He interviewed Ren and was interviewed by The Charismatic Voice. His reactions are fun and not always high profile artists. He is now a down to earth guy. Check out some of their newer stuff
The drummer for THE DARKNESS (Rufus Tiger Taylor) is the son of the drummer of QUEEN (Roger Taylor) . He has been the drummer since 2015. He is not the drummer in this video though.
When I first saw this band, I was thinking, "What the hell is this" and when I heard them, I'm going, "Holy crap, what is this," in shock and enjoyment! Thanks Guys!
Wikipedia: The Darkness are an English rock band that formed in Lowestoft, England in 2000. The band consists of Justin Hawkins (lead vocals, lead guitar), his brother Dan Hawkins (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Frankie Poullain (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Rufus Tiger Taylor (drums, backing vocals). The Darkness came to prominence with the release of their debut album, Permission to Land, in 2003. Backed by the singles "I Believe in a Thing Called Love". Lead singer Justin found interest as a vocalist, citing Freddie Mercury and Bon Scott as his two biggest influences.
I do love Justin Hawkins' show... a must see! But, I came to give some Queen trivia and how intertwined Queen and the Darkness are. First, Justin has each member of Queen tattooed on his left fingers, between the knuckle and the hand. Their amazingly gorgeous and talented drummer is Rufus Tiger Taylor, Roger Taylor's, Queen's drummer, son. Freddie Mercury gave Rufus the middle name "Tiger" and then Roger named his next child, a daughter, Tigerliliy... who is now a beautiful model. When The Darkness was looking for a drummer, Pete Malandrone, Brian May's guitar tech, recommended Rufus. Justin had to ask Rufus if he was going to be okay playing in a band with a guy who had his dad tattooed on his hand. Rufus said it was fine... and here we are! (Edit: Did I mention how incredibly _HOT_ Rufus is!? Much like his father at that age... and Roger still is, even now in his 70s! Those blue eyes... _swoon_ ).
The Darkness were huuuuge in the U.K. for a while in the early 2000s. Saw them back in the day and saw them in 2023 at Download Festival, they were as fantastic as always and Justin’s voice gets better with age!
One of my favourite bands and I've been lucky enough to see them live 4 times. Justin is a fantastic front man and their concerts are always made better by his sense of humour.
I saw these guys live a couple of years ago and they are still fire. Justin Hawkins voice is phenomenal live and he is the ultimate front man. He also has a great UA-cam channel that’s worth a watch
Real trip down memory lane from my high school days. Remember it being a big hit at the time. Remember them having a big Christmas hit but can’t remember much else offhand. They were massive Queen fans and it came across.
Justin Hawkins Rides Again is an absolutely Charming podcast. The guy is a natural and his style is very casual and personable... he's very musically knowledgeable obviously.... and he has interesting guests on at least any of the ones I've seen. Highly recommended
Love that you totally got this they are a national treasure here in the UK. Also Justin took part in the uk Taylor Hawkins tribute singing with Van halen if i remember correctly
This is 20 years old already but I just saw a very recent live version the other day (Party in the Paddock), no slacking off whatsoever, damn impressive performance! Singer and the other guitarist are brothers btw, Justin and Dan Hawkins.
I used to turn the radio all the way up when I was at work and this came on. Shout out WRIF Detroit! It was fun to have people trying to sing this all over the shop floor!
😅One can not not love this. My sister was obsessed for a while, I was appropriately worried. But time passed. They're a great band, ppl think they're spoofs, but I assure you they are wonderful musicians. Their later albums speaks. Hugs from Sweden.
My in-laws are truly good, kind folks. I love them. They probably think I don't like them because I hate talking on the phone but I honestly feel like I can relax around them after a half hour. It takes me hours to do so around my own family and days around friends.
just for fun, check Justin on the masked singer, he was the chameleon... the first song he did the coaches said "he is good, not a singer... but good"...then he unleashed all his vocals, that song was "Creep"
Another band that's kinda quirky like this with a heavy-ish name is The Eagles of Death Metal ! Check out their song The Boys Bad News ( I think is the name ) but it features members from Queens of the Stone Age . It is a fun listen for sure lol !
