So...what we have learned is that glorious is making a board and selling it for a thin margin, hoping to make it up on the other end with selling accessories. Seems about right. I have all that stuff, getting the board for the wife as her first board. It is a good way to start out.
most of their add ons aren't even marked up that high (keycaps, lube station, cables, etc are all the same price as the market) its just a few weird things like the switch opener, brush and switch/keycap pullers. I probably won't buy any of it as I already have other alternatives, but I can 100% justify buying the keycaps or the cables if you have this board or a colorway that matches.
Honestly the switch puller and keycap puller there selling should be included with the Pro. I purchased a keychron board for my pops and it came with similar keycap puller
Ha! I got GMMKs for the whole fam too. I think they are a good option to give to people who aren't into the hobby, but who you can't stand to see using a crappy membrane board. The price point isn't bad, and they support a decent level of customization without locking you in too much.
Honestly, I look forward to every single review you put out. Bravo to keeping honest and really saying what needs to be said! Pointing out prices and the shit people actually care about, bravo. Having already build my "End Game" board, it is still nice to watch reviews likes these come across the internet to show people all the options available.
Found your channel awhile back before building my first custom and I just have to say I love you videos. Thank you for always bringing a reasonable and sensible take on everything you review. I really feel like you let us know what we might be getting ourselves into before buying anything. Keep up the great work man!
Learned something new about the gmmk pro PC plate today. Thank you! I hope it's not so bad where the plate is unusable... Can't wait for all this to show up at my door!
THANK YOU. Those brushes and keycap puller pretty much take a couple cents to make. And mind you, lazer cutting machines aside, the acrylic plate that the lube station is made from costs LESS THAN 3 DOLLARS for a 18x24 inches per sheet (YES, THE LUBE STATION THAT YOU PAID 20-30 BUCKS FOR, TOOK LESS THAN 5 BUCKS TO MAKE). From the perspective of someone who had acess to an actual tool shop that is able to make these things, the mark up for these items are insane. I am not familiar with the molding process for the mechnical switches, but im sure they are cheap as hell to manufactor somewhere in Asia too. Its the only reason why "new" switches are coming out on a weekly basis. THEY. ARE. CHEAP. TO. MAKE.
This looks like a really cool setup. Seems like they have provided everything you need from one store. If you just want the experience or to get your feet wet in to a fully custom keyboard looks like a great way to start.
Thanks for all the great videos man, looking to get into the mech keyboard hobby and found your channel. Been binge watching your stuff for the last 4 days haha. Learned a lot and youve been super helpful.
One thing for sure I thought I was watching a sci-fi film because of the quality is awesome. The shots are really great but the content is also worth it.. thanks

Bro, you got a probe lens?! Edit: Ok after watching the whole video...jesus man, this might be my favorite video of yours. The attention to detail is blowing my mind, great job bro.
You killed it in this very descriptive and informative video BadSeed. I am kind of interested in this board and because of your in depth review, I can better contemplate whether or not this KB is for me now or wait for Glorious to address the con's and then maybe make the purchase. So thanks for the review BadSeed and looking forward to your next video.
I've been waiting for a good look at the cables. Thank you! Disappointing for the price, but every once in awhile I can't handle waiting. Something decent that arrives in two days?! Conviiiiinient.
I’m terrible at keeping organized and the screws weren’t too big of an issue for a new guy. We’ll see how I fair when my durock stabilizers get here this week and I gotta do it again. Poly carb plate is awesome too.
You know what, I've seen enough. I cancelled my pre-order. I still want the board but I'll let them work out the kinks first; it really never pays to get the first version of a glorious product.
@Jessie Smith haha, it's not about the accessories. He even mentions the issues with the stamped plates at the beginning, and I have a set of aftermarket durock stabs right here that I dont feel like playing the plate lottery with. I was set to use the brass plate because I have polycarb and allu plate boards already. Does the board have potential? Eventually yes, but it's not enough of a game changer to warrant me spending any amount of money on a 4-5th board that I don't need yet.
Finally! A reviewer with Man sized hands that I can relate with... My goodness watching what seems like 15 reviewers of this 75% Keyboard all with small or medium slim hands just can't get a visual for how it will fit my hands. There is a reason I prefer full sized KB's and or 10 keyless. I'm still not sold on this 75% business. Also, getting tired of people with small tiny weak hands and finger bitching about how hard it is the type on stronger springs, or tactile are tiring etc...
