There needs to be an insurance claim to be charged with insurance fraud. People fucked up enough to scam other people should be charged with fraud before insurance companys are ever involved
The way you get them, is allowing the case to move forward into insurance claim... thats when the insurance company will charge an individual with fraud. Dont say anything about the dash cam until police arrive and statements are already made. That is proof of fraud being committed. After that is done, then mention the dash cam. They cant retract a statement made to police because of evidence
If you want to have your time wasted going into court. I'd be saying "The whole thing is on dashcam." over and over again. Take off work, get stripped searched in the courthouse lobby, sit there all day, finally get called up...…"Here is my dashcam footage of the event." half an hour later, after having them drop their charges, you get to return to the parking garage and pay the city 18 bucks for parking your car. Just isn't worth it.
@@BackSeatJunkie "Strip searched" because you've got court? How poor of an area are you in? Lol Taking off your belt, and throwing your wallet and keys into a tray isn't a strip search. & he's talking about letting the police get the other persons' statement, and then showing them the dash cam footage... *This case wouldn't go to court, and 9/10 others wouldn't, either*.. That's the (WHOLE POINT) of having a dash cam, having evidence of what (JUST) happened. Lol I'm sure what Flyinghotpocket means, is getting somebody in trouble for lying to the police, A.K.A filing a false police report, which is a felony. So, instead of the woman in this case just changing her story before the cops get there, she'd face actual repercussions for her actions, and not try to pull the same bitch ass move on somebody else in the future.
Also, most companies won't let you take the day off, just because you've got court. Ya show up, you leave, go to court, and come back to work. Small claims court rulings are usually pretty fast. & not everywhere in the world charges you parking fee's. Especially most courthouses. Lol
OP is correct, keep silent about the cam until the cop arrives and let her speak first when the cop gets there. While waiting, keep subject engaged so they don't think to run. Act like a stupid sheep but obviously never accept blame. Ideally record stuff with your phone. "You say I hit you? You're saying it's my fault? We really should get the police here ASAP. Are you sure you don't need an ambulance? You look unsteady. Like in shock. Oh that? Yeah, that's a dash cam. Stupid thing is completely worthless. (Ignore further questions and look depressed about everything.) Oh god if this is my fault it's gonna completely destroy me." If you can't get them to damn themselves directly, give them the idea to claim they have a busted back and rack up a huge hospital bill. The ambulance is comin, and medical bill Hell is comin with it. 😂😂😂 These people seriously deserve nothing less.
Never tell someone you have a dashcam. When it happens, just call the police and let them lie to the police. Then show the police your dashcam and the footage. Then the police can deal with their stupidity.
What typically happens afterwards when they're caught lying, does the police dismiss the case or would they charge her with fraud or something? And would you be able to sue them for distress?
Jeff Jeff you would be able to sue them, lying to the police can be considered obstruction of justice which could be up to 5 years in prison and it would be considered insurance fraud.
Always always always dont mention the fact that you have a dashcam until youre in court, a lot of these guys scam people and the look on their faces when the dvd comes out is probably the most priceless thing on the planet plus they get jail for lying in court, and they owe you for all the time they wasted
The sensible thing to do would have been to just exchange insurance information and say you're in a rush. Then go home and smash your headlight with a hammer and blame it on her as the dashcam footage shows her rolling back, but not the damage.
@@steveturner5519 If it supports 60fps, then it's good product. Low framerate may cause traffic light blinking issue, which traffic lights on cam is shown blinking and/or not appear properly.(Light's blinking rate not matching up with cam.) You might fail to prove your innocence.
Yup should have called the police, then show the evidence to them so they can write her a ticket and document her car so she can't try to scam some poor sap. With great dash cam powers comes great responsibility and OP failed the public.
@@bvbxiong5791 call the cops......please please let her report first, ask the officer what she said then ask what happens if she lies....then the evidence
This also applies to commercial vehicles in which the company has already installed a camera. Invest in a secondary camera that is under YOUR control, and run it alongside the company one full time. This has actually saved me from my own employer trying to screw me over as well as the 3rd party
Pamela Schramke ,We bought a dashcam and it cost us only $45 from China. It works like a charm. Thanks China, for making it affordable to people like us.
I don't think she planned it, but when she thought you hit her she was like, now I'm getting paid. I had a lady who looked just like that woman try to blame me for a busted out fog light attached with old raggedy shoestring when I literally was backing up so slow ,cuz it was a tight sqeeze, that I didn't even feel it bump and I did no damage. I took pictures and called my insurance. They said don't worry we can tell if it's old damage. three months later I got a letter saying my insurance is going up because I'm at fault for an accident. DTA, don't trust anybody!
You are too nice of a person... I would have called the police and let them settle it out, take her to court... and THEN let everyone know I have a dashcam that has all the proof. Scammers like this need to go to jail or get a large fine.
There was no damage to his vehicle and he knew he had the dashcam to cover his arse if she tried to hang any of it on him. No need to waste his time on her.
NEVER let a scam artist walk away report her to the police, get some paper on her! She will just go after someone else. Make her known to the police so she will have a hard time scamming others.
From what I've seen in the past, don't admit to having a dash cam until the police are involved. Let the other person dig their grave with lies that can be proven later.
Preferably wait until they fill out a police report. If it's clear they're lying to both you and the police and they fill one out, they can be arrested for filing a false police report.
As a professional driver myself. Rule number 1 don’t let the other person know u have it on dash cam. I’m a truck driver and I was involved in a hit a run and of course the police cane after me for a hit a run not knowing I had it all on camera. Made them look like fools
@@jerryholman9363 What? Ain't my fucking fault that the OP worded his entire comment like shit. All I asked for was some clarity since he straight up said he was involved in a hit and run. Go fuck yourself. Insulting people for fucking nothing.
You should not have told her about the dashcam. Let her get a ambulance chasing att , that wants to sue you for everything you have. Bring your evidence to court then sue her . She'll loose her neck brace. If you just let it go she'll keep on doing this until she hits a jackpot. Between government assistance and insurance claims, I'm sure that she is living large.
@@rickhenry9869 Why would she take her good car out for insurance scams? It makes far more sense to just use an older beater where it doesn't matter if it gets dinged with another dent.
And then have it be the one time that the cam wasn't working... Lol. If I knew 100% that it was recorded and saved, I'd do as you suggest, but on the off chance that it didn't... I think I'd prefer to mention the camera as a deterrent to lying in the first place
Feynman Was A Genius - So, your philosophy of life is to cause the maximum amount of emotional and financial harm that you can manage? Feynman was indeed a genius. You’re kind of a dick.
Should have waited for the cops, saying nothing, until they took her statement. Then show them the dashcam video. She'd have gotten charged with making a false statement, the insurance would refuse to pay for her car's damages, and she may have been jailed and lost her license.
I wish this was the case. I literally had dash cam footage of a woman hitting my car, pulling over, having a discussion in front of my vehicle and for some reason decided to flee the scene when she was told me she was getting her license from her car. I showed the video to the cops and they literally told me to just handle it through my insurance company and that I should be "fine" since I had video evidence to prove that it wasn't my fault...... I was floored to see how ineffective the police are when it comes to semi serious traffic offenses. This happened in Los Angeles for those of you that are curious.
Due to a minor accident my wife was involved in recently (not her fault), we found out in South Dakota that if the damage is less than $1000, there will be no ticket issued. Whaaaat?
@@-curran2163 So anything they say to the police after that will be 100% questionable. Plus you get to see the look on their face when you walk up and say "here. My dash cam got it all on video" when they lie about you.

