I used to watch this Luther concert live over and over again when I was 7 years old and I still stay glued to the screen everything I watch these same Luther concerts as an adult and remain even captivated by dynamic talent and showmanship that only God can bless a man with !!!!!!!! I just watch it last night and will watching it again tonight because I have been his #1 FAN since I was a kid and will always be his 1# FAN .I got a once in in a lifetime opportunity to see him in person right before he passed after one of his biggest concerts at the Chicago Theatre and I never forgot how he rolled down his Excursion window , waved , and gave me the biggest smile from ear to ear after hearing me sing his hit song " A House is not a Home " with all my heart and soul . My brother Richard & I were there at the Wembley Arena London. This will certainly be with me until my last breath. We we're originally seated back in the middle of the arena, but as Luther started singing, almost everybody stood up & started dancing, we managed to maneuver our way all the way down to the stage, totally amazing. We spent rest of the evening right there, as I remember correctly. Luther bought peace into my life with his pure songs & energy he had it & gave it away, to whomever wanted to listen & be healed. What I really like about this is how he makes sure his backup singers are just as relevant as he is. Of course he's the lead voice and the star so he's gonna take the shine, but the way they're not in the background as they usually are with other singers but on the same stage as him is so cool and honorable.. plus the way he interacts with them during the performance 😂

Luther is by far one of the "Greatest Singers of All Time". I miss him and his shows. I have had the honor of attending a few of his shows, and I must say, he never ever dissappoints! This man and his back-up singers always put on a really good show.
Before this July '87 Wembley series, Luther played Hammersmith Odeon between 11-14 February and the shows were sold out; there was even a heart-shaped bed (cheesy, I know) on the stage on the Valentine's Day gig. Luther was in top form, the audience was chanting his name through much of the gig, women were screaming his name and the atmosphere was more intimate re rapport, due to venue size, yet off the hook. Luther was more spontaneous than he was by the time he came back and performed at Wembley; his BVs Ava Cherry, Lisa Fischer and Kevin Owens were given their own little moments, the setlist was different/longer (including 'See Me', 'A House Is Not A Home' and 'So Amazing'), and Luther even asked for a performed a few requests from the LV library (or appeared to). He had released the 'Give Me The Reason' album a few months before which was the soundtrack to the popular movie: 'Ruthless People', but he seemed genuinely, pleasantly surprised at his popularity with the Hammersmith audience and those who went to one of these initial forays to the UK, knew that they experienced something special.
I went to the Birmingham,NEC leg of this tour (Give Me The Reason) and this is exactly how I remember the show, from Luther's entrance, to his little changes in lyrics etc....so noticeable to me as it was my first ever gig as a 17 year old. Happy days...RIP Luther
