Absolutely incredible, hats off to all who built this gem.
Agreed....Glad You liked it!!
Undoubtedly the most beautifully put together Karman Ghia that _ever_ saw the light of day!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💓
lol..I'm a fan too!!
The wildest, best ever Karmann Ghia I've ever seen. Awesome build thanks Scottie.
You're welcome Brother...I'm a fan to!!!
This kind of project stirs up the little boy in all of us. A monumental build that works well and looks great.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Now that you mention, has anybody ever built a Karmann-Ghia with the engine in this configuration but then the front wheels moved at the back and cockpit turned around so that the original rear engine configuration was restored? It would look like the car goes on reverse. The back becomes the new front.
And girl... lol. I remember dad talking about Karmann Ghia's and seeing them as a kid. First time I've ever seen the name written so at first I didn't really read the name and had no idea until he said it. Pretty damn cool!
@@Sylkenwolf My father had a Karmann Guia TC, that video brings back my childhood.
This is in a league of it's own....thanks for checking it out!!
Just amazing. Reminds me of the insane Viper V10 that they shoehorned into a motorcycle frame many years ago, the Tomahawk. Supposedly capable of "over 400mph", it technically is not a motorcycle because there are 4 wheels, but they are right next to each other in the front and back. ua-cam.com/video/1XehkMQpeyA/v-deo.html

