I did add a preservative to the base (2 drops). Also adding 1 tsp of Isododecane or Isododecane Remix to the base before it firms will prevent breaking ( this is very optional) I will list them both below! And yes it is still vegan

Love your videos! You've inspired me to try my hand at making my own. Question: I assume you ship finished lipsticks to customers, have you ever had issues with them melting in transit? Do you package them in any particular way to prevent spillage if they do melt in transit?
Thank You! I find that using the metallic bubble mailers (any color) do an amazing job a keeping the products from melting. I’ve used them to ship all of my lip products including the lipstick bases and they worked like a charm over the years.
I love all your videos! How many lipsticks can you get from the base recipe? How long does the base keep? Does it have to be refrigerated?
Thank you 💕 it makes 10-12 lipsticks (the one demonstrated in this video) But the 8 oz bullet base for purchase makes 10. I do add a preservative (Preservative Cap 2 , 2 drops) and no it does not have to be refrigerated when stored, only when you’re making the actual bullet once it’s placed in the mold💕

vitamin e oil is not necessary in lipstick making?? can we use vitamin e as antioxidant?
I know im late with my comment but instead of using different Concentrates say I like the color of one concentrate can I just use the one or do I have to mix multiple colors?

If you are making the liquid lipstick without using the lipstick mold is there need for isododecane
What if you replaced one of the waxes with beeswax? What would happen to the formula?

You can use the powder but it requires more mixing and the wax will form really fast. It’s possible you’re so very welcome 💕
What is the name of the pink thing u were using
Can you add the colors to the base when you are first melting it? Like before it solidifies. Or does it make a difference to let the base cool, then add the color then boil again?
Do you add the preservative during the mixing of the base or when you start add the colors? That shade looks bomb on you

Hi 💕1/2 tsp of Kaolin clay might work it does a great job absorbing the oils. Makingcosmetics.com has it I believe

Question: with the liquid lipsticks we are always using isododecane or isododecane remix to make it more matte. Now I’m addicted to using isododecane remix lolz. Is it a good idea to substitute it for some of the oils to make the bullet lipstick more matte? Thank you!!!
Missy xox you know what sis❤️ I honestly haven’t mastered making the bullets matte but if I had to guess I would say to balance out those oils with adding more powder color additives with a combo of clay (kaolin) to kinda absorb them