First make her think you're complying bygetting her info then tell her about the cam and report It later and give all of her info to the cops, No sense In wasting time waiting for the cops If you have stuff to do or risking you and your family's life If she ends up pysho, Snaps out of nowhere and goes for a gun.....
That’s the classic “reverse into someone and blame them” trick. It was invented in Brampton, Ontario Canada. The home of the highest insurance in Ontario.
I would have let her call the cops and not tell her I had a camera until the police arrived. Then she'd get a ticket and points on her record. If she did it again to someone else, her credibility is already ruined and she has a record, so the cops are less likely to believe her in the future. Then her career of insurance scams is over.
She seemingly didnt want the cops to get involved. Perhaps because she would have negotiated a cash deal and then later filed a insurance claim with the photos she took.
I never understand why people who have a dashcam would point out they have a dashcam before any action is formally taken by the scammer. All that you do by doing that is let her try, try again and now some poor guy without a dashcam is going to likely have to get action taken for something that wasn't his fault. Instead, let her engage in the legal process of pursuing damages to her vehicle, then provide this footage to the insurance company and they'll counter sue AND likely pursue further legal action because she is doing something illegal.
I’m a cop in Ohio and we would definitely appreciate being called for someone doing this. I would have liked to interviewed her first without her knowing about the video. If she stuck to the story that you hit her and she didn’t back into you, I’d charge her for Improper Backing and Falsification. The latter of which “could” put her in jail until the next court date in my county....depending on how off-track and deceptive her story was. If she is a scammer, which it appears she is, then I’d love to have a report with her name on it along with a falsification conviction hanging on her neck thus calling into question her future credibility. Depending on the vibe I got from her, it might have even been worth it from an investigation standpoint to keep the video quiet and just cite her for improper backing to see if she filed an insurance claim a week or so later, then hit her with the prior two charges PLUS (insurance) fraud.
@@mbeer30 Same, especially if I've just switched from reverse to drive to get out of a parallel park uphill. Gotta make sure I don't come too close to the car behind or it's definitely gonna roll back and bump it as I try to leave my park

