If you love this car, just get one. I bought a brand new one in 2018, although it's a 2017 model. It sat on the lot for a year. I'm getting 40mpg on freeway if I drive slow.
1 year later, want mine? I want to trade mine in and get the newest one but I don't drive much so I'd be fine with a used one. My 2017 Honda Accord only has 75k miles on it.
Nah, I use to think the New Accord look better than the Camry. If you get a chance to drive the new camry for a while, youll learn to appreciate its classy yet sporty design. I was going to buy me a new accord because i thought it looked pretty sick but changed my mind to a Camry hybrid. But accords still do look pretty nice and has nicer paint, but lines arnt as clean as the camry. camry sales are much higher than accord btw
Never liked Hondas until this refresh in the Accord and Civic. They actually made these cars look sophisticated but at a good price for younger audience that is more of a mature individual.
Just Joshing 2011 was the civics year especially as a two door it really looked good the 2017 civic to me just looks stupid (especially with the tail lamps) it's like they want it to look like the first bat mobile or somethin.
In fact the only cars I've liked from 2017 was the Ford F-150 the Ford Explorer the fusion and the Honda Accord everything Elsa all the car companies screwed up. Like the f350 looked like they ran it into a brick wall and flattened the ends out before protection and the mustang looked like it started off flat and they tried adding curves to it then hondas ridgeline idk what they did to it to make it look so bad chevy there just so cheap all they did was stick led headlights in last years model I mean 2017 was NOT the year for cars lol (I'd buy me the f150 xlt with led headlights and Halogen taillights if they wasn't supporting the NFL, that's why I started looking at Hondas again) in fact if I had the money I'd get me the Ford F-150 xlt for hauling things in there special order blue jeans blue, there 2011 mustang in a special edition red called lava red which was only on 11 cars (the car in my profile pic) for a play around car and the Honda Accord for a every day driving car there good on gas and nice looking in fact I'd probably even get the accord coupe sport and divy it up as a high tech sports car
I own a 2016 Accord Touring model and I have to say it's the best car I've ever owned. The ride is comfortable and quiet, and while I don't get perfect gas mileage (I'm averaging 28 MPG with mixed driving), the v6 makes this a fun car to drive. I also really enjoy the CarPlay features in the head unit as well as the many driver assist extras included with the car. Now a couple of points about the Mazda 6. I ended up trading my 2015 Mazda 6 grand touring model for my new Honda. From the moment I purchased the Mazda, I hated it. I was never comfortable in the seats, the infotainment system was terrible, and the quality of the vehicle was just not there (I had paint flaking off after only one month of ownership). I did enjoy the drivability, great gas mileage (34 MPG) and handling of the 6, but everything else just sucked. Just my personal opinion, and I have friends who swear by Mazda. However, for me the Accord is hands down the better car.
+John Christensen (Tikishark) I had a 2015 Touring Mazda 6. Couldn't agree with you more. The Navigation unit is so slow. The only good thing about the 6 is when entering corners! On the road it's pretty bumpy not to my liking. Also the airflow (defrost) is not quite well designed IMO. 2016 Accord seems like a good choice though I have a problem with Honda's lane watch camera (only works on 1 side), prefer the blind spot monitoring like other cars (i.e Mazda).
+John Christensen (Tikishark) I see that Honda now has, "Forced Lighting". Unlike Toyota, you CANNOT shut the lights off even during the day! Regarding CarPlay, is the PASSENGER locked out from using the touchscreen while the vehicle is in motion? Or is unnecessary and dangerous maneuvering required to get the car stopped in order for the PASSENGER to use the touchscreen for navigation purposes?
Very well balanced exterior proportion. Still looks beautiful on the road in 2021 The 2.4 I4 has plenty of power. Even the CVT in this works flawlessly. The best family sedan around 30k for sure
I'll take the Accord over all those other cars listed in the video. None of those cars can touch the reliability, technology, and resale value of a Honda.
+Marlous Broughton Not sure what you're basing your post on as far as reliability, etc., but -- at least for myself -- it pays to not get too emotional when it comes to cars: KBB shows the Legacy as having the highest resale value among family sedans (for the last two years), and Consumer Report shows the Accord reliability being 38% above the average and the Camry being 52% above average.
