Happy to return to this video. I remember recording this performance on my VCR when it aired back in the day. I watched it each and every day! I wore that VHS tape out chiLe!!! I sang each and every note, spoke each Line of their dialogues and mimicked their every gesture. Listening to this today, I know this entire performance from and by heart. These women, their voices, their cLass, their eLegance, their styLe, their grace pLanted seeds in me decades ago and I stiLL eat weLL and am nourished by their fruit, in me. I have onLy LOVE, LOVE, LOVE for them and this concert. They were a part of what shaped and formed me. They are beautyFULL!!! Hair, skin, make-up, dresses, shoes, stage presence....just FLAWLESS!!!
Ms. Dionne is what u call a sneaky singer!! She creeps up on you and then next minute u are floored, u don't realize just what happened until you are on your feet and clapping for your life, lol. I tell you she is something uniquely special!!!

Three queens on stage together, belting it all out old-school gospel style! I had not been aware they had ever done this show, and am I ever glad I found it! I've always loved each of these ladies in their own right, but Gladys' sass, Patti's brass and Dionne's class make a truly unforgettable combo.
WOW! I had never seen the video of these 3 SuperStars until today! We've seen Patti LaBelle in Concert more than once at the Westbury music fair in New York, and we flew on an Airplane from Florida to Montgomery Alabama to see Gladys Knight in Concert. I've always enjoyed the songs and voice of Dionne Warwick, but never got a chance to see her perform in person, until this coming November 16, 2024 in Westbury New York.
3 totally authentic, beautiful, amazingly talented, Christian entertainers. One of the best concerts l have ever experienced . Feeling totally up lifted.
Out of all the divas, these three were and still are real homies. Real Friends. As much as we wanted them to be, Aretha, Diana nor Tina was ever apart of the crew. These 3 are actually the down to earth relatable Divas.
Pray that the Lord allows these Ladies, and they are that in every sense of the word, live forever. We have nothing like this now...nothing that can even approach their talent, poise, glamour, and dignity. When they leave a huge aching hole will be left in the entertainment world.

I love them all! I've seen all 3 in concert. Patty is the baddest . I just love her so much ! No one can match her. This is the 1st time I have seen Dionne open her mouth that wide. This was special and I’m so glad I found it on the tube. It’s funny how Patti sometimes deviates from the harmonies and it throws the other two off and you can see Dionne gets annoyed. LOL But I also see a sisterly bond. They act like sisters lol. All 3 of these beautiful divas are special and bring something unique to the table ...but Gladys! There is something so special and warm about her voice! It feels like home , like warm blanket. I could listen to her sing all day long! Well, if you look at the very, very beginning when they walk up the stairs onto the stage, Gladys being first. Look at the frown on Patti's face. She's indicating to Gladys that Dionne's taking too long to join them, and Dionne isn't smiling. Her smile breaks out once the spotlight hits her face. Dionne and Patti had already "discussed" Patti staying on her notes when harmonizing, and it wasn't well-received. G!

Well, if you look at the very, very beginning when they walk up the stairs onto the stage, Gladys being first. Look at the frown on Patti's face. She's indicating to Gladys that Dionne's taking too long to join them, and Dionne isn't smiling. Her smile breaks out once the spotlight hits her face. Dionne and Patti had already "discussed" Patti staying on her notes when harmonizing, and it wasn't well-received. G!

Patti brought it up in her autobio and went on Oprah, where she made it seem like Dionne felt threatened by Patti overshadowing her and insinuated that Gladys supported Dionne when Gladys actually tried to make them get over the conflict by telling Dionne to let her be. Even Dionne, when asked about the conflict backstage, said that Gladys was being soft and someone had to say that Patti "was singing the Goddamned wrong notes".
