  • We drive the enthusiast's mid-size sedan, the 2016 Honda Accord Sport with Sensing Technology. It packs more horsepower in addition to advanced safety tech that is surprisingly comprehensive.
This 2016 Honda Accord Sport has no extra options and instead has an interesting blend of luxurious and simplistic features. Under the hood the 2016 Honda Accord Sport has a 4-cylinder engine that provides 189-horsepower. You can choose a manual transmission with the Sport trim level, making it a unique and sportier ride.
The Sport also comes with dual exhaust tips, a low profile spoiler, and the option of San Marino red as an exterior color. The trunk boasts a great deal of space and the back row can be folded down to provide even more. A large display in the front offers audio settings, mileage information, and a back-up camera.
The 2016 Honda Accord Sport is home to advanced cruise control that has lane keep assist, making it a pleasure to drive both short and long distances. Test drive the 2016 Honda Accord Sport Sensing at your local AutoNation Honda dealership [www.autonation...].

I'm glad to see impressions of a new car that isn't fully loaded, as this particular Accord looks pretty attractive for the price, despite its bizarre combination of premium and basic features.
It's nice to see that Honda still offers the Accord with a manual gearbox, as I feel that the majority of people who buy Accords are less interested in a sporty driving experience, and more interested in comfortable basic transportation. I would be curious to see if the manual gearbox in the Accord makes for a sportier experience, or if it's only for the bargain shoppers.
Personally, if I were in the market for an economical yet sporty midsize sedan with a manual gearbox, I would lean more toward the Mazda6. But with that said, I would definitely give this Accord some consideration.

I have a 2017 Sport 6MT (manual trans); I can tell you that it really brings this car alive. My wife has a 2017 CR-V, it has the identical 2.4L that my Accord has but it's a CVT. They are very different. The 2.4L becomes a totally different animal with a 6MT.

@@YasssStitch Do you ever feel underpowered on the highway? I'm thinking about getting this but hesitant since I'm used to a 3.7 v6.

@@deezdonutz8291 I actually got rid of that car. It was quite basic and yes, underpowered, even with the manual. I got myself 2019 Accord Sport 2.0T 6MT; this car is a rocket and leaps and bounds better interior over the 2017.

@@YasssStitch Sweet! I want the 2019 but it's out my budget at the moment 😭 and now I'm even more sad that you said it's underpowered. Ugh lol. Oh wells, it will have to do. Congrats on your new ride. Cheers

@@deezdonutz8291 I strongly recommend you get the 6 speed manual if you go with the 2.4L Sport. The CVT is atrocious and is a total dog. The 6 speed will bring it to life. It's not a slouch but it's not a fast car, 0-60 is under 7 seconds which is decent for a car in that class. New Camry 2.5L is over 8 seconds. My advice is if you can't swing for the 2.0T, try to go for the 1.5T 6MT, it's got much more torque than the 2.4L and interior is excellent.

It's about time more reviewers review this car! Its amazing! Unfortunately apple car play and honda's infotainment has been very glitchy (in canada we get that included amongst other things)

Yep, both the new civic and newest accord have had infotainment issues. And if they're troublesome now, what are they gonna be like in 5-10 years? Maybe simple is better sometimes..

Yes, strange mix of standard options like dual climate control for the front passengers, yet the rear passengers don''t get the vents in the center arm rest. Don't think they make it, but would like the dark blue with manual for me and while I'm at it a sunroof too. Maybe the coupe is the way to go. BTW, in the US.

Glad the Canadian spec has a push start, apple carplay, android auto and a nice button outside the trunk to open it.

More stuff to break. I sold a 2015 TLX V6 SH-AWD Tech, blah blah for 2017 Sport 6MT. That TLX was phenomenal...WHEN it worked. All those electrical gimmicks were breaking all the time. I was in dealership twice a month. Guess how many times I've been to the dealer with the Honda? ZERO. They're both Honda family but all those "modern" electronics just mean more stuff to break. What happens when warranty runs out? For example: The TLX has 4 driving modes..it got stuck in one mode and I thought maybe it's software, turns out - needed new transmission! Boom, $7000 out of pocket if there was no warranty (luckily I did have it but warranties are not lifetime and the older the car gets, more things break). Never again - I'll stick to tried and true cars such as the Accord.

I'd probably spend a bit extra and get the EX w/sensing. Tons of features in that trim level vs Sport. I don't get the usefulness of the Sport Special Edition much. The metallic pedals and red accents are cool, but not worth the trim upgrade. The apple carplay/android auto on the EX plus the sensing gives you the two most important reasons you'd be buying a Honda, since Toyota doesn't provide those things cheaply or at all.
