I have had six pairs (averaging 477 miles per shoe) of the Nike Invincible models and agree with your comments. I like the Invincible 3 because of its durability, and yes, I use the runner's loop to lessen the heel slippage.
I let the heel slippage complaint stop me from buying this shoe, but after seeing your opinion on the shoe and some really good Black Friday deals, i snagged up pair. Used the runners knot and wow this is a really good shoe!
I bought the invincible run 3.. the first Nike shoe except for Nike Frees that I've bought since 1982. Yep.. '82. For me it's neck & neck with the Adidas Adistar 3, On Cloudeclipse & NB 1080 v14 as my favourite recovery shoe. I also love the More v4 & 5.. On's Cloudeclipse is exceptional but I'm in love with my "black & fuchsia" Nikes. The cushion is different from the Adistar 3.. not better, not worse.. but different. Genuinely surprised I could love a Nike running shoe - it's been four decades!!
Has anyone rolled their ankle in these? I just rolled my ankle a few weeks ago and I’m not sure if it was because of the sole of the shoe being wider or unstable. Or if it was simply uneven ground. I’m nervous about wearing them again.
No heel slipping, no double knot. Our feet are all different. I dont feel them firmer, they have more foam, more cushion, they propel you forward( a thing that does not happends always in the previous versions you go forward and sideways). The invincible's 3 have more versatility, more snap than the previous versions. In terms of completion we agree to disagree!
I land on the midfoot and during slow runs these seemed pretty boring, but when I picked up the pace on a few more runs and broke the shoes in I realized how fun the shoes are. They’re pretty soft and perfect for running on sidewalks/streets
I was using the infinite run 4’s for a while. They are nice but the toe box is super narrow and harder for me to run in without getting blisters. I feel like these are a more cushioned version of the IR4 with a wider toe box, even tho they are the older model.
Such a polarizing shoe I’ve looked at a bunch! So many people hate it, but it sounds like it might work well. Then, on the other hand, there’s the fomo of maybe the 4 coming in a couple months (guessing).
Great show so far. I was recently able to score a pair at the Nike outlet for 90 bucks in a woman’s color. The color didn’t matter to me. Also no heel slip for me so far.
I wouldn't say these are breathable, but the upper isn't super padded so they don't feel hot. But I didn't exactly feel the wind on my feet or anything.
Didn’t even know people where saying there was heel slippage, i retire my shoe everyday, tho they are running shoes I use them as my daily’s there great !
I have only run in the Invincible 3 and Nimbus 25, but I really like the Nimbus 25 for walking. Comfortable, but firm enough for me. The upper on the Invincible wasn't the most padded, so it wasn't as good for walking in my opinion.
Greetings, here is a short review of my experience with the nike invincible run 3 shoe. I gave this sneaker a chance 2 times, and it would have ended in returning both pairs. I've never had a problem with heel sleep on sneakers in general, let alone for running. Even though I would tie the runners knot it didn't help. I couldn't run even 1 km in them and would hate every step i took. Mostly, I can't really recommend this sneaker to anyone, even though Nike is my favorite sports brand and the zoom x foam is just 🤌. But still this heal slipping was too big of a issue for me
new runner here, just bought these. Everyone on youtube and friends told me to go half size up on running shoes. Would you recommend going tts or 1/2 size up?
Sorry for the delayed response, but I get tts for almost all my running shoes (size 10) and they fit perfectly. You'll want to make sure there is some room for your toes, as your feet expand a bit after you run, but going a half size up often means the shoe is too lose for me
Hey man watched all your Invincible Run 3 videos and they've been great! I was planning on buying a pair and trying to cut the strobel board out with a knife to feel the foam more. Do you do think this would be possible based on how hard it feels? Never had them in hand before
