- A 1967 Karmann Ghia the has a Viper V-10 transplanted into it...I first shot this car at Detroit Autorama 2013...but I was not able to get a clip of it running....At SEMA 2013 I was able to get this short clip of it running....very cool....Check it out!!!...Make sure you follow me so that you don't miss any of the other awesome videos I shot at this show!!

Swapping that V10 into that Ghia is just very cool and a good choice. No other engine would have been as good.

Thanx for bringing us this great angle of a beautiful and unique automobile! You do a great job sir in documenting a wide range of beautiful and cool cars and I've enjoyed your videos for years. One suggestion if I may though. Perhaps you need to bring an assistant or maybe a mean looking bodyguard or two with you to these large events. I attend many such affairs myself and when I see someone is filming I stop and try to stay out of the way. I realize that there's a degree of crowding that goes on but there also seems to be a degree of "too bad' that happens too. I've seen some of the video equipment that you use so there's no mistaking what you're doing by anyone in your vicinity. Most folks seem very considerate but there are always those few who are just as annoying as all get out. Keep up the good work my friend. It is appreciated!

I own two ghias a 71 targa and a 73 convertible. Your car looks good I don't care for the total of what was done, if you had placed a v-6 in the rear of the car I would have liked it better
The two tone paint is not to my liking the car is fine for a non ghia frame car with a ghia body on top.

@@ScottieDTV ...i just recently purchased a 64' Ghia, original yellow paint with a lot of patina.
Fair interior, and it runs like its new a really good starting point to a restoration.
Only gave 3G's for it, haven't had it a week...im not gonna do this too it though, lol!

Don't ya just find it interesting that there is always at least one person that sees you shooting a video, but still finds it necessary to step into your shot and just stand there? How many times has this happened to other people?
lol...It's so bad now..Because they know the channel and think they will make the final cut video....It's a real problem...Kills the shot...Start over....Then they want to cuss Me for backing into them...while they just stood their ground like they owned it...lol..smh I can't tell you how it makes me crazy!!

Absolutely stunning car.
Only turn off is that it sounds an awful lot like the old Hoyt-Clagwell tractor from the farm of Oliver Wendell Douglas (Green Acres) on a bad day.

if you think about it a ghia cost around 10k euros you can a lot spend to modified it. But this one insane and awesome love it. V-10 in a Ghia... i dont know how to start you have to mod everything. Das ist sowas von krass

Yeah chop topped would make it flow better would hate to touch it now with the paint like it is 😐 the top is a little high but nevertheless a beautiful build!

I think if I had the choice of a supercar up to $250.000 not knowing what this cost I would pick this gem. I am sure hours to build labor alone one of a kind this is worth more. BadAss Ride 😆😆😆

That is a beautiful Karmann Ghia..the only thing I would do different is put a Porsche engine in it instead of that V-10. Thanks for sharing Scottie.
this car is made to put big engine u cant put a v6 whit no sound in a machine like this its not a car to do lap time fast is made to make soud at idle like it is

A Porsche engine in this would make it sound better and speaking of speed..it would go a lot faster and it would keep it true to it's origin. It's no different than guys putting GM engines in a Ford.

Yes, I saw this vid too... before the one I commented on. I just thought it was very disappointing that the engine compartment wasn't shown in the latter vid.

Still one of the worst sounding engines, they should have put an LS7 C6 Corvette Z06 engine in it, It sounds so much better than the twin 5 cylinder Viper engine! and is less than half the size and weight!
