My jaw literally dropped at 5:45 for the amount of heel slip you were getting. Nice to know the change up in lacing helped to correct it. That’s CRAZY though!
I am 51 years old and suffer from Achilles. Normally I run with Asics Cumulus. I am very happy that last Decmber I managed to do my first full marathon in Valencia 2hr 43 minutes. Now I bought Brooks Ghost 14 but I would like to try the invincible once as well.
Just bought another pair of 2s yesterday, I love my current pair so decided to just get them as they're on sale. I'm very hesitant to get the 3s as my feet are quite narrow, and I'm afraid my heel will not stay put in these new ones. The 2s are quite wide on the heel for me as well, but they provide a good enough lockdown. Have to say more stability is definitely a welcome addition though.
The shoe is 190 in euro. Whether I use a runner's knot, depends on the shoe. I have this weird thing where I have heel slip on my left foot, in almost all of my shoes. Sometimes I will just use the runner's knot on the left shoe, but it's not always necessary.
I love that the back is covered now. My invincible ones went bad in 6 months with casual wear for comfort because the back end of the foam fell apart. I hope this eliminates that !!
I’ve only started wearing v2 other week. I like it but it was less than €100 so I’ll been swapping between invincible and more based on whichever is cheaper when I’m in the market again. Always love your honest unbiased opinion

Basicly its just as squishy as all the 3 shoes mentioned on this video but the supercomp trainer also have a carbon plate in it.. which makes it more versatile if you want to run even faster :)
My go to running shoe. V1 V2 and on my 6th pair and have a box of fresh V2's next up. Would definitely wait for these in the sale. I have for the most part been injury free the last number of years since i've changed to running in the Invincibles and i don't think it's a coincidence. A great shoe, but always worth waiting for the sales. Thanks for the review video ✌✌

Nice review Ben. I've not seen any including yours that would convince me to run in the Invicible 3 over the NB More v4. Which is why I bought and am running in the latter (£98 from Go Outdoors in the UK). Its an excellent cusion shoe for sure and am loving it for easy days.
I would love to find old stock of version 1. I had two pairs and have 1400km on the first pair before the insole collapsed, and 1500km and counting on the second pair. The second pair hasn’t failed yet so I use it when it’s really wet muddy on the roads to save my newer shoes. They both fitted so well I barely had to do the laces up for zero movement. I bought version two and have had moor foot movement, the oval laces don’t have enough friction so they lose your shape every time you take them off making it like the first time you have ever worn them each time you run and sometimes means you stop several times to make adjustments. This has been such a problem that I now try and slip the on and off by having then a little looser to avoid having to disturb the laces, which isn’t great. Also V2 is making the main top of the joint on the big toe on the ball of my foot quite painful and swollen at times. It seems to be something to do with the lowest lace hole stitching protruding inside the shoe more than V1. I have loosened and adjusted the shoe so many times and I can’t get rid of it. I find myself waiting for the shoe to wear out so I can get something else. Was excited about V3, but the lockdown changes make me thing I will have to do them up tighter possibly making the toe problem worse. So right now I am either waiting for V4 lol or looking around the internet for old new stock V1s. I really don’t like that orange square flag on the ZoomX outsole. Looks tacky.
I personally wish there was a soft sole Nike with a light upper like the Zoom Vaporfly. Love these new invincibles but the upper is essentially a sweat sponge.
I have the Invincible 1 but when running with them my runs are imbalanced (60%R/40%L) and i feel it on my right foot afterwards, really nice to see the stability improvements!! I'll get the shoe on discount, thanks for the review Ben!
Got the white version turning up tomorrow.. enjoyed version 2 for my easy recovery runs. Got them for £140. 🤞🏻 I don’t have heal slippage.. great review as always
My daughter talked me into my first pair of Nike in like 20 years. She loved the version 2. So far I like them a lot. I have worn Saucony for many years. I am out of my comfort zone. Thanks for the review.
I only got V2 back at the start of October and have 120 miles in them so far. They seem fine for me up to about 10 miles and then they just feel dead beyond that. One thing I did change at about 100 miles is to use grip socks when running in them and they have improved how the shoe feels when running. There's added stability and the shoe feels less wobbly, I'm very impressed at how a simple change of sock has transformed the feel. I've picked up another 2 pairs cheap in the Nike outlets recently so will just keep these for now I think 👍
After the Nike Invincible version 2, I am not really interested in buying the new one. I bought them about 2 months ago for my distance track season but after minimal mileage(around 60 miles so pretty broken in for me) the outsole had already started to peel off. Additionally, there was no sense of impact protection, even though there is a lot of foam, leaving me with a knee injury to deal with. On top of that, these are not an all rounder shoe either since picking up the pace is and was incredibly difficult. I have heard lots of great things, such as how light they feel and airy they fell, about these shoes but for me they are just not right. ***I hope this reaches someone, anyone that can be helped by this information***

Just had my first run in this shoe. 4 mile easy run. Sadly the inside of my foot got a hotspot and began to blister. Got them as a gift so I can’t return them. Hoping my foot will get used to it. Maybe it’s because I have a low arch.