Solid content as always BST! My only final point of concern is whether or not QC will be as good for streamer boards as it will be for the thousands of others they ship out. I will wait for consumer reviews before finalizing my purchase. I honestly feel a lot of customs are way overrated and overhyped, there's way too much diminishing reductions. You're paying hundreds of extra dollars for that final 10% compared to just some slight modding of this board.
Nobody can deny that they dove into this market head on, I hope they iron out the minor issues and keep moving forward. Now it’s a matter of time to see if we get a razer black widow pro + or something that offers the same options from other competitors.
Thank you for the detailed video. Do you still feel that this is the best buy for the price. I will not pay over $250 for a keyboard. Its just not my price range. Thanks in advance.
While you're my fave reviewer in this space, everyone else said that the Poly plate is worth it, softer etc... Its just 20 bucks so I'll get it to try it out - worst case scenario is I got smoother RGB and an easier time adding aftermarket stabs :p Probably also getting their cable, lube station, brush (its got the ergonomic grib that lets you put it down without the brush head touching your desk), keycap and switch pullers... So much easier to one stop shop for my first build vs having to order from somewhere far far away. Switches and lube are the only things I'm looking to get from elsewhere, and maybe keycaps, depends if they gonna have ISO caps later on to go with the ISO board (placeholders till I find a GMK GB to join and get those.... so probably 2025)
Glorious really changing their whole good quality cheap price aesthetic considering you can buy most of the add-ons for half or even less than that, they did good on that lube station though.
fire vid as always man! gpbt keycaps look kinda eh, won't be getting those but i'm definitely adding the poly plate and some of those fire accessories!
Switch puller still is a greatly marked up, branded IC puller, those are 2 dollars a pop for the enduser and 50ct in bulk, they also dont rub off and are rubberized.
What are some good keycap options if I don’t have a budget? Don’t love the look of the GMMK ones and don’t mind spending money to get nice ones. I just don’t wanna have to wait 6+ months to get them. Very new to this so sorry if it’s a dumb question.
thank you for posting an honest review on this!!! was watching randomfrankp's vid on the same product and he was so fake haha. finally an honest reviewer. well done
I preordered a gmmk pro, estimated delivery end of June for NL/Germany it looks like. But I really get bothered by off center legends on keycaps and stuff like that so I am not sure what I should get for keycaps yet. Ended on getting the Gateron Aliaz switches, will be lubed and filmed (probably filmed). Your videos have gone from great to amazing btw. What macro lens do you use? is it the famous/popular probe lens from Laowa?
I noticed you reviewed all the accessories but didn't really mention the G Lube directly, just referenced it when talking about the lube station. Do you have a video planned for comparing it against similar lubes? e.g. 205g0, 3204, etc
Its actually a major plus v.s. the competition that Glorious went with plastic inners for the knob. Metal on metal could (and eventually will) lead to galvanic corrosion. Steel (the shaft) on aluminium (the knob) is particularly susceptible to this. You see this a lot in bikes and it isn't pretty. You can mitigate it with lube or something like Vaseline , but you would need to semi-regularly reapply it.
I'm honestly still thinking about this one. I've got the KBDfans 65%, but I'm missing my function row. I'd need a few more switches, but my keycap set would cover this, plus I've been wanting to try Durock stabs. Good looking out. Great video as always.
Thanks! I think the last thing for me to tackle would be a proper tuning guide. Like really build it out the way I would treat a high end custom. I want to spend some time on that though. Hamaji’s board sounds crazy nice in his video.
Brian, give the corsair pbt db shot pro keycaps a go. The quality is way above to what you get from say Razer pbt and most other commercial kc. Some masdrops are also good but i find that you are paying for exclusivity more then anything else.
I am looking to get one of these but I am torn on switches. I have been eying the holy pandas, do you know how well those work with this board? Would the glorious pandas be a better choice or something else? Thanks.
Do you have the ability to fit test other knobs that would be compatible with something like the satisfaction? I’m wondering if artisan knobs are a possibility for this board
As a beginner in the custom keyboard scene I see the GPBT keycaps for me, as I need the ISO-DE layout and I didn’t find a single good looking set. Kinda sad that even gmk, a German brand doesn’t make DE caps

So the consensus from most people seems to be, the actual board itself is great, the rest of the accessories/components are kinda over priced and lackluster? Big brain comment right there. I know nothing about their manufacturing costs and I would assume the same.
