@AbdullahArguer I wouldn't say so looking at the specs the typing feel looks very mid and the polling rate is only 1k low profile is niche and the software is horrendous

The only reason I don't buy the 80HE is the lack of wireless. You can make any wireless keyboard wired one by just plugging in the cable... Also RGB and pulling rate is adjustable. Then again, hall effect and high pulling rate is only usefull if you're a professional gamer, and then you might ask, are you a professional gamer because you use all this technology or are you a professional gamer because you're just that skillfull.

I loved the original V4 75%, but having to replace all of the Orange switches after 2 months was a bit annoying given the price of the keyboard. And I can promise you, they did not replace all the boards or switches. You can look in almost any Razer forum and see there are tons of people still dealing with this, and not receiving much help from Razer. $300 for this is a hard pass.
Got to compliment you on your honest opinion about the newer vs older board. I do like that visual screen and the versitility of it. But, yeah, the price/value of $100 more isn't worth that screen imo. Great video again...woof.
Quick note about the double clicking switches on the v4 75% from last year: I bought mine early this year, in February to be exact, and mine did come with those switches which I changed in March. Was not informed in any way, shape or form that they sent out replacement switches.
Such a cool custom board. I'd like to get one of these razer keyboards but... they're just so expensive for me right now. That kind of price, even when I get my situation back on track, is a commitment.
I always felt for a gaming keyboard less is more. Keep the multimedia function which general consumer enjoy and making sure battery life and performance is top notch, plus hotswap capability with different switch option with some backlighting is good enough. I think is just a perspective on what actually gamers need and how you can deliver a quality and very functional product at a competitive price. I think consumer are wiser on how they spend their money. Not more throwing money just because it is associated with a brand anymore.
I agree with you about living up to the price, etc. Very much happy with my original white Azoth. Armory Crate hasn’t given me any issues. The NX Snows feel amazing typing. It’s my daily

Bought a regular V4 with green switches about 3 months ago and it's already suffering from the double key issue. So it's definitely not a V4 75 or orange tactile switch only issue. Been looking around for a fix, however nothing helps. Lowering the polling rate to 500 results in less keys suffering from this issue, but it doesn't completely remove it. That's gonna be a big no thanks from me. giving my experience with the regular V4, reading all the posts about the same issue plaguing the V4 75 and V4 pro as well AND a whopping 299 price tag.

What's stopping you from using a standalone numpad? I do this a lot, and I really like not having to use where the mouse should be for a numpad ( much more comfortable/ergonomic), plus you can adjust positioning independently. Also allows for lefty numpad which I find more efficient once I got used to it, although that's a secondary reason. Also being able to use mouse and numpad at once is fantastic, not having to keyboard navigate spreadsheets which still can't seem to implement intuitive keyboard controls
Respectfully disagree. Been using this as a daily driver since it came out for a ton of gaming (COD) and work (software dev). Moved to it from Steel Series and it's been fantastic. I picked this up over the weekend and am enjoying it. I do prefer the profile of the Azoth keycaps, though, so I put those and a ghost bar on and it's working and sounds great.

Just a heads up, Razer is lying about the "it was only the first batch" when it comes to the switches. In reddit and amazon there are too many people to count, complaining about double clicking switches up to this day. Even the people that have gotten replacement switches have said they are on their 2 or 3 set of replacement switches because they double click eventually. I ended up buying Akko Creamy Purple Pro V3 switches, they feel slightly lighter than the razer ones, have worse RGB, but feel way better to type/game on and have a creamy sound profile, way lower pitched compared to Razer's. So far its been a month without any double clicking issues, but we'll see.
I too thought that this was going to fix it. I purchased the akko creamy blues and for awhile they were working well, then suddenly the double typing happened again and sometimes even some key strokes not being registered at all (which was also happening on my end with the orange switches). I really think it is just an overall board issue.
wireless has become a huge checkmark for me on my personal and work set ups. Features are cool on this but that battery life is a huge turn off. Steep price point as well. I was hoping for this keyboard to check a few more boxes. And I’m def not sweaty enough for HES to really drive it home. Good looking board tho and solid review.
(Razer BW 75%) Guess they missed me, cause they never sent me spare switches or reached out. I ended up picking up Gateron G Red Pro 3.0 Pre-lubed 5pin. I went back to my purchase, and seems my review is no longer there either. lol