Hehdhchrydhd Duunhdjrjdjdj he can like to that lady all he wants saying it was his fault. If not recorded not heard by the cop and on top of the video, pretending and acting like he was to blame isn't going to make a difference in that situation.
Have had mine for 5 years. I've had some road ragers trying to cause an accident with sudden break checks. I always laugh and point at the camera. Most of the time, they take off. Once, they pulled up beside me to yell at me before they noticed the camera. It makes a HUGE difference. I'm getting one installed in my back plate too.
I had a front dash cam for many years. Have now got a better one which records front and back every time I go out in my car. I let it record audio so if I’m in an accident, it will pick up their excuses, if I’m in the wrong that is 😝
I drove for a major freightline, and the company decided to put cameras in all the trucks. Of course a driver asked what the cost was, and it was astronomical. So we drivers were upset over all that money being spent. Next year we received a good profit sharing check. Insurance costs were way down. Three wrongful death suites against us for many millions of dollars were quietly dropped after the plaintiff's lawyers received a copy of our dash cam footage. And several of us were cleared of wrong doing in fender bender accidents also. Needless to say, we drivers now love our dashcams. As for myself, I would of missed out on two big safety awards if not for the dash cam showing the deer did not yield and illegally tried to merge into interstate traffic at about midnight one night. (May of prevented another wrongful death suite) ha ha
@@13BGunBunny I am sorry to say that there was not enough of the deer left to ticket. When I met the driver I was to switch trailers with, he came up to my door and asked if it was animal or human remains down the left side of the set. I grew up on a farm and have always loved animals. When I stopped to check my rig for damage, it broke my heart to see how badly that deer was torn up. You really do not want to fight a semi head on!
Near where I live, there's this one dreadful turn that can change how you plan your whole route. The green light lasts a generous while for people going straight, or turning right. But this one particular left turn -- the one significant turn that everyone needs, never not a line for it -- lasts like 3 seconds. If you miss that window, you're gonna have to wait 2 or 3 more minutes. Literally everyone runs the yellow and several run the red. And it's the most direct and easy path from the interstate highway to the center of our town where everything is. It's the worst left turn ever.
Yup, 100% insurance fraud. Always call the police. Always take your own photos (including the driver and all passengers if you can) and video preferably before moving the vehicles. Never tell them you have a dashcam, just show the officer, that way he can file charges of insurance fraud. I wish everyone had a dash cam, would make my job easier.(ins. fraud)
Im regular size gay and no one believes Im gay when they meet me and one of my friends would tell people this and its kinda funny so I used it as my ID here.
So perhaps you should use "I don't look gay", because if you are not short and you definitively shoot the poop, "Just a little gay" doesn't make sense, unless you mean you "act a little gay". Put a different way, you can't be "A little Dead" or "A little pregnant".
Just a Little Gay: How about nobody cares whether or not that you are a homosexual? Why would anybody care what you do in the privacy of your car's back seat? Why do you feel the need to tell anyone that would listen that you are a homosexual? Look you even had to have it as your UA-cam username. You may be "just a little" homosexual but are indeed completely pathetic . . .
They often do, but only if you call the police and show them to video without the scammer knowing that you have footage of their scam. Which is why you avoid telling them.
Whenever I'm in a situation, I always call and wait for the authorities and don't even tell them I have a dashcam. I wait until they spin their story to the police and then I tell them about the cam. People shit their pants when they've already lied to the authorities and there's solid evidence of those lies. I just tell them We are waiting and to make sure their story is correct. These types of trash usually will file hit and run on you. That's why it's better to take care of it officially.
But if they file that report and they are later proven wrong they can get in big trouble for it. I work in NY state as a liability adjuster and if you report a hit and run to the police and use your collision to fix your car it's considered non surcharge able. I once had a case where a young woman told me she was in a hit and run but didn't bother to call the police..of course she tried to say the other car had hit her in the front bumper of her with the doors of his car as she was making a left turn from a parking lot into a 4 lane road. Did she call the police? No she was scared and went home (she's 18). Weird I thought...than a week later I am working another claim where a guy is telling me how he was in a hit run on the same road. He told me the cops came and he was taking the er and that the other car fled the scene but he has the plate because her plate fell off in the street and the cop handed it to him so he could give the number to his insurance company. Turns out the younger lady was a liar and boy were her parents pissed when I called to tell them that she was at fault and had lied to them about fleeing the scene.
First rule of having a Dashcam... never talk about your Dashcam. Wait for the police to arrive and show them the video. If you show the scammer the dashcam video, they will quickly change their story, and bid you adieu, like the lady here.... and then they will try again on a different motorist. And, she was no doubt a scammer, since automatic cars do not roll back when you let off the brake. Her car was clearly shifted out of drive and into neutral. She wanted a new bumper.
i agree with the part about "don't tell them you have a cam". but an automatic WILL roll backwards if the slope is steep enough. you'd have to give it gas to stay in one place on that slope. leaving the steep driveway at my job every day taught me how to left foot brake to keep from rolling back in an auto, and later, that same driveway taught me how to use the handbrake to keep from rolling back on a hill start in a manual transmission car.
Gibson99dotcom I know! I hate the dumbasses that give you no space to rollback in a slope as well! What if I had a manual or my automatic rolls back? Now my car is going to bump yours and I would be at fault even though there was little that can be done and they stopped leaving only a sliver of space! I sometimes want to scream at people. :| (not saying that happened here. I’m just saying that pisses me off)
Curiously Tot If you hit another car because you roll back it just means you are a bad driver. You are not in control of your vehicle and hit someone else's vehicle because of your inability to drive properly. You shouldn't need the space. If you do you don't deserve your drivers license.
Maybe if his truck had sustained any kind of damage from her little trick, then he might have. But he said there was no damage on his vehicle, and she did apologize, albeit after she saw the video, so he let it go. It was the right thing to do, since there was no damage, and nobody was hurt. Just her pride, and embarrassment at getting caught in her lies.
+SophieMia806 It doesnt matter the point is she is an insurance scammer and she will do it again to some other shmuck who might not be lucky enough to have a dashcam. Anyone with any reasonable amount of braincells should have reported it and given the footage to the police so she is on record.
The same thing happened to my buddy before dash cams. A guy rolled back like her then got out and started yelling at my buddy for hitting him, luckily a lady in the other lane backed my buddy up so the dick jumped in his car and laid rubber like a tough guy.
It was plainly your fault! Your truck was much bigger and had more mass than her car, therefore the gravity of your truck pulled her car backwards into you. I’m afraid she’s got you fair and square 😂 😂

Even though the truck does exert slightly more gravity on the car than vice versa , would you really expect someone like that to grasp the concept?
Yup. Seen it too often here in Florida. They don't just roll backwards though, they'll actually use Reverse. Dashcam dashcam dashcam. Can't say it enough.
never tell them you have a dash cam. let them call the police, and then tell the police when they show up that you have a dash cam. then show the police the video.
Where do you live that the police would come for a minor fender-bender?? Where I live the police only come if the damage is likely to be over $1000, if any of the vehicles involved become undriveable, or if there are injuries. If someone called the police for something like this they would get charged for false alarm...
14? you have to be a bus driver for that XD a normal car isnt even allowed to hold that much, if any nation allows a normal car with less than 8 seats drive with 14 people inside they are madlads
I got into a small accident like this about a month back. Thankfully we were both honest about what happened and things got resolved just fine. But all these videos remind me not all people are like that. I think I'm gonna be purchasing a dash cam soon.
Same here. Last May I got into a fenderbender and admitted it was my fault both to the driver and to the officer that showed up. A little under a month after that incident I got cut off by two really aggressive drivers with my girlfriend in the car. I was pissed I didn't have a dashcam cause the police asked to see footage when that happened (they didn't have a traffic camera set up at the intersection). The two of us bought dashcams for our cars immediately after that. Sucks it was on her birthday.
People of all ethnicity's attempt to scam and steal people's money everyday and everywhere. The fact you bring race into the situation is a perfect example of an indirect racist and the true reason racism can't and will never die.

