Awesome video. This is my diff. Glad I could be so helpful, lol. Can't wait to get the new setup back and installed. Save me from this differential purgatory that I'm in.
I really appreciate you breaking this in the perfect way to use as am example for the community lol. We will get you a fresh setup that won't leave your stranded.
Those grooves (teeth) prevent the caps from walking axially. The cap still needed to lift in the radial direction to allow the ring to shift outward. Interesting video.
No it will slide and break the threads. They are cast. We have had many caps push the bearing adjustment nut out and break them threads. Causing backlash to change and the diff to explode.
I’m curious. Would it be possible just to weld the caps permanently in the stock position? I know the diff won’t be serviceable afterwards but if it breaks it would be toast regardless 🤷🏾♂️
Hi, and thanks for a great video! :-) Will it be possible to buy the 4 pinbolts somewhere or will it be neccessary to have them made? I live in Denmark, Europe, so it will be too expensive to have the pumpkin shipped to you :-) Further, are the boltholes perfect aligned so it will be possible to make the holes bigger with a rival-tool? thanks
I have no problem shipping kits over seas. The holes only need to be reamed out a few thousands of an inch. I include instructions with the kits. Shoot me an email at HRMotorsports@yahoo.com and we can get a kit headed your way.
We have several cars running at that power level with no issues. One is running a dog box, which is by far the worst case scenario. I think it would work great for your setup. Shoot me an email to HRMotorsports@yahoo.com!
My diff is clunking when turning at low speeds but everything still seems to work fine. Do you think somthing like this is beginning or the lsd sticking?
If you had a machined 2x or 4x 1/4" inch x 3/8" inch long dowel pin holes both top & bottom & either side of the 2 bolts so that you could put in 4x 1/4" inch x 3/4" long dowels in then it would stop any sideways movement of the clamping surfaces then that part would not fail. I was a Toolmaker by trade & putting in Dowel pins in the bearing clamps on one side of the 2 bolts or both sides of the 2 bolts gives you precise alignment of gears & bearings together with your stronger thicker bolts would make the housing near unbreakable for the cheap price of dowel pins & not add very much weight.
I also have a tool and die degree. Unfortunately there is no room to add a dowel. We looked at all the options and this one the best and most affordable.
@@justinkelly9489 Okay, my mistake, I thought I seen at least one inch by one inch either side of the bolt holes, I must have been looking at it incorrectly.

how much hp/nm are you running?
This kit still for sale? Based in Scotland and running a turbo k24 hoping to make 450whp
Absolutely. Shoot me an email at HRMotorsports@yahoo.com.
Awesome video just blew my diff am I S 2000 this video helped a lot thank you keep it up!
how much power was the car to make this fail?
im running 470 bhp and wondering if stock diff can take it

This is awesome. Is there a website yet?
There is not. Shoot me an email at HRMotorsports@yahoo.com

Interesting.... that's a super easy upgrade with minimal risk of failure.. do the studs need to be replaced if the caps are removed??
You do not. They are not tq to yield, so you can reuse them.
Nice work.
Hmmm will this fix my abusive drifting
good work! nice kit!
Are you guys offering this as a service? The video seems to allude to that. I am interested if it is an option.
Yes. We have several options. Shoot me an email at HRMotorsports@yahoo.com.
you guys still building s2000 diff's?
Yes absolutely. Please shoot me an email at HRMotorsports@yahoo.com.
Hi what's the information on the stud kit for the bearing caps?
What's your site?
Website is currently being built. Shoot me an email at HRMotorsports@yahoo.com and we can go over the details!
What is your turn around time now?
Currently 15 business days
@@teamkellyracing1700 what’s the cost?
Do they want to sell the reinforcements and bolts off that?
Yes we sell the kit separate as well. Shoot me an email at HRMotorsports@yahoo.com and I'll get you setup.
@@teamkellyracing1700 the comptech cap pieces?
Great job send out my diff soon
Would this handle a boosted f22 with a dct? 500-600hp looking to see what my options are. I believe the dct maybe result in less shock but not sure.

Typically it's the pinion sleeve crushing too far from load and the gears getting excessive backlash. Our kit would bring that back into spec.
Where can I buy the kit?
Hey Cody, shoot me an email to HRMotorsports@yahoo.com and I'll get you setup.

The caps should have ears going down into the inside so they can't push apart.
Good morning, do you have an email I could reach you i would like to have my s2000 differential sent to you for the kit to be installed
J racing makes the collar and shim set for s2000 for some time now, so this adds the studs? I’m guessing both are points of failure?
Yes exactly. The caps moving is one of the most common faolures, but the pinion sleeve is also known to fail.
Looks like a good solution but 350usd for four bolts...
They are studs, and that includes machining the caps to accept the larger studs and a solid pinion collar.
Hello, i have send you an e-mail, i would like to buy a set😁
What email did you use. I have not seen anything. Please send to HRMotorsports@yahoo.com.