I know it may sound unreasonable to say this but I'll say it anyway companies are using the enthusiasts love for gears to overprice their products this keyboard probably doesn't even cost 50 dollars to make but they keep using niche things that won't basically impact your game at all I mean look at the stuff we're on right now , 160 dollar mouse ? Cost of a monitor basically, everyone is using subscriptions to rip you off and so on .. I think this should be stopped at some point cause the products nowadays aren't even as durable
Brian hit the nail on the head. I main Azoth for over a year now and only had to charge once. As Brian said, wireless is a competing feature against RGB/OLED/4K. It makes no sense. Both companies should release two versions. The wireless version should come with no RGB/OLED/4k and no shine through keycaps. Then both wired and wireless version can be $199
Video proves his audience right now is not the target audience for this niche board 🤣 aint hyper competitve, aint mega premium at a good price. Just a good footprint or a decent nicer board with a familair name to it, thats all this board is. I like it but as a Mode keyboard owner I probably could never.
the v4 pro 75% is practically useless. you can find tons of other, cheaper, more custom keyboards out there with better build quality for sure. but the v4 pro full size? i feel like that is a bit more reasonable. sure, its not hot swap, which was a HUGE turn off for me at first, but when i started looking around in the custom keyboard area for an alternative... there was like NOTHING. you would have AT MAX 3 macro keys and a knob (unless you wanted a 75% layout...) and even at that, those boards were so *cheap* with the build quality too. the v4 pro full size is amazing for me (subjectively), a coding AND gaming person, since there are so many programmable keys AND it is full size. that being said, i would love to see a custom keyboard company come out with a keyboard with the layout of the v4 pro full size, but with the luxury and customizable compat that everyone is looking for.
Pc gaming is a pure money grab compared to console. People are paying thousands of dollars for rgb customization and better frame rates. I can’t take gaming that serious as an adult.