Another song i really really love from them is Love Is Only A Feeling, i like this band alot. Justin Hawkins is a really cool and funny guy, great singer and guitar player too.
Everyone reacts to this song, but they have a sweet catalogue. They’ve mentioned their biggest influences are Queen and AC/DC You should check out more of their music, Givin’ Up, Love On The Rocks With No Ice, Last of Our Kind, Motorheart. They have a lot of great music
Also also I first heard this song on Kareoke Revolution, a Rock band style game! You sing and try to match the artist! My friends and I were trying for like 6 months to platinum it and this was the song that we tried our hardest! We spent like 2 months trying to get it as it was the last song we had to do and I finally got it done one drunken night!
Probably their most popular song. Possibly their best, depending on who you ask. This song was definitely guaranteed to be heard at most parties I went to in the early 2000's🤘🏼
The two guitarists are brothers. If you'd like to check out another great band with two brothers not named Van Halen or Gallagher, check out Atlanta's very own Collective Soul. They were MASSIVE in the 90s. Songs like Precious Declaration, Listen, December, Where the River Flows, Shine, Heavy or Better Now are sure to put smiles on you guys' faces
A fair bit of Queen in there too. Great band, great video, and as others have said, Justin is a brilliant bloke with his own YT channel and so funny...and informative on music.
Fun Fact: In this song, Justin Hawkins and his rampaging falsetto are over the moon in love with a special someone. The song is a striking throwback to glam rock, with a visual presentation that makes it clear this isn't to be taken too seriously. The Darkness were both a savior and a send-up of rock and roll. Many were confused, but also very amused.
Cool shirt Smokey(Jimmi Hendrix) my top three faves,,, Vivian Campbell, Joe Satriani, and Rik Emmet,,,,, what's you top 3? I know Tom Morello and who else????....................................................................................... Ooo Barney is what the Towel looked like,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Scorpions (Blackout)
...Led Zeppelin? Really? This practically /screams/ Queen! Especially when you think just how much the lead singers ham it up more than a pig farm. On a side note, if you ever get to do a festive-themed reaction, check out The Darkness' song 'Christmas Time (don't let the bells end)' - a song written purely so they could get as near as possible to having a song on the radio that included the word 'bell-end'.
The Singer is now also a UA-camr now. Justin Hawkings rides again.
Oh yes, he is really talented with a great channel!
@@loneponderer495 ya he’s great at it too
It's brilliant check it out
Yes!! He’s great and very funny.
He interviewed Ren and was interviewed by The Charismatic Voice. His reactions are fun and not always high profile artists. He is now a down to earth guy. Check out some of their newer stuff
Justin Hawkins is a treasure...he did a reaction to Elizabeth from The Charismatic Voice reacting to this song - and it's funny as hell.
And he vanquished a space crab and a space octopus in the space of three minutes.
I remember this song was huge back in the day. They’re actually quite popular still across the pond.
The drummer for THE DARKNESS (Rufus Tiger Taylor) is the son of the drummer of QUEEN (Roger Taylor) . He has been the drummer since 2015. He is not the drummer in this video though.

Thanks Guys!
"Get Your Hands Off My Woman" is a Darkness song that never fails to put a smile on my face.
"Barbarian" and "Last Of Our Kind" are also great songs
This is the Darkness doing their best Spinal Tap......only they know how to play.
This album was so great. Right place, right time.
The lead singer is active on youtube "Justin Hawkins Rides Again"
Great channel, love his somg reactions too!
They were doing more of a Glam Tock throw-back. So they are paying homage to bands like Sweet, Slade, Queen, early-70’s Bowie, and stuff like that.
Glam *Rock
Not trying to be a grammar Nazi, just don't want them to think Glam Tock is an actual genre lmao
I'm glad yall are finally to this song.😁✌️🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘💥🖤
They are great. Rockin’ and hilarious.

