As a portuguese, thank you so much for making this video. I hope this wets the appetite for foreigners to chose my little country as their vacation destiny choice in the next years to come.
First off, great job covering the best of the best from north to south, including the islands and everything in between. For me, one glaring omission, Lagos and its adjacent coastline down to Ponta da Piedade definitely deserves a place somewhere at the top of your list. Well done and thank you for promoting our beautiful country.
Hi guys, I was delighted hearing you speak about Portugal. I know that is a small country with a wide range of different interesting scenarios, but hearing you speak about that in your own words it sounds much more beautiful. Thanks for your nice videos and descriptions.
Your best video yet, in my opinion. Absolutely loved it, and happy to see you pick all my favourite places in Portugal. Great job guys, livin' the dream.
Nice recap of some of your amazing places you visited. The list is almost endless as Portugal is full of history and charm. Thank you for allowing us from afar to enjoy our family historical homes. Look deep into the Portuguese history and you will find more to discover and amaze.
Love this video! In one place I have all the city/towns you recommend worth visiting. So timely as my husband and I finally!!! leave to Portugal in November. Thank you and enjoy today.
I miss Portugal sooooo much! Thank you for sharing your passion of this beautiful country. Visited 12 out of the 20. That means I need to go back!!!!!!!
Omg you did it again!!!! I feel I need to share this video with everyone including some ex-pats who have UA-cam channels and are looking all over Portugal to find their forever home, this was excellent and hopefully we will take some of your advice and visit for ourselves in the spring….can’t wait 🥰🇨🇦🇵🇹
Great video! Portugal is so diverse and really has something for everyone. We've been to a handful of these places but now I can't wait to visit them all!
You missed Berlengas Island, a natural reserve nearby Peniche...but an amazing job anyway. Thanks a lot for what both of you have been doing along these years for Portugal. Hope to have both of you for many years to come, in my country.
Loved this. It was great to see all these places and hear a bit about them. Have you considered doing groups of vids like: best coastal, best romantic weekend, best wine gowns etc. That would be great. Your fans will always want to know you two are doing well in life and health so don’t completely stop the vlog vids but it’s these videos that inspire our wanderlust!! Thank you!
Nice job. Glad you mentionned Ericeira because that's where I chose to live since 1998. You could, maybe, include your footage of Vidago. Anyway, you are now fine connoisseurs of my country. You should be proud of it.
Guys what an amazing video. I just returned from Portugal three amazing weeks can't wait to go back keep up with the good work. I recommend Portinho da Arrábida and all the beaches near Setúbal let's not forget Costa Vicentina
You guys are really discovering our really identity as a people. I loved your video and I'm glad you are enjoying our country in all its aspects so much. Thank you 🙏
"Another 20 great reasons to revisit Portugal. I'm planning a trip to central Portugal next year and will use some of your recommendations. Great hairstyle Amalie 👍"
There is only 1 location missing. The Portuguese plateau, magnificent area. Valley of the Côa river, with the medieval villages, Sabugal, Sortelha, Vila do Touro, Vilar Maior, Alfayates, Almeida (unmissable) and Cidadelhe with the Faia Brava reserve. A remote place with castles with incredible views (Castelo Maior, Castelo Melhor...) and white cows, not to be missed. You only missed this area.
I recommend if you go to the Geres area to visit a tiny little village called Brufe. Apparently the population of the village is around 20 people. You also have to eat at the restaurant O Abocanhado.
I just think you've missed Braga, which was recently awarded as European Best Destination. A former Roman capital, the 3rd biggest city in the country and probably the one growing more in the last years. I don't know if you have been there already, but for me it should be mandatory in a list like this. Also, if you go there, try to go to the coast as well, namely to Apulia to try the seafood there and you may reconsider your "best seafood places" classification. But the rest of the list includes all the best of Portugal, I agree. Maybe Sintra could be here as well, but yeah. Also, when you refer to Minho, you're actually referring to "Alto Minho" (high Minho) only. Because Gerês, Guimarães and Braga are also part of Minho, but you mentioned only the northern part of Minho, which corresponds to the district of Viana do Castelo (Minho is composed by two districts: Viana do Castelo and Braga). Anyways, nice work!
Great job you guys but even if you´ve made a video with the 200 places to visit in our country you´ve still miss other places!!! My country is awsome! Best wishes for you guys!Cheers!
Your video is great. But Portugal although small is so diverse that still remains a lot of remarkable places. Among them I would mention Coimbra (one of the oldest universities in the world with its amazing Joanina library, the old churches, the Roman cryptoporticus, etc.) and Sintra a really fairy tale place with its palaces and beautiful castle). Sintra btw got its name from a Celtic goddess, Cyntia, the goddess of the moon because back in the day there was a temple to honor her overthere.
Very helpful - I'll try to visit some of these places when visiting Portugal in August/September. I am hoping to find some good biking places, grilled fresh fish, that wine that you mentioned, and to experience happiness in the nature there. Thanks for making this video.
Great video guys, really enjoyed it! I agree with the list to 95%. The only thing I would add, and it would be one of the most important ones, is Sintra. But you did mention to visit that from Ericeira, so I guess you kind of had it. Still, I think it deserves its own spot on the list.
Fantastic video!👌 I've seen some of your videos and I loved it! I just subscribe to your channel so I don't miss the next one.😊 Greetings from Portugal, Aveiro
Todas as outras 12 escolhas vossas eu acertei completamente.
Hi, I think I told you once, I must tell you again. Go to Elvas, in Alentejo. Spend 2 or 3 days there. And of course come to see my town Porto, again. Happy that you get to Blumenau in Brasil where my chilldren live.
I do not swim but I enjoy walking and I can sit and enjoy the ocean. I love a great view anywhere. Your perspectives on all these areas is very informative. I don't mind being in the presence of the Portuguese people, after all, I am 75% Iberian.
❤️ :) what a vision, what a beautiful ideas, what an interesting images! You have EVERYTHING to put in us what is Portugal, I feel you are an ancient King and Queen in Portugal, never been acknowledged and NOW you are recognized! Thank you, honors! :):):)🌟
Man, you show the Abel in Gimonde (Bragança). Congratulations, it's one of the best places in Portugal to stay, eat and enjoy the life. Congratulations because you have discovered a place in Portugal that a lot of portuguese people don't know. I know very well, and despite I'm from near Lisbon, at least 2 times per year I go there, only to stay on their hotel and to eat...and to visit of course Rio de Onor.

I think Joen & Amalie ought to be made honorary Portuguese citizens for services rendered to the country! 🇵🇹
I second that.
👆🏻👏🏻
You have such a vision!!! :) I call them Joen O Português and Amalie A Portuguesa ❤️