I wouldn’t have even told her I had a dash cam, just called the cops and showed them the video when they asked for my statement. Scam artists are rampant!
I experienced this myself, and found out from the insurance company that 'roll back' scams are one of the most-prevalent types of insurance fraud out there....they NEVER get their car fixed, take the $5000 payout, and keep on going. If you get a 'roll back' fender (or bumper) bender, CALL THE POLICE (and with the use of a dash cam), show them the roll back. If they document the driver did roll back into you, then your insurance is notified, and it hits their record. A couple of times, and they can never pull this scam again.
Steven M, having a police report of this "accident" would help the insurance companies if she tries this again, especially if the dash cam footage is included in the report
Mark S insurance companies have other systems that alert them to every accident someone has been in. They do it by things like name, vin number address ect. All insurance companies share the information
I had this happen to me too, a man backed into me and blamed it on me. I said fine lets call the cops to make a report. State trooper takes his statement and mine. I show him the video from my camera and he got arrested for making a false statement to a police officer.
I had someone do this to me and it took 3 years to disappear from my record, made my insurance sky rocket. I wish I would've had a dash cam. He even hopped out of the car yelling for $500. Thanks for sharing
Kept telling my buddy to get one for a couple of years now finally the other day Tesla cut him off made him hit another car... And the other two people are ganging up and saying it's his fault... And now he has no proof ... but guess what he has in his rental car... Yep a dashcam
Who ever the fuck it was that did that to you is an asshole but dont worry karma would of gotten them back buy now hopefully someone with a more expensive car did it back to them
It was the early 80s before dashcams when something like this happen to me. I was stopped at the light and new Cadillac hit my lifted suburban with a trailer hitch with a ball, I told the other driver to pull over to the side street to look at the damage, of course, there was only a small scratch on the ball of the hitch of my truck but it went through grill and radiator and was dripping fluid of the Cadillac. So I told him I can call for the cops, but didn't want me to so I told him no damage to my truck so I'm going and I took his info and drove off, no problems, you have to pay attention to stopped traffic, I told my softball team about it and we had a good laugh.
I MUST agree with Theiran's comment below. ALWAYS allow or encourage them to get the police. Provide them with the number > 911. Let them lie and then you offer the officer a look at your evidence. A camera is considered unbiased. It only sees what it sees. You win. Plus that look when they understand their butt is a lawn and the officer is the mower.
No no no you dont tell the cops or the person you have a dashcam you wait for it to go to court and since they are the "victim" thry will get to plead there case first let them lie to the court to the judge and law enforcement then when its your turn you get to watch them squirm as you play the video evidence not only will they realize they fucked up but they will be either heavily fined for the accident AND lying in a court of law and then they ALSO have to pay for all damages and insurance that alone is at least im guessing in my currency (cause i doubt we live in the same country) around 10 grand if they cant pay it they go to jail and if there caught doing the same shit again to pay for court fees and fines the ugghhhh go to jail sorry this was a rushed comment im sorry if some of it doesnt make sense my point is keep the dashcam a secret
Not telling the officer about the dashcam is a bad idea. It could be construed as withholding evidence, interfering with a police investigation, and runs the risk of being declared inadmissible.
Situational, waiting to point out the dash cam probably makes the cops day much more complicated. If that's a local cop, might be better to deescalate things in the long run.
james heyer because eeeveryone knows the local police phone number. Especially if they live hours from the workplace. It's not like 911 is fully capable of redirecting you to this number.
Thanks. I have had a dash camera for about 5 years now. Saved my ass once due to a car ran into my right side when their lane ended. Trooper watched the video and started writing them the ticket. Dash cameras show EVERYTHING and make a better driver out of most.
I once got a letter implicating me in an accident I never had. The letter included my number plate, but described "the car reversing down a one-way street". I laughed, as I then only drove a medium sized panel van, which cannot be described as a 'car'. I hope they were prosecuted for attempting to obtain money by deception.
i had a similar thing happen to me. I was stopped, like you were, and a car backed up into me. The driver said I rear ended him. His insurance even placed blame on me. I said ok, well here is the video. My insurance promptly put the other driver at fault. a 60 dollar dash cam can save you so much trouble.
Yeah, I had something similar happen to me. I was behind someone at a red light, and suddenly they were backing up. When the police showed up, they said that they hadn’t seen us behind them (in spite of the fact that I had at least four more cars behind me, and we’d been there at least a full minute). Was a whole mess with insurance.
I never would have said a word about the dash cam, I would have called the police and had her fill, out the report, then showed the cop the dash cam. Rest assured, this was not the first or the last for her!
I wouldn’t even deal with her...I would just call the cops. She was trying to scam you....big surprise eh....in this evil-riddled world we live in. I wouldn’t even talk to her...
@@anteater2536 I live in the Netherlands. Cops will simply refuse to come to an accident with no injury. The other party won't give out insurance details? Your problem. You have to write down their number plate, even though that does not count as evidence in court to show who was driving the car when it happened. If the driver says someone else drove his car at that moment but is unwilling to disclose that information, even the court will go along and say ": well, that's just too bad for complainant" and the defendant is off the hook. Whenever I am in an accident I call the cops and I tell them in an agitated tone of voice "someone might get shot". Cops then usually show up within three minutes, have a talk with everyone and then tell me I told the operator I threatened to shoot someone, which I didn't. "Officer, I simply expressed my fear for a gun-fight. You can listen to the recorded phone-call I made. I did not threaten to shoot anyone, I clearly said I was afraid the situation might end in a gun-fight." Though I can imagine this scenario will not work out fine in the US where the cops might show up with blazing guns and shoot to kill all on sight.
I live in Ontario, Canada and the police can't be involved unless damages to either one of the cars exceed $10 000, a person is injured, or if the situation gets violent. And I don't think her dents would have exceeded the ten grand, from what I saw in the video there were small dents and one big dent, could be a couple five hundred dollars (but that's Canada, not sure how similar things are in the U.S).
Thulsy Eziranax the thing is, most insurance companies being sued are now asking (and hunting down any info regarding) any previous accidents and lawsuits. You're definitely flagged and things are heavily scrutinized when you have had an accident within a year or a lawsuit within 7-10 years in most places. They are pulling driving records!
