- It's 80s SLASHER review time, and I'll bet most of you haven't seen this one. HELL HIGH. A film that was almost lost in time, but thanks to Arrow, it finally saw the light of day. Most unique slasher ever? #HellHigh

The slasher I know nothing about? I have this on Blu-ray and DVD! Love these slashers! Glad you like it, Lee!
Awesome Mikey!
I remember watching this way back in the day on Showtime and I loved it as a kid. I was so happy when Arrow released it on Blu-ray
I could see this being on Showtime back in the day.
Yeah this came on the tail end of the slasher craze of the 1980s.
I really enjoy these old early 80's/late 70's deep cut reviews of yours, Lee. That is my favorite era as well! And I also love to learn the behind the scenes trivia. Been catching up and listening to your reviews all day! Longtime fan, but don't usually comment a lot. But thanks for all you do. We are usually on the same page with horror movies, so I appreciate you and wish you much success.
Wow thank you so much Luke! Appreciate that man. These are my favorite type of reviews.
Current day movies can learn a lot from watching a movie like this. !! Loved it !
Indeed!
Yeah, there’s always someone more twisted than you are, and if you go looking, you’ll find out just how much.
this film is an october tradition for me and my friends, super cool to see you cover it!
It was so fun to cover.
Hey Lee, have you seen Poison for the fairies? Vinegar syndrome release a new edition and it's the one shudder got this month.
It's slow but oh how i love it.
No never heard of it. You have my attention!
I've never heard of this one, Lee! I will have to check it out!
Definitely do!
Hey Lee!! Thanks for this! Always looking for 80's horror...I don't remember this one!
Welcome Rick!
Love the deep dive slashers you cover, brings new life to people who haven't seen these classics!
Thank you!
I'm a day late to this review but, I just needed to say, the students stalking the teacher reminded me of "Class of 1984" (1982).
Ooh great comparison .
I thought the very same thing.
Hey brother it's been awhile, hope you are doing great and keep the passion for continuing to make these badass videos. All the best brother.
Thank you man!
Now I just want to watch a horror version of Dazed & Confused. Instead of just hazing the freshmen, the seniors go full Purge.
Dazed is one of my favorites.
Great review LEE. This Blu-ray is awesome I'm glad they gave it the Royal Treatment because the DVD was in full frame and the picture quality is nowhere near this. I love this movie I love that it's a little off the beaten path. I was hoping you mentioned the score and the songs they were very catchy and memorable.
Yeah bro Arrow never disappoints.
I love these in depth reviews of older titles! Saw this for the first time a few years years ago and loved it! Bat shit crazy haha. Different in a great way. Great job Lee keep up the good work....I love this stuff!
Thank you Shawn! I'll keep em coming.
Hey Mr. Lee
I’m Pretty Sure
I Never Saw This
I’m Definitely Gonna Have To Try & Watch This
I would love for you to see the Dorm That Dripped Blood! It’s definitely a 80s slasher fun time! It also changes some rules in it too! 😉
Hey Gabe! Funny enough, my son got me that one for Christmas last year. Definitely covering it soon.
@@DrumdumsMovieReviews whoo hoo! It def has its issues like all 80s movies. But it’s a fun one!
This was a good movie. Not a typical slasher but really enjoyed it for what it is. Very underrated.
Yeah. Refreshing.
Blimey a 80's slasher i knew nothing about, awesome review Lee I'll definitely have to check this one out.
Enjoy TL!
Have you seen a slasher movie from 1982 called "The Slayer"? Underrated and pretty good would recommend but not much else i can say without going into heavy spoiler territory
I just watched the Slayer last night awesome movie and great atmosphere
No but I'm curious. Wasn't another popular slasher also names "The Slayer"?
I remember this one 🤣 was always on TV as a kid in early 2000s, was on some weird TV station that was basically Call in to Play a movie or order the movie for it to be played on the weekend on that same station. UK TV here is weird 😂😂😂 For yearssssssss I thought nobody else know what this movie was 😮 8/10 from me 🙏
Haha yes I could see this on one of those weird stations.
Right id tell folks about it. They alway say teaching ms. Tingle.. id sayy nooo now i got the name of the movie.
I got to check it out
Bruh.. The way she yeeted herself out the window 🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha right?!
Thanks Lee. Never heard of this one. I will check it out.
Welcome Rick!
Vaguely remember this movie & yeah; a young Christopher Cousins...."character actor", I've seen in various other minor projects. The last act violence is the best part - a female lead meltdown "badie".
He's a great character actor.
Lee I love this movie. Aarow video did a great job on it. I like that it's different and refreshing love it. Hell High is awesome. Great review Lee
Hell yeah love Arrow video!
I just noticed your Tee shirt . That’s awesome. I love that movie.
One of my favorite comedies.
Never even heard of this. Ill have to watch this tonight 🤘
Enjoy!
The girl playing Queenie was also very good. Unfortunately her career didn't blossom either. Think this is her second and last film credit
Yeah she was the director's girlfriend. I liked her. She reminded me of Nancy Keys Loomis.
Finally i found this movie.. i had the cast members all mixed up. I would mention this movie as a teacher that got tortured by her students, theyd always say teaching ms tingle. Id say nooooo. Lol i swore i was like 8 or 9. I swore it was the teacher from.3 o'clock high and the teen from adventures in babysitting. I knew it had a jock. Found it thru google
Thank you for suggesting this never heard of it looks pretty interesting.
