He can float over mines without activating them, has access to power blast and sniper shot from the get go, and has a droid scrambler which can make droids turn on their allies. And if you bring him to Iziz he can convince the Twi'lek mercenary to leave you alone. Furthermore, by doing services throughout the galaxy, he'll pay you.
Based on this and what I remember, I speculate a lot of the problem might be that G0-T0 scales kind of poorly as the game progresses. Dedicated ranged units are never really the best, especially late game. The utility you mention though would be useful in the early game. If I remember right, he's essentially a more aggressively minded T3...I think the problem with that, overall, is that usually for a party of three, you're better off going either aggro or utility. Iunno for sure though--it's been a while for me.
Droids are strictly inferior than non-droid companions in this game. They have half the feats other classes have, no force powers and no melee options. Gotos special ability sucks because it requires high wisdom to be efficient, goto starts with awful wisdom and building it up is stupid because his already poor damage output will be even worse. High level ranged companions (especially mira) are actually better than melee ones imo, unless you don't turn them into jedi until very late. the reason is that their obnoxious AI will start to use a million useless force powers that you're forced to buy upon leveling up. The amount of force powers each jedi class receives is ridiculous (1 per level at minimum). Anyway Party builds are entirely irrelevant if you chose to have a jedi character with high wisdom and force storm : every fight in the game lasts exactly 2 rounds. (for bosses use force kill).
It sort of sucks that you get him at the very end of Nar Shadda. One thing the previous game did better was that you got the majority of your party members early on, so you got more time with them. But why put in a character with a non-essential role when you could make a character with a role that fits in the story.
It's a sandbox game, you can explore side stories. Going against the grain instead of being boring and doing what's predictable. Like killing off a beloved character, who didn't see that coming. Spoilers on that new Force Awakens movie.
HK-47 doesn't do anything to further the plot but people still love him.
Query: What mod must I download to get the robes your PC is wearing?
@invertin: Oh, that part. I'd forgotten about that part since I haven't beaten the game in over 3 years. Anyway, I misunderstood the query. I was thinking what the user missed to be able to get this scene and that droid repair on Nar Shaddaa is is a common one.
Second only to Kreia, GO-TO is the best written character in this game.
With a keen eye for details, one truth prevails!
Excellent video ShemL. You always show me there is something I forgot to see in the game xD. Thank you.
Who woulda thunk that a little Interrogation Droid could be so ballsy.
Well, listen to the video dialogue. The droid was named G0-T0. The letters and numbers coding what type of droid it is like T3-M4, right?
Well, he decided to be independent and create the human hologram (so he would be taken seriously) he went with Goto to match his droid model name.
I never even cared about the little slimeball, but know that I know that Goto was a droid, I want to be his friend, maybe he isn't so bad.
Damn... That Dialog and this background intell was not known to me... Thanks for sharing ;J
89BlackGatomon Same. I've played this game probably 15 times and never knew Goto was really JUST a droid.
I was expecting it but never was sure...
5:08 When he says Pray...It sounds like Darth Vadar's qoute "Pray we do not meat again"
This was SOOO obvious!
I love his voice
he does the voice of cosmo off Fairly Odd Parents
yes, aparently hk-47 finds teh hk factory and uses those hk droids to kill go-to not sure if there is a cut scene tho
Hey Shem, you should have had this conversation inside the Ebon Hawk, because G0T0 displays his hologram which speaks about how he is an "aratech hologram that can have many appearances" and then G0T0 tells his hologram to "shut up/be quiet"
Meh, still, this is better than nothing :P 5/5
@ColdCypher: Watch the video again. And if you don't get it again, just watch the video... again. And if you still don't understand, just keep watching the video over and over again until you get it. Because the answer is in the video if you just pay attention to what the words spoken.
This reminds of Goodfellas when Elliot Ness is forced to break the laws he swore to uphold to catch Al Capone
you get him when you have destroyed his yacht
In Ebon Hawk he gives u holo and tells were he got
Chaotic good goto
I couldn't take him seriously because he looks too much like the interrogator droid Vader brings to Leia on the Death Star
The Star Wars equivalent of Muggy.
Or one can infer that Goto would have had his droid named after himself out of simplicity. It doesn't necessarily mean they're the same entity.
@ZachAttack8720: There's a droid you need to repair at the bar on Nar Shaddaa. I believe in the Pazaak area of it (it's been 3 years since I've done it so my memory of it has faded a bit).
@JediShemL Maybey not,I think the new game is supposed to be awhile from these events.Hopefully we will see a KOTOR 3.
I always knew Goto was the Droid.
Always hated that droid, and never bothered influencing it or even having it in my party.
@Appo47: The title is suppose to entice others to want to see it. :D
Goto is a droid? Wow did not see that coming.
Actually, Goto is actually G0-T0
@CamiInc: I would assume you also include HK-47 to your list since he's a droid. If that's the case, that's a shame.
was it so hard i mean you can find it out from his voice
Is there a way to make GOTO voice in audacity?
Oh god you are so clever to figure this out......
Yes, the idea is that "goto" named the droid after himself to transmit messages. >.>
@MastaDRD: It's the later of your two queries. You just didn't talk to Goto that much.
@HarryBillyBobGeorge: It's 90's.
I put two and two together and figured he was goto,
@Appo47 G0-T0 Goto I say this coming as soon as i got the droid.
Nice video =P you should post vids showing HK-47 being an a hole lol
@JediShemL I agree. The droids have the best stories to tell.
@JediShemL as you can see that worked 46,053 views is something to pat yourself on the back for