+Marlous Broughton Fair enough... if what you say about the Accord is based on published reports and facts. That's why I went to the trouble of referencing my sources instead of just voicing my opinion.
Honda Accord is honestly such a nice luxury car. It doesn't feel like you own Honda it's the same feeling as owning a expensive BMW or Mercedes. Honda has been really stepping their game up 👏
+Santa Joe Well, there is no Acura brand in Japan, it's all Honda. The same goes for Nissan, where there's also no Infiniti brand there. These "luxury" brands were originally created for the U.S. Market.
"Luxury" marketing sells. Just like GM has various brands for the consumer to go up in class/status. Toyota started this trend with Lexus. Lexus is now it's own brand.
Yes, and Acuras are actually less reliable than Hondas due the newer tech. Consumer Reports 2015 reliability survey of owners ranked Honda #8 and Acura #18 out of 28 brands.
i have a 2016 accord sport(CDN version). 2 months into it the only complaints are poor audio quality during fm radio and a little wind noise when going faster than 110Kph. That's it. Very good build quality,,way to go my American friends. The Canadian accord sport with honda sensing is the best sedan in it's class. $29,800 before tax. Solid car
I thought it was just me with the noise during high speeds. I noticed the next day I got it (road trip); I thought I had a window open! I do agree with the audio as well. I had an Infiniti before this one, and the Bose system spoiled me. The audio in this 2016 Accord isn't as great, but I really don't mind since they make up for it with everything else. Overall very happy with this car.
Agree with both points. They are my two complaints with the car. I have a 17 Touring and there is a TON of wind noise. I was tempted to take it back to the dealership and have them do something about it, but I have a feeling there isn't much they could do. I commute on the highway so it's pretty annoying, but I've had the car a year now and it would be silly to take the car back now. And the audio is pretty bad, but oddly enough I've found it has gotten better with time. I don't know a ton about audio stuff, but I feel like maybe the subwoofer had a break in period. The audio is still really subpar for what you would expect out of a car like this, but I've gotten used to it. It's not bad enough where I want to rip everything out and replace it all.
Saw this driving down the freeway and thought this was a Mercedes-Benz With those taillights. Was pretty blown away on it's only a Honda. They for sure stepped up their game on this one.
I was concerned when I bought my Touring that I'd hate not having a volume knob. While I use the steering wheel buttons and it really isn't an issue most of the time, I do miss being able to quickly turn my volume up or down. The buttons are not as quick as a knob. But that's being super picky.
@@JessicaHauserman Not being picky at all, dumb as fuck vehicles phased them out, luckily Honda and other companies learned and the knobs are returning in full force just like in the 2018-2021 Honda Accord AND soon to be Civic!!!
I have a 2013 LX. I was never crazy about the styling. On thing, though, that you can definitely count on is the durability of this car, even if its looks aren't nice at all. Buy a car and hold onto it as long as you can. Recover your "investment."
I have the Accord and am very impressed by the overall excellence for this vehicle and the tremendous value. Two small nits: the hood tends to flutter at high speeds, the audio speakers are less than adequate at best. Disappointment in these Walmart type speakers. As a comparison my 2012 Accord had speakers that are audiophile sound speakers with large resonate magnets that are absent from the new Accords. I guess the new speakers were installed for cost savings.
Just bought a new LX this week. Love it. I don't care for the Sport model with big wheels. I would have gotten the EX-L except for the sunroof. Honda, make the sunroof an option on the higher trim levels. Please!
*My primary issue with the 2017 model, the rims, prefer a difference slightly conservative design, that's still says performance. They do look nice in motion.*
Boy oh boy did I ever want to get myself a new Honda Accord after having mine for 18 years!! BUT once I sat in it and all but had the seat raised up the whole way I still didn't have good visibility looking forward because the way the hood rises up!! yeah doesn't help only being 5ft 6 lol... so I ended up with an almost new Altima SL loaner 2015 car (fully loaded) at a really good price of 20,560 out the door with less that 6K miles.... the Altima was more friendly for me to see out the front, and the way the dash and arm rest is set up reminded me more of my old Accord than the new ones!!
i traded my 2013 exl for a 2016 exl and i enjoy driving this one way more. This refresh has everything i wish my 2013 had. I also looked at the mazda 6 buth i thought it felt a lil cheap. Didnt bother with the koreans they are too slow in my opinion. This car is classy and they improved the cvt. It revs to 3000 alot quicker than my 2013.