Been watching car shows on TV and reading car mags for many years, and it never ceases to amaze me the talent and craftmanship we have in good ole USA! Well done guys!
I agree!!
To me that's one of the best looking car bodies from all-time
Cool.....Hope you enjoyed this one!!
ScottieDTV Sure i did, do they fix or build vehicles? My dad past away a few months ago and I'm keeping his 72 ford f250 the truck is en mexico I'm going to bring it in 2 weeks i live in los angeles
Predator7 7 They do.....I also have others that do that to...
ScottieDTV I live in orange co. Regarding the 72 f250 I'm planing for full or 75% restoration,I own a Ford Raptor armored maybe when i bring the f250 maybe you can recommend one of your places👍
Predator7 7 Sure....Let me know!
I would LOVE to see that piece of art running on the road.
It mostly gets run on the track...
I would imagine it’s alot of fun in the corners.
UrbanSix1Niner innocently Cooper
The track between the showroom to the trailer
@UrbanSix1niner.. exactly what it is.. PIECE OF ART!!!
As a civil engineer myself, I love to see things that are beautifully designed and manufactured, the design and workmanship put into this is as good as I have ever seen for anything, absolutely amazing work with the added madness of having a V10 in the Ghia. I absolutely love this car 😂😍
Right on...I'm a fan too!!
That is beautiful!
I love all Karmann Ghias, but this is definitely one of my top favorites! Flawless body work.
My Dad used to have a Karmann Ghia with a Porsche engine in it. It was QUICK!
BillyBob Keith Cool!...Glad you liked this one!
bill Yvon Keith CT bhu
Those colors look so sweet together. One very pretty car. Never seen one this detailed. Such a sweet ride.
The absolute finest ghia on the globe...props!!
That is one gorgeous custom build. Nice job guys
No doubt....I'm a BIG fan of this one....
All my respect to the Mambo Brothers, this Karmann Ghia is a respectable piece of Artwork, the interior reminds me of a Pagani Zonda..... Thanks for sharing Scottie.
Right on...Glad you liked it!!
That's exactly what I was going for with my '72 (at least in my head) - that's a beauty Scottie...thanks for sharing.
I'm from Brazil and unlike most people here in my country I don't like Volkswagens, but this one is just spectacular and with an American V10 heart! With regard to customization, man You are on another level !!!! congratulations
I just shoot the videos....Glad You liked it!!
Very nice work.
Respect.
I love it when someone does something unique to a car and this is a perfect example!!!!!
STUDEBAKER!!!
Now that's turning a snail into a beast!! Love this ghia, viper v-10, will always be the first ever & theres nothing out there like it. Thanks scottie!!
No Problem....glad I could bring it to you...and these Guys Rock..so glad ppl like the car..
I love this car... I've always loved and wanted a Karmann Ghia...beautiful!!!!
Right on..I'm a fan to!!
Very beautiful car!
Carlton Hall Way cool for sure!!!
I had a late 60s stock Karmann Ghia when I was young! Nothing like this!!! WOW!!!
Thanks for checking this one out here!!
I'll never look at a Carmann Gia the same again after watching this! Jaw dropping work
That thing is pretty astounding.
It would have been interesting to see how the car would have looked with the original flat four engine in this, but I must admit, that V10 up front does look amazing!
The car itself looks incredible!
Great work guys!
I wish I could put my dad’s VW Bug he built back in the early 70’s when I was 5/6 years old.
327 V8 crossram intake, Muncie 4 speed. Since it was made back then it has a black shag carpet interior with vinyl diamond tuck panels and roof. Hurst shift with the two finger reverse lockout. Clarion stereo with integrated CB radio. 4 wheel disc brakes. Dual exhaust comes out of original spot but turned and flared 30 degrees left and right. Black with large metal flake paint. Flared fenders and a Darth Vader like grille opening in the hood. Car is just badass and still has the best engineering for being over40 years old.
Sits on a modified Austin Healy chassis.
In the 80’s he installed a 383 and a B&M low profile blower.
Sounds cool!
You never fail to surprise Scotty! Amazing vehicle!
Cool!!...lol...I'm a BIG fan of this one too!
those frontlights.. :D everytime i drive on the autobahn and i see those lights in the dark, i instantly drive over to the right side, expecting a porsche.. and than a mini diesel passes :D
+Jörn Hartmann lol...
Great vid man. Thanks for taking the time to record this for us. As a ghia guy I think they did justice to the car. They started with a pretty cool car design and made it even better and more unique. That car has got to RIP with all the HP.
Lovely I've always loved the shape of these cars. It's just simply amazing.
The automotive imagination never ceases to amaze me. The automotive beauty that results from it is outstanding.
I agree....
One of the finest cars I've seen Nice job !!!
Cool build for sure...Glad You liked it!
Karmann Ghia's are one of my top favourite car bodies of all time. I just can't get behind this build. Thank you for sharing non the less. :)
Your welcome!
Completely agreee
This car is absolutely beautiful. I wouldn't change a single thing. Much respect to all involved with the project and thank you for sharing the video.
My pleasure...I'm a big fan my self!!
Man I liked this video so much had to see this Ghia again and add to it: These guys that built this car from scratch to finish gotta be recognized! The car is a master piece work of art and they should be entered into the Ghia hall of fame!! Thanks again Scottie Best Video.
lol..I hear ya Brother...They killed it!!
I love when people do extreme builds like this. Amazing work and car. My question is where the hell do people get the money from to do shit like this? So beautiful.
They work hard everyday....I don't think I have ever shot a lottery winner....
Great work...
I agree!!
a true work of art on wheels. congratulations!!!!
This is the first Karmann Ghia I've ever liked. Cool find glad you filmed it.
1967 Karmann Ghia V-10 "Blue Mamba" Running SEMA 2013 I was able to catch it running..
One thing is that car a stick or not ??????????????????
RJ MORTON yes. I saw the car at Lime Rock, and the quality is amazing
Brian Ach Increadible?...This is one awesome build for sure!!
ScottieDTV
You got that right :)
RJ MORTON Just won award from Lokar...I think...Locar....it was a engineering award...
Amazing car all around, great build. I cant believe this has 206 Thumbs Down.
206 idiots...lol...Glad you liked it
Because it doesn’t run
406 fucktards now
Those thumbs down guys are probably from Australia where everything is upside down.
Some people don't like mixing engines and body from different companies.
Shoehorning a V-10 in just about anything is pretty ballsy. A VW Karmann Ghia? That's mad scientist crazy. I can only imagine the time, money, blood, sweat and tears this little car has in it. Just an outstanding job by everyone that was involved in that project. Truly a unique car.
This is an incredible build. The execution of this concept is stellar.
I agree...Very cool build for sure!!
If I had a million I'd buy or have one made,I'm in love.
lol..Cool!
A Volkswagen deveria relançar o Karmann Ghia é um carro que nos fez muito sucesso nos anos 70 seguido do puma que foi um outro carro também que deveria ter um remake
Cool!
PUMA is up to make te remake of their car, the PUMA LUMIMARI, with an motorization that has 2.5 liters, and will not use the bad VW 1.6 air cooled of BEETLE, right now they are testing an version of race of it, to transfer the race upgrades to the street car.
Outrageous! What kind of crazy would put a Viper V-10 engine in a Karmann Ghia? Love it.
lol....Really a Guy You wouldn't guess...Very cool but understated....
This can only be made in the USA......its simply stunning.....you guys in the USA are the best ......well done to all....kind regards Danny UK
Thank you...Glad you liked it!!
Insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol...way cool for sure....
The Coolest Karmann Ghia
I agree!!
When my boy was still quite young, BUT old enough to 'understand' motor cars, I (in jest, but w/a straight-face) told him that K-G's were FINE sports cars. He laughed SO hard that he almost puked.
Amélie Renoncule lol...
My Mother has always wanted one, we had to talk her down in 1975 to a Firebird, she drives a Mini Rag Top now,
Every time she spies another one on the road she pipes up "Mini!" as we roll our eyes in contempt.
An amazing work on that car WOW great work from everyone involved...
Thanks for the great vids I can't imagine how fun driving this thing.
WOW! This is the perfect mixture of brilliance mixed with insanity that creates legendary automobiles
For sure!...Glad you liked it!
Bad ass!!!!
I agree!
Why does everything these days have to be Badass ???? what ever happened to SEXY ?????

Karmann Ghias go these days average for about $8,000, I'm willing to give you $10, 000 for it. LOL Just kidding, but that is one badass Ghia, best one I've seen....

I wish it was all black but to each their own

Thanks for checking it out...Glad You liked it!!
That is one cool build.Great job to all builders involved that's a grand slam in my opinion.
+Chris W I agree...I'm a BIG fan too!
Great car but lose th3 snake eyes on the valve covers.
What? Start it? No, we just spent 4 years and a half million bucks so we could stare at it and hopefully bring home a $9 plastic trophy.

Your welcome...Glad You liked it!!
Am I really the only one who's upset that they defiled a classic vw
Yes...lol
ScottieDTV ug it's terrible they took one of the most elegant cars in history and chopped it up to make it another water pumper hotrod with an engine that doesn't belong in it
Caleb harris yep and I want one
Come on guys they come with an engine that makes them a dog they're nice looking cars but they do not have any performance at all they may look fast but they're not you at least have to put a Porsche engine in them
On the other hand, where would this Karmann Ghia likely be if they hadn't rescued it from wherever?
I need a full video on this vehicle alone please, at their garage. I'd love to see their work underneath with the vehicle on a lift. What is shown in the video is so outstanding, I just can't get enough! I need more!!!
Cool!