Its actually $180 dollars here in the U.S. There is no reason why any shoe should be this heavy. My advice would be save your money and get the NB More V4, which seems to be a much better shoe for a much better price, especially now that it is being discounted here in the U.S. I got my More V4 for $94 U.S dollars.
Good review as always. I recently bought the invincible 2 after watching your review on the them. One of the best shoe purchases i have ever made, thankyou 🙏🏻
Was going through reviews since im split on either the nimbus 25 or this for my daily easy and recovery runs and tbh am still split between the two since both are great
I was too afraid to try the Invincible, but after transitioning to a standing desk and realizing all the benefits that it provided me for ankle/foot strength, I finally tried the Invincible V2. And fell in love with the shoe. 140km so far on only 6 runs, it's become my go to long run shoe . If my LR includes sections at MP/HMP I will always switch over to the Tempo Next%. But for a true easy pace LR, the Invincible is a dream. Hopefully I can still find a pair of V2's later this year for sale, but if not, looks like the V3 will still do the trick. Thanks for the review!
This is interesting. I've got a standing desk but I've really got out of the habit of standing. How long do you stand per day and how have you found it's helped your running and overall leg/ankle strength? Any other body parts you feel it has helped? Perhaps hips, quads too?
@@jakeblackwell-hughes3539 I was at the point of standing for 6-8 hrs per day with a stool behind me to lean on when I got tired. Quads and hip flexors are great now, last marathon had zero quad or hip discomfort. It was all calves and hamstrings, something I plan to work with strength training before my next marathon in the fall.
If you can get your hands on the cream color way I would highly recommend, they’re sold out in most sizes online and they’re not on stock x or goat but a local Nike retailer did have them and it’s by far the best color way available.
I just got a pair, a recovery shoe, but still had one of my fastest 5km runs in this shoe, it felt easy & fun to run in😄 the heel slipping is a non issue for me, when using the runners knot.
I don't understand how people say the upper is uncomfortable or the heel slippage is so bad. I have zero heel slip. My foot feels locked down. The only complaint I have is it feels like there's hardly any foam in the mid/fore foot. It feels like a hard impact, especially vs my superblasts. I was surprised. Overall not a bad shoe.
FWIW saying you cannot return it is incorrect, if you buy a shoe directly from Nike (in store or online) you can return it for whatever reason you want no matter how much you've run in it within 30 days (was increased to 60 days during covid but may be 30 again now).
We were going to buy a shoe last year, but the shop assistant in Nike Glasgow said that you cannot return it if it’s worn.. so we bought it on the website in the end. The shoe was fine, so it didn’t matter. Not sure what the official line is now, but was basing it on that experience. Thanks Luke! 🙂
Don’t you feel Nike should supply longer laces with bigger shoe sizes? I’m 11.5uk and use runners knot, as used in the video, to stop heel slippage. But I find myself struggling to get a good knot.
Do you recommend these to long time Vomero runners with 90kg? This shoe looks fantastic but I have my doubts about the cushioning and the heel stability compared to the Homero 16. Many thanks in advance.
I don’t know why but I feel Nike has been cutting corners with the thickness of the bottom soles as they’re way too thin, especially after doing any medium distance running. The soles wears out too fast or maybe it’s just me? When paying a premium you would expect the trainers to last longer.
I was waiting on these as I hated the heel on the v2's but loved the midsole. Unfortunately, these look even worse. I hope the 4's revert to a traditional raised heel counter, such as my endorphins and triumphs.
One of these with a carbon plate in it could be a super good long marathon shoe in theory no? I’m pretty new to running itself but I’ve gone down the rabbit hole of shoes since starting to think about doing an Ironman in a year.
I received the 3 today. Checked them in the office with running socks , and only walking around. . So sorry, I’ll send them back. A shoe for. 189€ , with heel slip, even I laced it stronger using all tricks to get it tighter, this is a NO GO. A very good looking shoe, but this is really not acceptable.
You asked if we used heal lock lacing? Since I started using it, it has completely got rid of the dreaded bruised toenails. I haven't lost one for about a year now :)
Hey Ben, a little off topic but do you ship your merchandise to the US? I’m really loving some of your hats and tees. Look forward to hearing from you.