Drove the 2017 Accord with the 6Cyl and it's very nice to drive BUT pricey !! I also drove the 2017 Mazda 6 GT and am torn on which car I favour !! The Mazda is pretty sweet but it only has a 4 cyl motor available ! Accordingly, thee Mazda seems to handle better and gives the driver a real positive feel behind the wheel BUT the 6 cyl. in the Honda is really nice !! Like I said, you to have pay quite a bit more for that 6 cyl Honda and I'm having trouble justifying the extra 4-5,000.00 + Taxes for the V6 sensation !! Nice review !
i think the accord is one of the few cars that has aged to my liking. i love old Japanese cars and think most new cars are ugly now. but this is a nice one
I would definitely buy this, my friend gives me rides in his accord and it's so niceee, I mean it was nice before I spilled my smoothie all over his seat 😭😭😭
2016 accord or camry? I kind of prefer the accord ext/interior styling more, but I heard CVT has issues down the road, and i'm probably keeping the car for a while.
Damn now to pick between civic and accord, I love the youthfulness and great looks of civic but accord while looking great is upscale, high end and mature. ;-;
Same reason for buying an Audi or any other luxury brand... It's a status thing, "look at me I'm driving a luxury car let me announce to the world I'm successful" lol
+Jake Woodbury and this is me being bored to explain this to you. Usually if you can't tell the difference I. Class then there's really no need talking to you.
What should I get? 2017 Honda Accord touring ($35000) Or 2017 Kia Optima Ex tech (31000) Even at 4000$ less, ( here in Canada) the Kia Optima still offers features that the Accord still doesn't! But I question the optimas reliability and resale value
hi guys i need your help? which is better for me to buy? 2016 accord touring fully loaded with leather interior or honda hr-v fully loaded with leather interior or 2016 cherokee trailhawk 4x4 the orange one...fully loaded also with leather interior....they said the cherokee is good in fuel but is it true? my concern in buying a car or suv is for it to be spacious enough for a family of 5 and is good in long drive THANKS GUYS
+Godwin Salas I'd say get the accord touring or the honda hrv. It's very roomy on the back seats plus u get awesome reliability of either car. ;) But really, do a test drive, and it really depends on how tall your kids are.
I can't seem to adapt to these newer body styles with such an aggressive front end. Eeek! First the Mazda 6, and now this 2016 Accord. Other than that, I like what the Accord has to offer...
The Accord trails the Fusion in rear headroom? I have test driven both, and I continually whacked my head getting into and out of the Fusion. I drive an '07 Fusion, and having to get kids in and out of the rear seat have moved me away from the super swoopy new Fusion design to a choice between the Accord and the '16 Optima.
Hey Micah! Does the Honda Sensing offer stop start technology? Will the car come to a complete stop at lights or if the car in front stops and pick back up after and resume and follow? I think they have a winner offering the Sensing on every TRIM level is AWESOME ticket to seniors and to people who prefer not to pay attention. Thanks Micah!
Showing the Touring level isn't fair since it's not going to be the volume seller. I think Honda really messed up by not giving the Sport trim Android auto or Carplay considering it's volume and demographic. And why not make the LED headlights optional? They could've went way further with this car but sadly missed by a few steps. Whether it's intentional or not, we don't know. It's already biting into a large chunk of Acura sales.
please tell me the name of cars were used to compare in this video, not honda accord. I am looking for a new car. And what options you really want to include to your car(sensors, back camera, chrome borders,...)
Does anybody know where is the video taken (like a park in some city) in the last segment (part) of this review video? That last scene seem reminds me of those younger days as a teenager at the 'Hunting Park' in Philadelphia, PA, where it also has a standard running track, like that of many high schools.