Thanks for watching! I just took a look; I think you could cut the seams with an x-acto knife. I’m not done running in them yet, so I haven’t done that myself, but it does appear to be possible, since the seams are big enough to just cut. However, I’m not sure if it’s also glued to the midsole, which could be an issue. The strobel board doesn’t budge. To be honest, it’s a little risky, especially if there is glue that might pull up some of the foam when you try to remove the board
@@FreshBrewRunClub Ahhhh dang hadn't considered the glue aspect to it. You are probably right about destroying the foam in the process. Bummer cause the 1/2's just feel so good. Thanks for looking for me though! You got a great channel
Hey I got a question have you tested out the durability on the vaporfly 3’s? I just recently got some and scared to know if they’re durable enough to last a season of XC and a track season
I only ran in the Vaporfly 1s, which were not a super durable shoe. I probably only ran about 90 miles in them before the upper started ripping and the outsole got worn down. Not sure if the VF3s are better though
Thanks! For just easy runs, probably the Invincible 3. It’s a bit more cushioned and has a lot of stability (due to the width) that the 1080 doesn’t have. Plus, if you did want to pick the pace up, it can handle it without issues.
For me personally as a lifetime Nike fanboy, this was the first Nike shoe where I didn’t really like it. The looks are GREAT but I felt myself having knee/ hamstring pain every time I wore these. When I switched shoes the pain went away. Im a forefoot striker, Personally the heel area has too much cushion compared to the forefoot. If the forefoot had just a little bit more cushion I’d love them but the looks aren’t enough for me to endure the knee / hamstring pain. Great shoe if you want a comfy everyday shoe for walking.
Yeah, this one had such mixed reviews. Really goes to show how everyone has different needs/wants in a shoe. I haven't bought a second pair, if that tells you anything!
I would look at this one, or the Nike Pegasus. This shoe is more of a max cushion shoe, where the Pegasus is a more “neutral” shoe. I started with the Pegasus years ago, and gradually tried some other stuff before I realized I prefer max cushion
Great review!!! This is my daily shoe / marathon shoe. It fits me incredibly great. No slippage. I get 400 miles out of mine as a heel striker who weighs 185llbs. With that said - what would you recommend for a marathon racing shoe for people who love the Invincible 3?!
Thanks Brian! If you like the Invincible 3, I’d recommend the Alphafly 2. It’s what I wore last year, and has the same ZoomX foam and a high stack height like the Invincible. Any racing shoe is going to feel slightly different than a trainer, but I didn’t have any issues. I haven’t run in the new Alphafly 3, as they’re always selling out and going for a lot on the secondary market, but I think the AF2 is available. Hope this is helpful!
The Invincible 3 felt more like a stiffer max cushioned shoe to me, while the Invincible 1 and 2 had a pop and squish in them that I thought was fun. They were different than anything I've ever run in, and every step had a sensation that just felt fun. It's subjective, but I miss that
If you want a lot of cushion in a marathon shoe, this would be a good option. I ran a marathon in the Invincible 2, and it was fine. Some people prefer a lighter shoe, but if comfort is your main concern, this is a great shoe.
horrible, fit super tight, and broken on the top after 1 month. with 50$ less go for a novablast 4. very unhappy with invincible 3. I also owned a 1 and was absolutely better. good point: the traction of the sole, also used in an urban trail and worked fine. ciao
I am at 230 miles with mine. I never dealt with any heel slipping. Just did a double knot and everything worked great.
Yep, a pretty simple fix! Glad you like them
I use stretchy triathlon laces that I don’t need to tie up. Never had slippage