Can't wait The Darkness are mega, looking forward to seeing your faces when Justin Hawkins starts up 😂
The Darkness were huuuuge in the U.K. for a while in the early 2000s. Saw them back in the day and saw them in 2023 at Download Festival, they were as fantastic as always and Justin’s voice gets better with age!
I was there. All my friends went to see Korn but I had to see The Darkness again. Seen them dozens of times but can never resist.
One of my favourite bands and I've been lucky enough to see them live 4 times. Justin is a fantastic front man and their concerts are always made better by his sense of humour.
Once you enter The Darkness, there is no escape! Glad you guys finally hit the Brothers Hawkins and Co.
I saw these guys live a couple of years ago and they are still fire. Justin Hawkins voice is phenomenal live and he is the ultimate front man. He also has a great UA-cam channel that’s worth a watch
More Queen influence than Zep.
I had the pleasure of seeing them in Philly, at the Trocadero. Hands down, one of the BEST live acts EVER!
Get Your Hands Off My Woman, by The Darkness, rocks!
There are some really great kind people in the tribe for sure!! ❤
By the way Justin Hawkins interviewed Ren on his UA-cam channel “Justin Hawkins rides again”. He loves Ren
Appreciate y’all spreading it around…Hawkins can hit the high notes
Morphine: Cure For Pain
Soundgarden: Flower
Black Sabbath: Hand of Doom
Real trip down memory lane from my high school days. Remember it being a big hit at the time. Remember them having a big Christmas hit but can’t remember much else offhand.
They were massive Queen fans and it came across.
I just realized that this is Electric Callboy level of talent and humor almost 20 years in advance. ❤🤘
As a 50 yr gen x, watching smoky attempt the trivia is equally hilarious & cringe that he struggles with them
Justin Hawkins Rides Again is an absolutely Charming podcast. The guy is a natural and his style is very casual and personable... he's very musically knowledgeable obviously.... and he has interesting guests on at least any of the ones I've seen. Highly recommended
Have seen the darkness live and he could certainly hit those high notes x
A damn CLASSIC
One of the best pure rock bands of the last 30 years, check out "Givin Up" from this same album
You really need to watch their later music. Seriously talented band
This whole album is amazing. Every single track is a banger
The second guitar solo is amazing
I think of them as a cross (and something of a parody) between Zep, Queen, Iron Maiden and Deep Purple - all the classic British rock basically
I used to turn the radio all the way up when I was at work and this came on. Shout out WRIF Detroit! It was fun to have people trying to sing this all over the shop floor!
Ah! A lovely falsetto ❤. Great reaction guys👍. Stay safe amid all the weather warnings
One of the most entertaining bands I’ve seen live (twice). They still tour, I highly recommend catching a show.
😅One can not not love this. My sister was obsessed for a while, I was appropriately worried. But time passed. They're a great band, ppl think they're spoofs, but I assure you they are wonderful musicians. Their later albums speaks. Hugs from Sweden.
I love their version of radioheads street spirit.
Love is only a feeling. Is another great track.
Remember my kids singing this on guitar 🎸 hero, laughing at each other doing the high pitch 😂
My in-laws are truly good, kind folks. I love them. They probably think I don't like them because I hate talking on the phone but I honestly feel like I can relax around them after a half hour. It takes me hours to do so around my own family and days around friends.
Lots of fun!
I know I've been MIA for about 2 months but I'll be there for Live With The Tribe today! Can't wait! I also have A LOT of videos to catch up on!
Queen Queen Queen all the way
just for fun, check Justin on the masked singer, he was the chameleon... the first song he did the coaches said "he is good, not a singer... but good"...then he unleashed all his vocals, that song was "Creep"
Another band that's kinda quirky like this with a heavy-ish name is The Eagles of Death Metal ! Check out their song The Boys Bad News ( I think is the name ) but it features members from Queens of the Stone Age . It is a fun listen for sure lol !