Bought a new truck last month. Before I accepted delivery of it I had the dealership install a dash camera (available through truck manufacturers accessories catalog). It connects to my phone wirelessly so I can show police without removing my camera. Camera system looks out of both front and rear windows.
I have front and rear facing ones, both DOD 450s, 1080p 30fps with GPS... VERY handy I have gotten 5 people off the road for dangerous driving, and got rear ended by a girl on her cell phone who didn't see us stopped, and tried to blame a non existent driver for hitting her from behind and knocking her into me... you can see right through her car and up the hill, there was never anyone behind her. Dashcams are the BEST investment you can make, I am glad I have front and rear facing ones.
I knew right away she was trying to run an insurance scam. Should have called the police to make a report of it. Maybe she would go to jail for insurance fraud.
The trick here is to not tell them you have a dash cam, call the police so they can get her information, and then tell your lawyer you have evidence that it was the other person's fault based on your dash-cam video. I understand your point-of-view of letting her go since there was no damage to your truck, but you could have gotten this scammer off the street from potentially scamming others. Either way though, good thing you had a dash-cam & I'm glad nothing happened to your truck.
1:21 She's driving a Chevrolet. Most to all Chevrolet models made beginning in 2016 have an Auto-Stop feature, which turns off the engine when at a complete stop. When you are stopped and on a slope, the car can roll back if your foot is not completely pressed down on the brake. It would continue rolling backwards until your foot is completely off the brake pedal, at which the engine starts back up and the engine power controls the wheels.
Thanks, i was trying to figure out how she did this! impossible roll back if youre in drive in a automatic, and the white lights weren't on so she wasn't in reverse
Only on level ground. If you're on an incline, gravity can win out if it's steep enough. So if you're stopped on a hill at a traffic light for instance and have somebody right on your bumper behind you, you have to be careful when you lift your foot from the brake pedal to move it to the accelerator.
You didn't call the police??? She is running a scam fella! You should have contacted law enforcement, stayed in your car (for safety on a number of levels) and just let the police handle it...you're lucky dude you weren't shot!
No doubt ... he's lucky he didn't come out of Walgreens to a cop arresting him saying he fled from an accident... she could have stitched him up good without him realizing it.
@@christ.5323 would you rather get a cop to help you and act as a mediary and put it in their system that you were the victim making sure you never get arrested no matter what the other person says or would you rather have this happen and end up getting arrested for a felony and put in jail... sure you have the vid and you'll get released because of that and you'll get to go to court to have the charges struck from your record but that is far more time wasted and spent then a simple 911 call after a car crash... besides .. why spend a single moment in a jail cell if you aren't a criminal? Why tolerate that situation by letting it happen.
I was witness to a black woman who was talking on her phone, she ran a red light and hit a p/u truck. Before she even got out of the car she started yelling to the truck she hit "you ran the red light." I swung around and gave the p/u truck driver my info and told him that I couldnt stay and that she ran the red light. A few weeks later I got a call from his ins company. A few weeks after that he called me to thank me for being a witness.
Why did it matter in that story that she was black? (or a woman for that matter). Drivers usually get in accidents when they aren't paying attention. It's perfectly normal because of that for them to be surprised by an accident and then to try to blame it on the other person, honestly believing it couldn't be their mistake. I had someone pull through traffic to get to a bank entrance once. There were two lanes both ways and the left lane going my direction was already stopped at the light, but my lane was still moving. Someone let her sneak through in front of them and they crossed into my lane on the way to the bank. I didn't have room to stop so I hit her car. She was convinced that she was in the right. The town we were in was kind of poor and they'd upgraded the intersection kind of haphazardly. If you looked at the intersection without looking at the light you might have assumed the lane I was in was just a very wide shoulder, but there was a turn light up ahead for my lane. She didn't understand no fault and thought it wouldn't affect her rates so once I explained that it was actually her fault and she was able to see that she accepted responsibility. I made sure we both talked to the cops though before she understood that no fault didn't mean her rates might go up. I don't know if she was an honest person but she thought it was my fault at first. I suspect the woman you witnessed probably was honestly distracted and was operating under the assumption that she was in the right. There are four basic responses- admit you were wrong, honestly assume you were right even although you were wrong, realize you were wrong part way through and then lie to the cop (illegal, but not going into the situation with the initial intent to commit fraud), or to cause the accident with the intent to commit fraud. I suspect the first one is fairly rare (although I'm the kind of guy who leaves note if I scratch a fender parking, even if it might not have been me that caused the scratch). I suspect most situations are caused by the middle two groups... people who don't believe they could possibly be wrong, and people who, realizing they are wrong are going to try to foist the deductible on you.
@@nacoran Why does it matter that she is black? I'll answer that when you tell me why it's always Indian guys calling me about my soon to be expired car insurance.
I'd recommend it big time! Get two so one can face backwards into the back seat, so god forbid you passenger dose anything it will be recorded, and while were talking about it get a concealed carry permit. We have all seen the headlines so two cameras and a gun will cover your ass.
@@toryknotts8026 I agree with getting one facing the back seats too. I have seen multiple videos where the passenger will try claiming the driver assaulted them, either sexual, physical, or verbally and call others over to get out of paying, or they just suck. And it would just be your word against theirs without the camera. And last thing you want is to go to jail because some drunk asshole wanted a free ride.
I agree 100% a Dashcam is a way to go glad you had one if not you will be the guilty one for hitting the back to many scammers out there and this lady looks like one of them we have lots of those in Miami unfortunately. great video
I've seen it happen with distracted drivers who starts easing up on their brakes on an incline. But she is still at fault for not noticing even after the honking.
1. BUY A DASHCAM !!! 2. Never tell the fool-at-fault that you have a dashcam. Let them lie to the cops. 😜 Type into the UA-cam search line “best budget dashcams”. I like my Viofo A119 EDIT/UPDATE: I see in comments below, some have had the $80 Viofo puke on them. Mine is still fine at ten months but if it dies I will drop $400 on a Blackvue DR750s My motorcycle already has a hidden system with front and rear lenses....$275 and a pain to install but worth it to me.