Ran 400 miles in mine. Def need to use the runner's loop for heel slippage. Very durable and a solid daily runner.
For sure! Thanks for watching

A $180 should not require a runners knot but im glad it fixes the problem for most
Lots of good deals to be found out there!
just got a pair for $130🗣️
So many runners complained there was too much padding on the heal, Nike listened and removed it hence ankle slippage.
Haha exactly! People got what they asked for! (Even though I thought the originals were nearly perfect)
I land on the midfoot and during slow runs these seemed pretty boring, but when I picked up the pace on a few more runs and broke the shoes in I realized how fun the shoes are. They’re pretty soft and perfect for running on sidewalks/streets
Yeah, I was surprised at varying speeds these could handle, especially for a "max cushion" shoe
Diamond 💎 cheers for the review I’ll be coping these later on
Thanks!

An internet site that tracks shoe releases is saying February 2024 version 4.
Yeah hoping for a spring release. You can probably find some good deals on the V3 right now, and grab the v4 when it comes out next year
Great show so far. I was recently able to score a pair at the Nike outlet for 90 bucks in a woman’s color. The color didn’t matter to me. Also no heel slip for me so far.
Awesome deal. I also don’t care about the colorways, which means I have a few very dirty white shoes!
Love it! do they feel/are breathable? can you give me some advice, if I want to run 21k and I have running socks, it will get too hot?
I wouldn't say these are breathable, but the upper isn't super padded so they don't feel hot. But I didn't exactly feel the wind on my feet or anything.
Didn’t even know people where saying there was heel slippage, i retire my shoe everyday, tho they are running shoes I use them as my daily’s there great !
Yeah, it got a lot of bad publicity when it came out, but I think people have generally viewed this positively since then
Which one is best for long walks, daily works wear shoes... nike invincible 3, hoka clifton 9 or asic gel nimbus 26 ??
I have only run in the Invincible 3 and Nimbus 25, but I really like the Nimbus 25 for walking. Comfortable, but firm enough for me. The upper on the Invincible wasn't the most padded, so it wasn't as good for walking in my opinion.
I actually love love this shoes. It’s more comfortable than Pegasus 40. I even completed full marathon in it comfortably
Great to hear! I ran a marathon in the original Invincibles, and they worked well for me.

Totally fair.
Nice review!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Congratulations you speaking of durability first :) Durability is one of my nr. 1 prios in a running shoe.

does the foam compress after a while? nike fr runs didnt maintain the cushioning
After 300 miles I noticed it a little. Definitely a way more durable shoe than the Free Runs
What do you recommend between invicible run 3 or pegasus 41 ? Please advise. Appreciate it. Thanks.
I think the Invincible is a much better shoe, but it is much more cushioned

I agree, this is the most durable Nike sneak I've ever run in (and I've run in countless Nike's).
I’m shocked at how well they’ve held up
@@FreshBrewRunClub- Very not Nike-like :-)
Just got a pair from Dicks for $95. Wake up edition or something. Only had one day, but seem great for that price!
That’s a steal! Almost 50% off!
I've got them from Nike online store for 108$ and I'm very glad)))
Are invincble 3 good for walks and slow jogs?
If not, what other shoes would you recommend
I’m sure they r. If not try infinite run 4s they are my fav casual shoe
Yeah, they’re great for that!
hello, did you experience any sole separation with your invincible 3?
Not with mine, I’ve gone over 300 miles in them. I have seen people have issues, but I have not seen them myself
I'm looking to purchase my first running shoe (casual runner), would this be a wise shoe to get?
I would look at this one, or the Nike Pegasus. This shoe is more of a max cushion shoe, where the Pegasus is a more “neutral” shoe. I started with the Pegasus years ago, and gradually tried some other stuff before I realized I prefer max cushion

Great Video! Do they run like most Nike's small in size?
Thanks! I'm a US size 10 and these were true to size.
@@FreshBrewRunClub Thanks!
It's strange that I just felt the heel slip when I walk but not when I run 😂
I guess you'll have to put them on and immediatly run out the door!
What are your thoughts on the weight?
For the amount of cushion you get with this shoe, it actually doesn't feel that heavy. Certainly not "light" but I liked them
@@FreshBrewRunClub Thanks for the feedback.
hey what do you mean by they aren't as fun as other shoes?
The Invincible 3 felt more like a stiffer max cushioned shoe to me, while the Invincible 1 and 2 had a pop and squish in them that I thought was fun. They were different than anything I've ever run in, and every step had a sensation that just felt fun. It's subjective, but I miss that

Yes!

Why exactly are you a heel striker?
It’s just always been my form, and I don’t think the effort it would take to change that after all these years is worth it
True to size ?
Yes, but I recommend a runner’s knot to prevent heel slip. It’ll feel a little loose otherwise
I love this shoe. I have 4 pairs
It’s a great shoe!
