing up. Growing up i've mentally built so many bmx bikes, engines, cars, motorcycles and atvs. My brain still functions like that even at 40. Just still face that whole budget thing slowing me down.
Beautiful 5.0, my friend.
Hahahahaha yup - funds are every dreamers kryptonite 😂👊
When this thing is finished, it’s gonna be a masterpiece
Thanks buddy!
Awesome work man! Can't wait to hear it run!
Thanks buddy! Me too!
I can't wait for the next installment in you saga. I'm amazed at all of the fab work and mad scientist hardware coating that you are putting into this project. It is going to be amazing! It was so much easier when I installed my KB back in '06. Install the kit (that came with the smaller inlet manifold so the BBK FPR fit with no issues and no bypass/blowoff pipe) 30# injectors, C&L (off the shelf) TB inlet tube, larger TB and MAF and a custom dyno tune and I was done. I'm thinking of eliminating my AC and smog pump and installing a shorter belt since I'm in the northeast US and my 1990 AC doesn't work anyway.
Thanks buddy! It's definitely been a labour of love
Congratulations! It’s been a journey but worth the wait!
LOL so true my friend! Thank you
That things slick! But i hear Héctor is gonna be running a spoon engine with a t66 turbo, nitrous and a motech exhaust system
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That is one hell of a jigsaw puzzle to get that blower on Brother! You're making some great progress!
LOL so true! Thanks bud
So happy for you brother. Glad it's all coming together finally.
Thank you sir!
kb blower looks so sick, really clean install
Thank you!
Looking good! CANADIAN SUPERMAN APPROVES
Thank you sir!
So glad for you, the light at the end of the tunnel is getting super bright and big. Give yourself a engineering
degree for this KB supercharger, Vintage air conditioning, brackets, wiring, and everything during this (quick)
blower install.
Hahahahaha - thanks buddy!
Can't wait to see the smile on your face when that thing gets back on the road and you hear that blower go Weeeeeeeee
Thanks buddy! Me too!!!
Mr. Kasl I should have mentioned this awhile back when i saw another video of yours, and knew i should have pointed out fornyou to use a pressure regulator from a Lincoln Mark VII. They are short and fat with the correct length stubby. I had it on mine naturally. Wish i could have saved you some time a couple of weeks ago, before you got here.
Oh really? I did not know that. I'm heading over to google to have a look right now!
That's one gorgeous notch fox, I always found the notches look then the hatches.
Thank you
Love your attention to detail, kinda surprise that you dont have subframe connectors on the car thou.... basic mod even nicer with the adder power.
Some people don't do them. DECH never did. As long as he doesn't throw slicks on and launch it, it shouldn't be a big deal. I however prefer to have them.
Thank you. Yeah I'm 50 50 on them on this car. I 100% agree on a vert but for how I enjoy this car, I personally don't really see the need
Very nice work buddy hats off 👏
Thank you my friend!
I'm one of many who have never seen of heard of this supercharger, I thought I had seen it all for the 5.0 cars.
👍
You must not have been around 90s and 2000s then I imagine you're too young to have remembered
Awesome work bro, looks killer
Thanks sir!
Now That Is "Sexy Fast!' My dream 5.0 Fox body Mustang! 😮😂😂❤
Thanks buddy!
That is cool! Don't ever see those anymore!
Thank you!
Tim the tool man Taylor approves.
That thing will be so fast
I sure hope so 😂
Yes!
So close! Looking great 👊👊
Thanks dude!
Great work!! This thing is going to rip!!
Thanks buddy! I sure hope so 🥵
You should consider moving your battery to your trunk
I like them upfront personally
dude I know this was 4 weeks ago now but there's this really cool build I wanted you to see. On my channel, if you go to the playlist *Crazy v6's (mustangs)* there's a lime green newedge on the 10th video of that playlist from a small channel called "Mustang Man". he actually Inverted an eaton M90, like its upside down with the forced air going through an intercooler before going into the intake, its the coolest shit I've ever seen. Noone really does Roots-style superchargers anymore so I just wanted to share a fellow enthusiast of the Roots-style.
What!? No way? I’ll definitely check that out. Thanks!!!
@@KASLCustoms you gotta go through the video a bit but yeah its one of the top interesting builds I've seen.
Great update. Looking good. I did the black oxide treatment to my hardware back in 2019. Looks great, but condensation and time require me to wipe them down with penetrating oil now and then to keep the beginnings of rust at bay. How have yours held up?
Thank you! Oh interesting. I have used it on nuts/bolts in many other places as well i.e. bell housing bolts etc and not noticed much of anything. That said, this car really only sees sunny days as well though
Ur gonna have a 7.1litre stock fox. Fuckin love it😂 Can't wait!
LOL, technically I guess you're right 😆
Don't really work like that necessarily. It's pretty inefficient. You can't really just add engine and blower displacement it's not that straight forward
You started from the bottom, now ya here!
It looks fucking awesome. That thing is going to rippppp!!!!!
Thanks buddy!
Looking good bud
Thanks pal!
I think the air intake pipe would look good body color especially if you had magasquirt speed air density and it was all one piece
I'm more of a black and metal color in the engine bay kind of guy personally but I appreciate the advice! 🙏
May have been easier to relocate the compressor, that Infamous mentioned
I spoke about this on the pod, it definitely would have made for more work
Man. Could you please just get it in already. Your killing us. Are you ok?