Rider Mak That is what I have just told my wife to never tell the other party or even the cops until they submit a false report and then see what happens to them, Even I never used to think this way until now as there is far too much of ins fraud going on out there, my motto is be safe and look after my own arse and see who has the last laugh, lol.
Rider Mak .... I just looked at the A119. It says it records in a 10 minute loop maximum. What happens if you forget to pause the recording after the accident? Does it just record over your accident so you have no evidence?
10 min loop is different than how much video it stores. Mine does 5 min loops but holds about 8 hours worth. When I go onto the SD card I will see a ton of 5 minute clips. I just look for a clip that happened around the time of the incident and work my way from there to find it.
Be careful with budget cams, I went through 3 cheap cams (lasted only months each, if that) before I finally bought a decent one, I have had it for a few years now.
In situations like this, I just pull off the roadway (here in texad, you can actually be ticketed for obstructing traffic over minor fender benders) and wait for PD if the person feels they need that.
The MOMENT someone rolls into me, I'm calling the cops on it. Show THEM the video. Their police report trumps ANYTHING anyone says then, or later. I found this out the hard way, when a fraudster 'shook hands and left' the scene of an accident, only to later turn it in on me as 'my fault'. My insurance PAID THEM as a 'no fault', and it killed my '3-year forgiveness' as a result. The insurance company told me I should have called the police and had the traffic report, it would have over-ridden anything another party 'called in' later. With a dash cam, shown to the police, they can't scam you or your insurance later!
Bob Sacamano if you don't want us wasting the time of the police then get the politicians to change the laws so I can't be hurt if I have video proving my case
It is a serious waste of the police time for such a small matter, Maybe get them to sign a letter you write saying they have viewed the video and seen that it was their fault. Then take a video of them driving off, if they still want to claim insurance on it stating it was you, you have the video, signed document and video of them leaving and can state that they left the scene of the accident. Also good to get licence details and contact details.
Bob Sacamano Disagree. Youre going to give up your BEST witness, a cop, because if the fool at fault tries to sue you later, the insurance co. will figure out its a scam? Thats insane.
Always get a police report. Had a girl hit the back of my car and knock me over the grass into a mechanic place. I called the police and wrote down her insurance info (name, insurance company, vehicle they drive) while the police were coming she admitted to being on her phone and kept apologizing then when the cop showed up she said I never used a turn signal and slammed on the brakes. The cop then told both of us (I quote loosely) well for you (looks at me). We aren't gonna charge you with anything, I'd get with your insurance companies and let them know your not gonna be charged with anything. And as for you (looks at girl) I'm just gonna write you a ticket for following to closely. Eventually her dad shows up and he apologizes to me and I tell him it's okay accidents happen and the girl starts asking "who's fault is it" he looks at her and says "it's yours" the look on his face when he said that to her.
When I read the title, before I watched the video, I thought "You're the idiot for getting so close she'd roll back into you when letting off the brakes." I was imaging she rolled 6-10 inches. Lol. She rolled a car length or more.
Eric Wilson right?! she was obviously pulling some shit because there's no way she didn't know she rolled back - even had time to honk to warn her to stop!
They probably do. Honda Accords have cameras around the entire car, including being able to see your car from above. The cameras can read the speed limit signs and announce them to you as you drive by, I'm sure they can records liars with their pants on fire
Get a Tesla. Front & side cam recordings comes standard. Just plug in a usb stick (first use a PC to create a "\TeslaCam" folder) to save the video and you are good to go.
So true, these are the same people that claim "police brutality" yet when you see the footage they were shooting at the cops to begin with. If you want to know the difference between blacks and the rest of the world, just look how backward africa is. General Butt Naked, killing kids and eating their warm hearts. Terrible story from the 1800s..... joking, this was in the 1990's.....
I've had this happen to me, had a dash cam but didn't tell the other person till the cops arrived and she gave them her story. She ended up going to jail for insurance fraud, and obstructing police after I showed the cop the video of her hitting me. She though she was going to get away and boy the look on her face when they said I had a video.....fucking priceless
Who is to say the car was not in neutral when it happened? I know that cars with automatic transmissions can roll back when in drive on a hill. Mine does it too on rare occasions.
It sure did look like she was doing it on purpose, because she didn't start rolling backwards until somebody (you) came up behind her. If she didn't do it on purpose, then how could she not see she was farther back than everyone else at the front of the lines, when seconds before she was even with them at the line? She knew exactly what she was doing. Scammer! She probably tried that on someone else before, or maybe somebody bumped into her from behind, and she didn't get compensation from them, so thought she would try to scam someone else and get money out of them. Nice try, lady. THEN, why would she even take pictures of your truck, when she watched the video of her rolling backwards to begin with? She's an idiot.
Personal Freedom...Why do to feel the need to insult me? I did nothing to you, nor did I do anything to warrant anyone calling me childish names. Plus, did you not see the part of my comment where I said that maybe she didn't do that on purpose? So maybe she didn't. We don't know for sure. I was just stating my observations, based on the video alone. I never said I was correct. So I did not get scammed by anything, except maybe for the fact that I'm responding to your immature butt. But let that be my mistake. Then again, if I hadn't responded, you would've thought you'd gotten one over on me by calling me stupid names, like a little child. Grow up, and learn to act like an adult, if you are one. People can disagree with each other without resorting to name-calling and insults. It's called being an adult. Again, if you're an adult as far as age goes, then maybe you should try acting like one.
Fake claims should be charged with fraud.
People do get charged with fraud by the Insurance companies and that person ends up in prison.
There needs to be an insurance claim to be charged with insurance fraud. People fucked up enough to scam other people should be charged with fraud before insurance companys are ever involved
Felonyyyyyyyy
The way you get them, is allowing the case to move forward into insurance claim... thats when the insurance company will charge an individual with fraud. Dont say anything about the dash cam until police arrive and statements are already made. That is proof of fraud being committed. After that is done, then mention the dash cam. They cant retract a statement made to police because of evidence
They are. It’s called insurance fraud and it’s a felony...
I really appreciate the fact that you fast forwarded all of the driving and got right to the point instead of stretching the video.

