Anima Prime has been attacked by a generic evil corporation looking to hunt dragons and grind up anima for profits! The wizards aren't happy about their new neighbours and have put together a plan to carefully craft relationships, marriages, and births to eventually create the ULTRA WIZARD, capable of defeating their foes once and for all!
This is a Magic VS Tech style playthrough where we play the Magic side of things. Enemy factions raid with drones, tanks, mechs, and your standard mechanoids, but on your side you have an abundance of psycasting mods, genes, and wizardly equipment. Everyone, no matter what faction, will be touched by the planets magic in some form, and will be born new and powerful genes which you can collect and inherit through your own colony!

Also maybe the one bed to sleep with all mod would be usefull that makes so they take turns in beds (assign as a polygamy bed and then select master the one with multiple lovers)
Suggestion: None mages should only wear butler and maid uniforms (and possibly a guard uniform but then again, combat maids kinda feel appropriate). That way we can easily identify who is who and everyone can see who is in charge. Might also be worth later to use dye on robes of the wizards in select colours based on their skills instead of using those tiny signs on the portrait.
I think this theme would be perfect for some visual storytelling. :)

@@Sirfinchyyy Yuck, no way. A wizard community with butlers and maids is still kinda cool but Sam is not going for the Warhammer aesthetic here.
It is better to have the wizards differ the color of their robe by what magic they have and rank maybe by how large and ridiculous hats they wear (that is more Discworld but it works).
An archwizard hat is kinda a must.
We already seen that Grignr series that is a mix between Wow and D&D, a lot of edgelords there.

No one said a tower had to be built upwards necessarily, remember that mod from the snow white series that let you dig onto the underground? You could make an UNDERGROUND WIZARDS TOWER,which would make sense since these are wizards who just survived getting blasted to hell and back so bad that their powers haven't recovered
Z-levels? Oh mate, that thing is very finicky. I ain't sure if it even works standalone, not to mention putting it in such a big modpack.

@@callumjones2417 It's not that it doesn't work at all, it's that it tries to force a functionality this game was never supposed to have. I have heard about it corrupting saves, causing massive slowdowns and not being compatible with half of the workshop.
It does work, it does allow you to dig down and is stable enough to have a series built around it, just don't complain when something breaks.
I also don't believe Z-Levels has been updated in... awhile

Reminder that the Gargantuan Lithops on this map are your source of renewable steel and stone chunks. They are the lumpy looking flowers with yellow hairs.
Base suggestion: Make the base just one giant wizard tower, it has a few open points for farms or recreation but the overall idea is basically a magic complex fitting everything into one giant circle
Two suggestions for Colony names (Because I always start watching series at episode 2 for some reason)

Alternatively be aspirational, you have a group that revere Dragons, likes Dragons, learned from Dragon and wants Dragons to be around again fighting against anti-dragon forces......

Also: If you want to go down that route I could see the wizards go either way: Have normal humans as slaves who do all their work for them *or* invite non-magic users to the base and work together. The wizards give them protection and make them stronger and for that the humans work for them. Symbiotic relationship.

Like, you make progress on magic and technology by pondering your orb? The secrets of the universe are within the orb? You build up an divination room of linkables in order to be more ponderous with your orb?

I just realized this man creates lore for these worlds that would be amazing to use in dnd. Like he has lore fore factions, ranks within those factions, and custom ideologies. MrSamuelStreamer I am here by requesting do people have permission to use the worlds you generate and the lore they have to play dnd or any other ttrpg

hey it's like one of the plots of Dune XD breeding over centuries to make a super powered person.
Boomalope seems like the most sensible choice for a famaliar for pyromancers.
So the Medieval Overhaul mod, for whatever reason, has an issue where it will leave random bits of arcanium, books, and I think medicine on the ground when you walk into new maps, including any maps for quests. It makes getting arcanium fairly easy overtime... But depending on what you wanna do you might just want to make sure you are not picking it up as you play if you don't want to come but it easily.

why is there actually no wizard tech? Like magic crafting tables, that can craft stuff by itself (with magic/mana as fuel ofc, mana crystals would be a thing here). Or Magic brooms that clean (reskinned cleaning bot and charging station(magic) would do that). Or general actual magic stuff, floating stuff, self moving stuff, walking houses, self building houses(ok that one might be a bit hard:D) etc?
some other wizard stuff that could make it into a mod:
wizard freezer that keeps stuff cool with cold magic (need colonist with ice magic focus to recharge)
same as above but a campfire/cooker with fire magic
Could to planter pots that need wizards with earth, nature and water magic (either 3 wizards with each or 1 with all 3) to automatically grow plants, could automate the harvest too

My lore guess for why Rambunkulus could have the lowest Magical Attunement in spite of previously being archmage is that he probably burnt it all out by casting the magic shield spell.

I have a chronomancer in my current colony. It's not generations, we just DESPERATELY need to invent birth control. You can use the age and unage spells to do some really goofy things.
1. Instantly aging a kid to 21 is worse than a growth vat and you end up with a pawn that has no traits and 0s in every skill. This can be helpful if you lean really hard into gene modding and everything good about the pawn is in their genes, but it's usually really bad.
2. You can age someone back into a kid to farm traits, but it's insanely buggy. Sometimes you get stuck with a pawn unable to do any work type.
3. Chronomancers are immortal with some micromanagement. Aging another pawn will de-age the caster. You can end up with a weird time vampire thing going on where the chronomancer steals the youth of all the useless prisoners.
Chronomancer is one of my favorite trees from VPE, just because of the bizarre utility and weird strategies it brings to the table.
Chronomancy and Deathshield create an unusual interaction where the normally instantly lethal heart attack can be treated. In one colony I had a prisoner who (I think killed one of my colony kids) was entombed in the depths of the mountain, and periodically we would perform age-manipulation rituals to keep the entire colony young, at the cost of functionally turning them into a still-living mummy, just a husk locked away in the rock, unable to move, just withering away and prevented from dying as their life force was siphoned but never depleted.
That is INCREDIBLE