Don't you start too! 😂
Now we talkin
Hey brother I have a question concerning your fuel pressure regulator and I’m sure you have probably thought of this a thousand times already but I need to ask just to be sure. You said that the bottom of your blower is literally sitting on top of your rubber 90* elbow. So, is this creating a situation where that rubber 90 will have a hole rubbed into it or be compressed in some way causing a restriction? Second question, is it possible to mount your fuel pressure regulator somewhere else close to where it is now? Anyway, you have done an incredible amount of hard work with this and it looks great. I hope it works just the way you have planned. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Vibration shouldn't be an issue, everything is bolted down and rigid so nothing can really rub. There is no way to relocate an fpr on a stock fuel rail. I would assume most aftermarket fuel rails wouldn't work on this setup either as they are a lot bigger in diameter than the factory fuel rail.
Hey buddy! Great minds think alike - LOL. I did think of the restriction however I "redneck engineered" a test with the rubber 90 on the regulator on the bench with a clamp and a vacuum pump and all seemed to work as intended 😂. As for the rubbing - If I was building a driver that was going to see 10's of thousands of miles each and every year, I would probably rethink this whole operation. That said, I have a feeling I will most likely rethink the whole fuel rail/regulator situation at some point down the road regardless because I personally think it is a little hoaky. All of that said, the hobby fund is starting to run dry on this project and my beard aint getting any browner on this iteration so for now, we're gonna live with it 😉😂
could you add a phenolic spacer to bring the blower up a bit for clearance?
You could but then you run into hood clearance issues
What’s up with the yellow 4 eye in the background 🤔🤔
Check out my channel. I have content on it telling the whole story
I would paint intake tubes same as valve covers. Looks like OEM Ford. Let us know what paint you used on valve covers. Thanks.
The paint I use is made by Goodson and its "cast' color
thought what about the blue, like the super charger snout because right now that's really the only blue on the motor really but it would be equal on the eyes it wouldn't be all one color and 1 part being blue
What is the brand of your four post lift?
Torin
Just tuning in PLEASES what is that color?????
It original Ford paint code PA
@@KASLCustoms Absolutely love that color.. Think of painting my 66 with that.
Do u remember gettin blown in the 90's? I do😂
Barley 🤣
Well at least the car is all 1 color
Those pistons look skinny light...
What size injectors are you using?
42#
why are the kennel bell words upside-down ?
Before the big 1999-2004 Lightning and 03-04 Termis, the older Kenee Bells for rhe pushrod setups did not have wording on them for the 1.5, 1.7, and 2.2. Getting closer to the mod motor era, KB began putting KenneBell on them, but the blower went from being a discharge up and over to being a downward discharge through the intercooler/manifold. When the 2.1 was released they didn't reorientate the script to read correctly. Just used the snout caps as is and sold them anyway.
Color code?
The hit you go thru for a little more power . That's why i don't bother with it. for street use isn't worth all the hassle . If I was building a race car , yes i would but i'm not, So my 5.0 will stay as is. Maybe take out that big X cam and go back to stock for better driveability and gas mileage. it's got plenty of power. Enjoy your supercharger.
I enjoy my KB on the street.
Kenne Bell's are great street blowers. Good manners. With little to no maintenance. Had a 1.5L Kenne Bell that had well over 10k miles on her before I went to a 2.2L unit.
Start it up for fuck sakes already😂
He's gonna gain a hundred horse? I wouldn't call that subtle!
Agreed, power is always fun.i jave many simple bolt ons, a b cam.its a fun car.really rippy in the bottom and midrange acceleration very drivable.although i would go through all the work, its cool to see others doing it without completely raping the car, stripping it down for the race track.
Wow what a pain. If I went supercharger, stick with the easier install typical Vortech.
Take the Vintage Air setup and brackets out of the equation, and the KB setup gets way easier. Use an AFM Power pipe and he doesn't have to do any cutting. So many things could have been done differently to lessen his install time. Still good to see people installing Kenne Bell's.
The vortech is a completely different power curve
You don't seem to understand the different kinds of blowers and how different they are.
This is why the LS swap is so prevalent……The Fox engine is so Fugly.
No the ls swap is prevalent because everyone are brainless followers with their copy and paste builds. An ls should never be in a ford put that shit in a 3rd gen camaro or some other gm product.
There is 100 ways to modify a fox with Ford power to go fast and have a beautiful engine if that matters to you. Multiple Ford power plant options old and new.
@@midnight347 Facts are facts, the facts are if you want to go fast reliably and not break the bank the LS is your best option, Sorry man it is what it is. I own 5 Fords 61 Restomod Thunderbird with a 482 CI FE, A 1960 Ford Starliner with a 448 CI Ford FE, and a 1966 Tube Chassis Mustang with a 545 CI 385 series a 32 Ford Roadster with a 427 CI SBC.......an 88 ASC Mclaren Mustang,
If I was to build a Foxbody for the track it would be with an LS, If I was to build a street strip Foxbody it would be with a 460Ci 351 Windsor based motor......Knowing dam well and good that the Race car although pushed much harder than the Street/Strip car would not only be faster but more reliable.
Its just facts.