Why not. I have a life dont want to waste going to court
Additionally, let her go to the fake doctor and run up the bill which she will ultimately be responsible for.

And pulled in close behind me...I hit her allright... it was the chrome strip over the wheel well...ha...I worked 2 doors to the West of that very same lot...I told her to come by in the morning and I would order her a new part and put it on for her...she wanted cash(I HAD NONE)...oops...then I saw it all...I said call the cops...OHHH HERE COMES THE STORM...THAT BIYACH TOLD ME TO WATCH MY BACK...CALL THE COPS..YOU AINT GETTIN SCHMIDT ...She never came the next day nor did I ever see that team again THANK GOD!!!

She was basically asking to go to jail
She is a pig to do that wow!
@Tony Bologna cop
I think i would have let her lie to the police.
Exactly. Let her tell her side to an officer THEN roll the footage and have her cited or possibly charged for fraud!
I'd take it a step farther and say sorry for hitting her and once the cop shows up, then change my story.
You can't lie to police but you can say whatever the fuck you want to everyone else
The only thing that matter is the dash cam because that is the only thing you need if she lies to the police 📹
Hehdhchrydhd Duunhdjrjdjdj he can like to that lady all he wants saying it was his fault. If not recorded not heard by the cop and on top of the video, pretending and acting like he was to blame isn't going to make a difference in that situation.
EXACTLY!!! this times 10!
I've had dash cameras for about 10 years now. More than once, they have saved me from a liar.
@@ronfullerton3162
Was the deer ticketed for improper lane change? Or failure to yield to oncoming traffic? Inquiring minds want to know!
This is one of the many reasons why I advocate getting a dash cam.
On another note....that fucking traffic light cycle is long as hell.
leethal956 yes, exactly what I was thinking as well.
Could be due to the amount of traffic on that road? You see all the traffic lights in this intersection? ..... it's not fucking around.
leethal956 the road going across is one of the busiest roads in the area and yeah that light sucks to be stuck at.
leethal956 lol yeah I noticed that too.
I wish everyone had a dash cam, would make my job easier.(ins. fraud)
I wish they would. Ive made the suggestion several times, even as a pilot/test program but it was a no go.
Just a Little Gay id rather people admit they were wrong in a parking lot than waste my tax money in jail for being dumb
Just a Little Gay: How about nobody cares whether or not that you are a homosexual? Why would anybody care what you do in the privacy of your car's back seat? Why do you feel the need to tell anyone that would listen that you are a homosexual? Look you even had to have it as your UA-cam username. You may be "just a little" homosexual but are indeed completely pathetic . . .
Scamming is NOT okay. These type of people need to go to prison.
prison no lol are u dum prison is where killers go
Scammers need to go to federal prison with a minimum of 100 years, within chambers of maximum security!
They often do, but only if you call the police and show them to video without the scammer knowing that you have footage of their scam. Which is why you avoid telling them.

Yes, I recently invested on 2 cameras for both cars with a rear cam as well. Crazy people out there
Whenever I'm in a situation, I always call and wait for the authorities and don't even tell them I have a dashcam.
Das Boot no.. ya have to lie 2 times for yer pants to be on fire!! Lmao
EXACTLY. Well said. You can't let scammers like this get away.
Thomas Thompson
Wuhahahaha yeah man. Let them lie then watch them BURN!!!!!!
oh shit wait this comment was meant for a different video lmaoo.
I’m just saying that pisses me off)
Tractionless. yes they do roll back if the hill is steep enough
Curiously Tot If you hit another car because you roll back it just means you are a bad driver. You are not in control of your vehicle and hit someone else's vehicle because of your inability to drive properly. You shouldn't need the space. If you do you don't deserve your drivers license.
Curiously Tot I know what you mean. I usually do a handbrake start if there's someone too close to my tail.
You should have called the police and reported her.
or not snitch and deal with it like he did
someone got jumped in highscool for talking too much didnt they?
You sound like you would struggle to write your name in crayon.
Don't you just love it. As soon as you mention DASH CAM, their story completely changes.
Dash cams are truly a man's/woman's best friend.

In real life, the state almost never prosecutes anyone for perjury unless they are a criminal who helps another criminal get acquitted. Sad but true.

Candi Soda Well you may have to submit all evidence ahead of the court date, but letting her involve and lie to the police would still be satisfying.

Sucks it was on her birthday.

wonder how many times she does that and gets paid by others can bet you you were not the first or last person she pulls that on
I experienced this myself, and found out from the insurance company that 'roll back' scams are one of the most-prevalent types of insurance fraud out there....they NEVER get their car fixed, take the $5000 payout, and keep on going. If you get a 'roll back' fender (or bumper) bender, CALL THE POLICE (and with the use of a dash cam), show them the roll back. If they document the driver did roll back into you, then your insurance is notified, and it hits their record. A couple of times, and they can never pull this scam again.
When she exited the vehicle, it all became clear
Should have called the cops she is an insurance scammer
Saberease Era he needs to report it to his insurance company. Cops wont do much but the Insurance company will
Steven M, having a police report of this "accident" would help the insurance companies if she tries this again, especially if the dash cam footage is included in the report

No no no you dont tell the cops or the person you have a dashcam you wait for it to go to court and since they are the "victim" thry will get to plead there case first let them lie to the court to the judge and law enforcement then when its your turn you get to watch them squirm as you play the video evidence not only will they realize they fucked up but they will be either heavily fined for the accident AND lying in a court of law and then they ALSO have to pay for all damages and insurance that alone is at least im guessing in my currency (cause i doubt we live in the same country) around 10 grand if they cant pay it they go to jail and if there caught doing the same shit again to pay for court fees and fines the ugghhhh go to jail sorry this was a rushed comment im sorry if some of it doesnt make sense my point is keep the dashcam a secret
isn't 911 for emergencys only?

I live in the Netherlands.
I did not threaten to shoot anyone, I clearly said I was afraid the situation might end in a gun-fight."
Though I can imagine this scenario will not work out fine in the US where the cops might show up with blazing guns and shoot to kill all on sight.
Phat Girl that’s a fact!!
Luck you had a dash cam. That's solid evidence. Since she cant scam you, now she is going to find her next victim.
WELL DONE. I've been using dshcams for 10 years. Worth their weight in gold.
Bought a new truck last month. Before I accepted delivery of it I had the dealership install a dash camera (available through truck manufacturers accessories catalog). It connects to my phone wirelessly so I can show police without removing my camera. Camera system looks out of both front and rear windows.
I'm buying a new car soon, a dash cam is the FIRST accessory on my list.

