I think it would be nice to get/find/make a Ghia kit for a Generation II Beetle. Yes, yes, I know, it would be a Wanabe Karman Ghia, but it would still be cool.
Good question, let's hope one day he finds this video and he can answer. I made this video after asking him if I would've been able to find his creation online and he replied: No, never! So, I wanted other people to see what he had put together. A really nice car with so many features and a great guy to talk to.
@@RitmoMotion It's rather an extreme custom. I liked the moonroof addition, that is not an easy task. I just got done restoring my 69 stock Ghia and that was a hard restoration and I did it all myself. Body work and paint and everything else. He just does not look like the type of person who would do the actual body work and paint himself. He looks like a fabricator to me. Thanks for sharing.
anyone living in the Carmel Valley, has many millions of DOLLARS, and why not buy something like a Ferrari, which will appreciate, and I would love to see this car make the smog cut, in californium.....LOL ....NO WAY......
I'm surprised he put such a big engine in it. I love the horse power in it, but the rest is a bit too modern for me. He would have been better off just buying a used Porsche.
I could not agree more. Why spend a fortune to ruin a classic car and produce a near-copy of a more recent everyday one that would cost a lot less to buy ready-made at your nearest used car lot?
If everyone thought that ignorantly no one would watch any of your videos because you're just producing copies of "My Classic Car". Far be it for the guy to enjoy a hobby with you and so many used car lots around.
Would have looked better with stock vw seats and old style one piece bumpers , mirrors and no roll bar and spoiler. Looks like a 16 or 17 year old design not a older man !
@@ryanrevis827 I have restored 1969 Ghia. I’ve had since 2005. It has a 1906 in it with dual 44’s with a performance trans. Jealous? Maybe you’re just like him.
Beautiful build. The color is incredible. Well done.
Mr Phillips, you did a great job building that,Carmen Ghia...whether you build more or not...its all good❤❤😊
It's beautiful Mr. Phillips! Well done!
Nice video. So cool to see so many modern features on the classic Ghia. Love it. Great work capturing it, thanks for sharing.
beautiful
Nice job mate.

On word, WOW.
That’s amazing
Built Not Bought!! Great Job!
thought it was a twin turbo but then I realized it was the reflection in the doghouse!
I did a full restoration on my '71 Ghia by myself. I have to admit that Craig's look better, but also, he looks like he lost a shirt restoring it😂
😆🤣
Wonder who did the body work prep and paint for him?

@@brucewayne2773 In the video the owner said he did the paint and bodywork himself.
@@RadRidesByCru You are correct sir, he did say he did the whole restoration himself. Guy has a lot of talent and time on his hands.
Always loved these cars. Great build with the original engine!!! But WHITE CARPERT???
What sunroof did he use, looks like tinted glass
well cool as up their with the blue mambo
I don't know about that....oranges to apples.
$100,000? I was thinking much more.
I would think the engine would be 15K to 20K. I thought that was very cheap.
Pretty standard body in my eyes , shaved bumpers and a spoiler
Some times those special parts you need are made of UNOBTANIUM!
ITS ABOUT THE CAR!!! SHOW THE CAR AT ALLLLL TIMES WHILE VOICE-OVER THE INFO!!!!!!!
😸
Color is too stealth. It blends into the background. Dare I say Blue or Red would be suiting?

I would have preferred to see more car and less owner on screen.
“l’ll never make another one for anyone.” (Because l don’t care about others but only me, myself, and l).
Wow, what an asshole statement.
Wait so in order to prove he cares he has to give up something he created? How’s that work? Sounds jealous to me