I purchased a 2016 Honda Civic Ex. Had it for only two months and I'm trading it for a 2016 Accord. It is a more comfortable car for the long trips. Believe me, the Civic's short seats with no thigh support will make your butt hurt in a Civic.
My neighbors got one , it was a whopping 18k, she paid 6k down and the monthly payments are 250$ , honestly this is the first time a 4 door sedan gets my respect, beautiful design front and back , the chrome in the front is the only thing but not too bad considering the super ugly competition
I really think the 2017 acura interior looks much better. The external look of this accord does look better in comparison though. I am not an owner of either, I am researching.
Downside is AWD is not offered in ANY accord model. They are all FWD which isn't that great in places with snowy conditions. Ford Fusion offers AWD in many of its fusion trims.
Hi Sami! Which one is better really depends on what you want. The Sport has additional features such as 10-way-power-adjustable driver's seat, LED fog lights and daytime running lights, split-folding rear seat, and more. Here's a full review in case you'd like to learn more: www.kbb.com/honda/accord/2017/sport-se-expert_car_reviews/?additionaldata=page2
Sami Motaghedi this one is better it is the touring the highest trim. The sport has only the sport look on the exterior but does not have much features like heated seats , moon roof, adjustable power seats, keyless key, jewel light, v6 engine, leather seats, premium audio and so on
Accord!! I went shopping for a new car at both the Camry and honda dealership yesterday and the Camry was crap to be honest ... It looks cheaper both inside and out and I personally like the heavier accelerator pedal feel of the accord
Really? I personally like it .. Also should mention audio system is not that impressive in the accord if that's important to you .. Good luck finding the perfect car for you! :-)

Great Display and quality for me as a viewer!!!
I still think that this is the best looking Accord ever. The 2.4 liter, while not Turbo like the new Accords is still a nice quick 4 cylinder.
Just get v6
@@NATURALGAMING I got a great deal on mine and I like the extras on the Sport

The host looks like he’s ready to fight Spiderman!!!
probably the nicest honda right now...I'm waiting for the 2017 civic hatchback type r
i traded my 2013 exl for a 2016 exl and i enjoy driving this one way more. This refresh has everything i wish my 2013 had. I also looked at the mazda 6 buth i thought it felt a lil cheap. Didnt bother with the koreans they are too slow in my opinion. This car is classy and they improved the cvt. It revs to 3000 alot quicker than my 2013.
Delfino Mares So nice to hear that...
Lew Scagnetti Also the Accord may be expensive now but it has better resale value in the long run then the mazda
i think the accord is one of the few cars that has aged to my liking. i love old Japanese cars and think most new cars are ugly now. but this is a nice one
Micah has no chill
2:05 Maserati quattroporte 😂
I would definitely buy this, my friend gives me rides in his accord and it's so niceee, I mean it was nice before I spilled my smoothie all over his seat 😭😭😭
This is such a nice car for the price. Honda is killing it.
2016 accord or camry? I kind of prefer the accord ext/interior styling more, but I heard CVT has issues down the road, and i'm probably keeping the car for a while.
Damn now to pick between civic and accord, I love the youthfulness and great looks of civic but accord while looking great is upscale, high end and mature. ;-;
Great fun review!
J engine with timing belt?
hondas most fabulous car in its segment
If Honda has everything Acura have, what's the meaning of Acura?
Same reason for buying an Audi or any other luxury brand... It's a status thing, "look at me I'm driving a luxury car let me announce to the world I'm successful" lol
+Hau Freren Audi and Acura are not luxury cars. Audi is a upscale or a premium car. BMW and Benz are luxury.
+Jake Woodbury lol that's definitely not true. Audi is a premium brand too.
+Jake Woodbury and this is me being bored to explain this to you. Usually if you can't tell the difference I. Class then there's really no need talking to you.
+Jake Woodbury in*
I'm very interested in this car . Is this car reliable?any issues?
If only the LED came as standard.
Then there would be no reason to get an Acura.
+WuWei Xu This is basically an Acura without the sportyness of an Acura.
They new 2016's do come with LED standard.