Not only that, conspiracy for fraud and reckless endangerment.
She was moving too much not to notice, chances are she put it in neutral.
In neutral, using handbrake to make it a slow roll...
Thanks, i was trying to figure out how she did this! impossible roll back if youre in drive in a automatic, and the white lights weren't on so she wasn't in reverse
You can most certainly roll back in an automatic while in drive.
how? you let your foot off the brake and it goes forward

Is that meant to be racist because she is black?
@@nacoran Maybe he meant "ENTITLED"!
@@nacoran He didn't say it mattered to the story that she was black. It's added for window dressing.
@@nacoran Why does it matter that she is black? I'll answer that when you tell me why it's always Indian guys calling me about my soon to be expired car insurance.
@@nacoran Shut up.
Unbelievable! Wow I am getting my BlackVue 4 K installed today and am so excited. I can’t believe the shit people try to get away with!
As an Uber driver, I really should get one.
@@toryknotts8026 Depending on the jurisdiction, you may need the passengers consent to record the audio, video, or both!
@@SaltiDawg2008 nope, Uber policy
You need one pointing forward and back into the car since you have to keep an eye on passengers too.
In Memphis (a.k.a. "Memphrica") We call that the "My neck, My Back, My Cadillac" routine
Flyin Rob best comment ever!!!! Lmao
how racist. blacks don't drive caddilacs no mo. deys drives chevys - and dey be sittin HIGH!
GENIUS
Here, we call it, "Oh, my check--I mean, my neck."
Why Always with racist innuendos.
I don't comment that every white man in an accident is a child rapist.
Nothing about that suggests "accident". She's probably pulled that before, claimed she was hit from behind, and try to get a check for fraud/theft.
I had a guy change lanes into me, same deal, him and his witness, only thing that saved me was dash cam video.
I agree 100% a Dashcam is a way to go glad you had one if not you will be the guilty one for hitting the back to many scammers out there and this lady looks like one of them we have lots of those in Miami unfortunately. great video
As soon as I'm able to find a job and am able to afford it, I'm buying dashcams for my mom and sister cars. Far too important to not have these days.
SpiderRealm you’re a nice son/brother
Wish my siblings were like that lmao
SpiderRealm why dont you have a job?
Jim T Dude, you're two months late on that question. Already have one.
SpiderRealm well did you get the dash cams then smart ass?

Also ... get repellent bug spray while you're at Walmart. That also helps to fight off annoying/crazy drivers !!!
Attempt at insurance scam.
Blue and trying to use her race as an excuse to get away with murder. People like her make MLK spin in his grave.
I've seen it happen with distracted drivers who starts easing up on their brakes on an incline. But she is still at fault for not noticing even after the honking.
Blue only if it was a white man. When it’s not it isn’t a big deal aka not worth the risk of falsely being labeled a sexist racist
abutts02 How exactly did she "use her race" for anything?
1. BUY A DASHCAM !!!
2. Never tell the fool-at-fault that you have a dashcam. Let them lie to the cops. 😜
Type into the UA-cam search line “best budget dashcams”. I like my Viofo A119
EDIT/UPDATE: I see in comments below, some have had the $80 Viofo puke on them. Mine is still fine at ten months but if it dies I will drop $400 on a Blackvue DR750s
My motorcycle already has a hidden system with front and rear lenses....$275 and a pain to install but worth it to me.
Rider Mak
That is what I have just told my wife to never tell the other party or even the cops until they submit a false report and then see what happens to them, Even I never used to think this way until now as there is far too much of ins fraud going on out there, my motto is be safe and look after my own arse and see who has the last laugh, lol.
Thanks Chuck!
At that angle, she put the car in neutral and was trying to collect insurance
I had a friend with an automatic 06 Civic, in drive it would roll backwards like that (first automatic I can remember that would roll back like that).
Pezfeo probably bad transmission. It should only roll back on an incline, and it usually has to be steep.
Good to know, thanks. Problem in my country, cops don't show for fender benders. I better have a whiplash.
Crazy people are everywhere these days. Dash cams are starting to become a necessary part of your vehicle so you can protect yourself.
Stephen Smith its going to become like russia
When I read the title, before I watched the video, I thought "You're the idiot for getting so close she'd roll back into you when letting off the brakes." I was imaging she rolled 6-10 inches. Lol. She rolled a car length or more.
Eric Wilson right?! she was obviously pulling some shit because there's no way she didn't know she rolled back - even had time to honk to warn her to stop!
Eric Wilson regardless.... 1 inch..... 20ft. She hit him. Wtf? Lol
Why are you verified?
youtube knows Im cool.
What is this thing called "inches"?
Never say you have a dash camera till after they file a police report
Why those car maker cant make dashcam as build in. Like a opition maybe?
I agree
They probably do. Honda Accords have cameras around the entire car, including being able to see your car from above. The cameras can read the speed limit signs and announce them to you as you drive by, I'm sure they can records liars with their pants on fire
The day is quickly approaching that front and rear dashcam will be standard equipment.
Get a Tesla. Front & side cam recordings comes standard. Just plug in a usb stick (first use a PC to create a "\TeslaCam" folder) to save the video and you are good to go.
Probably because it’s not on a high demand, and because some country’s don’t allow people to have dashcams, like I guess Belgium and Luxembourg.
The scammy little lady probably tried to scam someone else into paying for her damage right after.

You should post the link to the dash cam you have.
I think she is a insurance scammer
Thank God we have Theodore Spittnikov on the case.
SophieMia806 if she was trying to scam the dude then why didn't she get out of the car and say anything? He approached her.
SophieMia806 just bad driving dummy...you got scammed on this scamming video hahaha
She was probably waiting for him to come to her.
SophieMia806 ohhhh...that's why I called you a dummy. You did call her a scammer...and made sure you had an exclamation point behind it.
You're right, I'm going to buy a dash cam!
Good on you man . I can’t stand losers like that who go around scamming people so shady so gross . Lock em up teach them a lesson .