Your welcome!
@@DrumdumsMovieReviews I finished it and I liked it I was rooting for all those teens to die they had it coming they were disgusting human beings lol and one jump scare towards the end got me I knew that certain character going up the stairs was gonna get it did not think it would that quick. I thought the ending was pretty good to and how it touches on trauma.
@@thecinemawithjames Haha yes they had it coming.
I remember this one! To any Breaking Bad fans on the channel, you might be able to spot a young Christopher Cousins (Ted Beneke) as the sole survivor.
Yep. Mentioned it in the review.
@@DrumdumsMovieReviews Cool dude! I couldn't remember if you were a Breaking Bad fan or not. Sorry I commented before watching the review. This movie made me afraid to mess with any of my teachers!
Chris Cousins was the voice of Cobra Commander on GI Joe: A Real American Hero & my favorite Decepticon, Starscream, on Transformers: Generation 1. Although, I'm probably thinking of the late Chris Latta who sometimes is billed as Chris Cousins.
Oh damn. Interesting!
You are thinking of Chris Latta. He appeared in episodes of Married With Children and Seinfeld.
Yes it Chris Latta. I just watch the G.I Joe animated movie from 87
Still finding gems from the 80’s.. Love it 😍👌
Thanks for watching!
Totally remember this movie being played on cinemax many years ago...the beginning with the little girl was probably the most disturbing thing about this movie..
Cinemax had some great deep cuts back in the day.
I recommend kill Theory (2009) it won't disappoint I guarantee you that
Hey, I watched S&TC too. Granted, I am part of the target audience for it, but still watched it, so yeah, I got the Mr. Bigg reference, Carrie's on again off again bf. As for this movie, it is indeed streaming somewhere, right here on UA-cam in fact. Found it while back, stumbling upon a channel with a bunch of older movies, sounded interesting, so put it in my movies playlist. Haven't watched it yet, but it is there. Sounds like I should check it out. Also, talking about 1980s slashers that seem to be forgotten, have you seen Night School from 1981 starring Rachel Wood? I did like that movie, even bought it cheap on UA-cam, but no one seems to talk about it. Anyways, thank you, Lee.
I just found out it was on UA-cam. And yes I was a big fan of Sex and the City.
I never knew this existed. I watch it last night, and I thought it was good, but dragged in the middle abit. Almost like they didn't know what to do to fill the time.
Christopher Cousins is a brilliant actor, and they all held their own. It was a clever film.
You should review: Silent Scream with Yvonne DeCarlo & Mutilator 80's slasher two of my favorites. They both are on Tubi.
It does have weird pacing for sure.
Closest to this would be Last House on the Left.
Yes for sure.
There are some that you may not have seen... can't say they're all great but... The Forest, Girls Nite Out, Humongous, Unhinged, Sweet Sixteen, Berserker, The Majorettes, Twisted Nightmare, Evil Laugh are all low budget 80s slashers.
Yeah there are still so many to cover.
Man, I did not expect a reference to Casualties of War.
One of those movies that made a deep impact on me when I watched it.
Sean Penn's performance and what they put that woman through.
Could never bring myself to watch more than that one time.
In regard to this movie that I am thinking about picking up.
Is this a mix of a slasher and r***/revenge movie?
Yeah man Casualties has always stayed with me. Highly slept on film.
Gotta do cutting class or cheerleader camp
Been thinking of doing Cutting Class.
Once again, you've sold me. Had to purchase....
You won't regret it Marc!
Just watched my Arrow Blu the other night. I didn't think of it as a typical slasher film but more of a prank/revenge film.
I could see that .
Also, Lee, do you know about a movie called Offerings, from 1989? 🤔 I always liked it, but it's probably the most blatant Halloween rip off in existence. It might as well be a Halloween remake! It's definitely better than some of the sequels. 😄
Yes I heard it's a straight up Halloween ripoff. Been meaning to watch it.
Just watched this movie about 3 weeks ago. A solid slasher.
Am I the only one who wishes they got to go to one of these beautiful east coast high schools?
Nice!
I thought this one was alright been along time since I've seen it.
So ironic that I almost watched this one the other night.
Nice!
I think there is a sequel its PG13 but awesome too.
Really?
@@DrumdumsMovieReviews damn i was thinking of Return To Horror High, 1987 Rated R . and Slaughter High 1986...LOL
Hey Drumdums. Do you Miss. Movie Poster Illustrations?
I love great movie posters in general.
@@DrumdumsMovieReviews Same Here😆❤️😊🖤.
Will you be doing a review on a fast X
Probably not. I didn't even see Fast 9.
@@DrumdumsMovieReviews fast movies are getting ridiculous
I paused your video right here after the motor cycle tragedy. So this now woman becomes said killer right? Almost guaranteed.
If you put hell high full movie can watch it free on UA-cam
Isn't that annabelle?
Haha no.
This a sequel to hell night?
No. Hell High and Hell Night don't have sequels.
@@DaveG777 that would been so cool
Not a slasher. Stick with Scream, Lee. You're outta your element.
Dude....out of my element? Do you know how many of these deep cuts I've covered. You do Scream. I'll handle this.
