  • Action on the NS Cleveland Line and CSX New Castle Subdivision in Portage and Trumbull County, Ohio. Featuring the Interstate leading CN and IC power, a CSX heritage sticker engine and a Spirit loco as well. Enjoy!
0:02 - A short NS M4A rounds the bend at Rootstown, OH.
1:54 - Frac sand train 61E heading west at Rootstown with quite the colorful consist. NS 8105, the Interstate heritage unit, leads CN 8933 (SD70M-2), IC 1025 (SD70) and CN 8892 (SD70M-2) on the train from Mingo Junction, OH bound for CN in Chicago.
3:56 - Photo of fast-moving 26W with a Dash-9 and new SD60E that I could not get a video of as he snuck up right after 61E cleared.
4:02 - Moving over to the CSX New Castle Sub, we are set up at the Miller Graber Rd. crossing just east of Newton Falls, OH. A westbound is lined up thru Scotty Interlocking.
5:01 - CSX stack train Q016-01 (Chicago - Chambersburg, PA) makes its appearance at Scotty with a CSX Tier 4 leading a repainted AC4400 in the Boxcar scheme. Engineer Chris Ratini is at the helm today handling the train to New Castle, PA.
9:13 - After Q016 has gone, westbound CSX Q375 (Cumberland, MD - Willard, OH) passes Miller Graber Rd. and heads into Newton Falls with CSX C40-8W 7765, one of two Chessie System heritage sticker engines, leading another unit of interest, CSX AC4400CW 500, the Spirit of Grafton. This is my first catch of one of CSX's heritage emblem locomotives, though they're not all that exciting.
    Thanks for watching.