I love that you have a Ghost shirt now 😂 if you have Ghost, you have everything!
Another song i really really love from them is Love Is Only A Feeling, i like this band alot. Justin Hawkins is a really cool and funny guy, great singer and guitar player too.
Remember the SPARKS song I gave for Patreon: This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us. Well, Justin Hawkings does a great cover of that!
There's a live version of this from Download a few years back that's just awesome with a lunatic crowd.
Thanks guys, now this chorus will be stuck in my head for the next 11 days. Brings me back to middle school
3:36 the Thais. Called the “land of smiles” for a reason, just impossible to dislike… 🙏🏻🇹🇭
This was my rock jam in 2003 brilliant band and a banger of a tune 🤘🤘
Everyone reacts to this song, but they have a sweet catalogue. They’ve mentioned their biggest influences are Queen and AC/DC You should check out more of their music, Givin’ Up, Love On The Rocks With No Ice, Last of Our Kind, Motorheart. They have a lot of great music
Awesome reaction as always!
Please is time to comeback to Nanowar of Steel!
Dang Smokies head was about to burst into flames with the trivia and just not remembering!
Also Justin has a youtube channel that's pretty cool!
Also also I first heard this song on Kareoke Revolution, a Rock band style game! You sing and try to match the artist! Great band....seriously not to be taken seriously!!!!😊
Morning guys! Lmao what?? That was a trip. Great guitars and he hit some high notes! ......
One for the future, they had a massive Christmas song they released so could be one to check out closer to the time. Great content as ever guys!
An amazing live band. Put in a great show!
The two guitarists are brothers. If you'd like to check out another great band with two brothers not named Van Halen or Gallagher, check out Atlanta's very own Collective Soul. Great song.
Mom,can I have Queen? No we have Queen at home-😂😂😂
A fair bit of Queen in there too. Great band, great video, and as others have said, Justin is a brilliant bloke with his own YT channel and so funny...and informative on music.
I never really figured out whether this was meant to be parody. The last generation of Rock Gods.
Fun Fact: In this song, Justin Hawkins and his rampaging falsetto are over the moon in love with a special someone. Ooo Barney is what the Towel looked like,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Scorpions (Blackout)
Now You Have To Listen To The Darkness Friday Night
Didn't expect the GSP reference on a Darkness video!
Now you need to see Adam Lambert's version from Glee XD
I love Justin!!
In my opinion these guys are the reincarnation of the band Sweet.
you should listen to Snot- Snot!!!
Robert Plant? He's more like a rock version of Tiny Tim. He even resembles Tiny Tim.
Spiritually the Darkness has a ton of Rick James.
Justin has a really good yt channel. I never made a connection to Led Zeppelin though. Interesting
I was thinking Peter Frampton.
The darkness are a bright light in the decade music died.
He sing high
REACT TO ARCHITECTS - SEEING RED!!!🤘🤘🤘
Please react to "Anna Molly" and "Warning" by Incubus and please watch the video!
🖤The Darkness!!!! Please react to 'Is It Just Me?' original video!!!!
Yes please!!
No one reacts to their much better song called get your hands off my woman, its a banger.
Yeah that and Black Shuck are my favourites from Permission To Land.
Permission to Land is just a great album, start to finish.
Bryan Adams is great. I love "I Wanna Be (Your Underwear)" by him. Should do a react to it if you don't know it.
Justin has a reaction channel. He did a long interview with Ren.
I think you were thinking of Yo Gabba Gabba.
The song is hard…
It's such a shame that peopke get stuck on this song, however good it is.
Try Barbarian, Open Fire, Rock and Roll Must Die...
Bloody brilliant!
...Led Zeppelin?
MTV used to kick ass. 💀
I remember a guy who tried to pick up a girl by singing this song, failing the falsetto so hard we all felt bad for him... but it was fun :P
MORE DARKNESS PLEASE EVERYONE LIKE THIS FOR A YES!!!!