idk, why wouldn't you get the evo80 for a lower price point? Five bucks says the ball-catch mechanism is going to get imitated like crazy, too.
Cool features and nice blend between enthusiast style and gaming. But $300 for a non HE from a gaming brand is a hard pass.
Can we get a comparison of:
Audeze Maxwell vs Airpods Max vs Orosound Tilde Pro?
Will you review the falchion ace hfx? Even a short overview would be great.
Thank you very much!
At 299 it should have a built in Gpu.
where are you buying your gpus lmao
Bro are we gonna get a new razer viper ultimate mouse cause i need one lol
but i cant loose the dock - i use it way to much
when are we going to get a review on the Glorious GMMK 3 Pro
Just as overpriced as this one for no real outstanding performance/build engineering.
wireless has become a huge checkmark for me on my personal and work set ups.
I went back to my purchase, and seems my review is no longer there either. lol
Hey Badseed, plans on doing a full review of the PG27AQDP? Would love to hear you talk about it more in depth!
Didnt I review that already?
@@badseedtech An 8 minute overview!
Let me know what other info you're looking for and I'll do my best
Sigourney Beaver 🥵
They should make a wired version to lower the price and solve battery life issues.
The people focusing on Hall Effect are missing the point entirely.
Hall Effect is objectively better mechanically than regular switches. BUT, most people have no need for it. Unless you are a very high level gamer, you do not need to spend the money on Hall Effect. Spending the money on coaching will help most people improve.
Also not every game takes advantage of that.
Them subjectively feeling better is still a legitimate reason to use them though. It doesn't have to have any objective advantage
@@jammies701 I agree - that's why I use a 400$ keyboard that isn't even mechanical :)
@@1grapefruit EC Topre or…?
@@jammies701 Yup.
Haven't been using Razer products for a long time, is the build quality still garbage?
Can you remove the battery and just run it wired. I'd like to get rid of the potential fire hazard. Wire is King and always will be!
WHY IS THE KNOB ALWAYS ON THE RIGHT SIDE ?!
It isn't. I have a 75XT with a left knob, and another on the way with a left knob. Problem is traditional 75 doesn't really have a space for one on the left unless you use the escape area, which isn't ideal from some perspectives
Outstanding review. Thanks. Now to find a v4….
i wouldnt purchase this its crap and $100 more then a wooting or comparable keychron board and youre getting worse features and quality in every category just get the keychron q1he or q3he or wooting 60he or 80he and save yourself some cash
@@advancegeo2986I’m getting mine delivered today for £169
Have you actually tried it when you label something crap?..because that’s not how it works you’re meant to try everything out for yourself!!
It’s like someone telling you your wife is a dog 🐶..So you will go and kick her in the street!
That’s what sheep do “follow “
Trying things out for yourself and making mistakes is part of the fun in life, because it gives you experience and backbone…It will also qualify you to give advice and then it’s up to the individual what they do with it 👍
I will see how this keyboard turns out,I’ve got a stack of them and mice.
It’s always good to have something to compare against 👍
I would imagine you would have a lot of your audience say NO to wanting this board, since you started with customs content. But I know non customs people would reject this because HE boards are sweeping the market rn too amongst the normies.
Nah , i'm sticking with my regular V4 75% I always prefer a hardwire connection anyways and I don't care about the screen.
I've heard that there are a lot of issues with the version you, and it made hesitant in getting it. Did you have any problems with it since you got it?
@ so far nope , I did however switched it out to a more tactile switch which made it better.
There's so many better quality and way cheaper customizable keyboard options now that it makes no sense to spend $300 ++ on a big brand one.
So, it’s Asus azoth with more rgb, and an even worse software than armory crate?
A Chilkey ND75 @ $99 is the better keyboard. Each to their own to be honest though.
if i get a deal on black friday then for sure. if not then oh well
I know it may sound unreasonable to say this but I'll say it anyway companies are using the enthusiasts love for gears to overprice their products this keyboard probably doesn't even cost 50 dollars to make but they keep using niche things that won't basically impact your game at all I mean look at the stuff we're on right now , 160 dollar mouse ? Cost of a monitor basically, everyone is using subscriptions to rip you off and so on .. I think this should be stopped at some point cause the products nowadays aren't even as durable
I'll stand by my wooting 80he.
isn't it a Razer version of ROG Azoth with a higher price?
There has to be one guy out there that knows he caused that little scuff on bottom left edge. Shame on you sir
No numb pad, no thanks.
For my work flow I can't compromise with that.
I’d “razer” go with GMMK PRO 2 instead of this ))
Would have bought if it had rapid trigger. This is a miss from razer on a "pro" keyboard.
This is not the new superlite review...
For $300 would’ve been nice to have a Calculator key….
Asus azoth extreme is 500
Pc gaming is a pure money grab compared to console. People are paying thousands of dollars for rgb customization and better frame rates. I can’t take gaming that serious as an adult.
No hall effect/analog for $300 = SCAM
$300 seems expensive, but ASUS and Glorious keebs are $500.
Be aware of the switches. They are so trash and prone to failure after few months. Every razor pro keyboard has the same problem.
tldr: NO, it's not worth it. Just buy a Wooting if you have this much money
While this is so overpriced as it can be but ppl crying it not having HE didint huntman mini dows not have HE and yet they go toe to toe with wooting so i dont really get the point of ppl crying about it
you can literally get a wooting 80he for less
both Razer Synapse and Asus Armory Crate FKING SUCK
ive had multiple blackwidow ultimate kbs, razer mice, headphones etc
and only the one Asus Azoth which i currently use and love ...but the software from Asus AND from Razer? both are:
constantly crashing, constantly updating, still doesnt work. ITS BEEN YEARS but they just cant get it to simply function......its not a complex object like a 3d printer! ITS JUST A KB / MOUSE
is it worth the dough tho, yo
i just pissed on my wall
Razer has really gotten overpriced lately. Like they used to be expensive, but not necessarily overpriced. But nowadays it’s a joke. How are they gonna sit here and charge 300 dollars for this keyboard or 400 dollars for their new headset? Madness.
Razer must be sick in their heads to mass-produce this, and pretend it’s worth the money, for 300
300 bucks for a rip off Azoth with faulty switches, bravo Razer
its a clack, not a thock, ill pass aula f75 better
The purple was so fucking misleading