Both the 1 and 2 give me blisters at the ball of my foot, I’ve ordered the v3 in the hope the redesign takes this away. I really want these to work for my long runs
Should shoe companies show the weight of the for different sizes of shoe. Nike say 310 grams for size 9. Wouldn’t have believed your size adds that much weight but there you go. Some companies don’t even mention size with the weight. That could be the smallest size to make it seem lighter
Im curious for every day use wear and tear, and weather damage. For when it rains etc. How long it last. Bc the zoomx was terrible with that. But i think i did get that other option for the sole of the shoe.
I tried the NB 1080v12 xwide but they are too flat in the instep. Than Hoka Bondi xwide. They are good but very very weird sole. I step with the inside on the Hard Sole. Imposaible to walk. Now i have the Nike ZoomX FK3. They fit perfect.
Looks like they’ve changed up the laces there Ben? Actually can get the runners knot with enough lace. Last editions shoe the laces I would describe as Udon noodle style laces haha
I had been looking into this due to chronic shin issues and wanting some cushioning but might be avoiding now! From all the shoes you have tried; are there any you would recommend for shin splints? I’m not necessarily fixated on any brand!
Absolute legend buying the shoe yourself. No accepting a box with hundreds of dollars of swag. No taking a trip around the world to a fancy release event. If everyone did what you did there’s really no need for that tiresome disclaimer all the channels give (“i swear my thoughts are my own even though they flew me to Miami and paid my race fees!”)
Great Review Ben👍 I like the enthusiasm on your reviews… it shows your real passion in running. Quick question though, is it advisable for tropical countries? We only have 2 seasons… hot and hotter. How’s the breathability? Thanks in advance
As it’s only about 5 Celsius in London right now it’s hard to say! The previous pair was ok and the upper is very similar in v3. So expect these will be ok. Enjoy! 🌴

Haven’t bought a pair yet, but the slip at the back seems to be a common complaint
You asked if we used heal lock lacing? Since I started using it, it has completely got rid of the dreaded bruised toenails. I haven't lost one for about a year now :)
invincible run3 very good weight up feel great for jumping, ready to buy 2nd pairs
Hey Ben, a little off topic but do you ship your merchandise to the US? I’m really loving some of your hats and tees. Look forward to hearing from you.
Yes we do! USPS or FedEx options! Thank you!
Both the 1 and 2 give me blisters at the ball of my foot, I’ve ordered the v3 in the hope the redesign takes this away. I really want these to work for my long runs
I use heel lock lacing on most shoes, just like the feel of it
Happy with my gel-nimbus 25
Should shoe companies show the weight of the for different sizes of shoe. Nike say 310 grams for size 9. Wouldn’t have believed your size adds that much weight but there you go. Some companies don’t even mention size with the weight. That could be the smallest size to make it seem lighter
Just went and bought 2 pair of V2 after seeing this. Nike website has purged them. Check clearance stores!!! Good luck
I wanted to buy it because I love the design and the Zoom x but didn’t get a good lock down despite using the runner’s loop😢
Same here the heel slippage was really bad. I couldn’t walk 30’ in them even with a runner’s loop.
Hello Ben, first- thanks for your great reviews👍
How is the width?
Best,
Philip from Copenhagen
I want to try em but won't pay $180 US. I'll wait until they're on sale.
Imagine introducing yourself with your marathon time 😂
I have severe overpronation and achilles+plantar fasciitis. Do you think that this would be a good option for me?
Heck.., I’m still running in version 1….., a lot
Looks like they’ve changed up the laces there Ben? Actually can get the runners knot with enough lace. Last editions shoe the laces I would describe as Udon noodle style laces haha
I had been looking into this due to chronic shin issues and wanting some cushioning but might be avoiding now! From all the shoes you have tried; are there any you would recommend for shin splints? I’m not necessarily fixated on any brand!
They were 180 USD here in the states not $235
Yes, sorry.. I got mixed up with Canadian and USA dollars. Apologies!
@@BenParkes No need to apologize.... Great videos... You've helped this fat guy to get off the couch and run! So thanks for the content!
Enjoy! 🌴
For someone doing short runs (5K) every day. Which one is better Invincible run 3 or Tempo next %?
Thank you!
Yes.. get the 39's now if you like the pegasus line up!
$180 USD as per the website not $235
Please review free run 5.0 for casual day to day
I am just wondering, since you are a "toe" runner, landing on toes and taking off, how could you assess the cushion in the heel?
Can overweight folks like myself wear it for jogging without wearing down whatever cushion is at the bottom?
Yes, certainly a good shoe for heavier runners. All the best!
I feel so sad. They stopped making the Zoom tempo next 1% and I’ve found nothing to replace it. Not even the Fly 5! Please help! I need a good a good shoe for speed training and 5k! Training and race!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