Jenna Hopkins The 2016 Honda Accord features standard LED daytime running lights, not full LED headlights.
+WuWei Xu this is the top of the line Touring
dat LED headlights!
this new rim just awesome
What should I get?
2017 Honda Accord touring ($35000)
Or
2017 Kia Optima Ex tech (31000)
Even at 4000$ less, ( here in Canada) the Kia Optima still offers features that the Accord still doesn't! But I question the optimas reliability and resale value
So is Honda planning to do a complete re-design on the Accord in 2017-2018?
I need my physical buttons, ESPECIALLY the volume knob.
Good review. It wasn't until the end the that I noticed his shirt looks like the shirt Sandman wore from Spiderman 3.
it looks and feels so good
nice to see them stepping it up but idk about that digital dash thingy 😟
This is the car I want.. a 2017 V6 Accord with all the options.. a M/T would be nice but I'll be content with a 6 gear auto
hi guys i need your help? which is better for me to buy?
2:25 Honda makes a beautiful sounding V6
+Greg Swann thank you for this information Greg. I really appreciate it. How do you like your Accord? Which model?
+gene978 you talking about Stop start like shut of the engine while idling or with the radar cruise?
+Hing holo I was referring to the Radar cruise control offered in the Honda Sensing package.
gene978 oh ok
awesome video!
16 accord sedan or coupe? Which looks/drives bettah?
Showing the Touring level isn't fair since it's not going to be the volume seller. I think Honda really messed up by not giving the Sport trim Android auto or Carplay considering it's volume and demographic. And why not make the LED headlights optional? They could've went way further with this car but sadly missed by a few steps. Whether it's intentional or not, we don't know. It's already biting into a large chunk of Acura sales.
please tell me the name of cars were used to compare in this video, not honda accord. I am looking for a new car. And what options you really want to include to your car(sensors, back camera, chrome borders,...)
So to make it clear if you choose the manual transmission it is NOT a CVT correct?
Carlos Clayton CVT is like automatic transmission. Manual transmission is totally different...
Does anybody know where is the video taken (like a park in some city) in the last segment (part) of this review video?
That last scene seem reminds me of those younger days as a teenager at the 'Hunting Park' in Philadelphia, PA, where it also has a standard running track, like that of many high schools.
Ford Fusion vs Honda Accord? Which one is better?
I’m so sorry Honda replaced you with... the 2018 accord🤦🏽♂️
He reminds me of the sandman with that shirt😂😂😂
Okay, this is a really nice car!
Is the sandman from spider man 3 selling cars ?
Downside is AWD is not offered in ANY accord model. They are all FWD which isn't that great in places with snowy conditions. Ford Fusion offers AWD in many of its fusion trims.
I'm driving a 2010 Accord and I really like the new one 2016
Honda Accord it's the best
3:08 this is the best car ever made.
I have 2017 Accord Sport, but it doesn't have HondaSensing. Which trim is he driving?
Grace Lee the exl
I love it, but I will wait for the next generation!
What's the difference between this and the 2017 Honda Accord Sport? Is this one better?
The sport has only the sport look on the exterior but does not have much features like heated seats , moon roof, adjustable power seats, keyless key, jewel light, v6 engine, leather seats, premium audio and so on
Can't decide what should I get Accord or Camry...
get the accord, I have a 2014 v6 exl sedan and I love it!
Accord!! I went shopping for a new car at both the Camry and honda dealership yesterday and the Camry was crap to be honest ... It looks cheaper both inside and out and I personally like the heavier accelerator pedal feel of the accord
+Jean C I just don't like the grill
Really? I personally like it .. Also should mention audio system is not that impressive in the accord if that's important to you .. Good luck finding the perfect car for you! :-)
+Jean C u2
Hi guys I need your opinion
I just found a 2017 accord elx for 23k Miles 8 k
Me USA is it a good price ?? Thank
Looks ? between the fusion and honda touring? ....
My gosh, did they fuck up with the 2018 rear design, it doesn’t come close to this beauty!
This review is remarkably similar to the one for the 2013 accord. But I guess the cars are pretty similar to
BTW remote start is standard now as well.
