Nice one chaps. Glad you had a weekend off Skatz, well deserved. We are still catching up on youtube since being in bordeaux region with family.
Ciao for now, 😊
Fof, gloria gaynor, peasnfluff etc,etc.
Thanks my lovelies, glad you’ve had some family time. That was a tough weekend. I’m going to do the same after the next treatment too, I’m recording a show with Lara. So that will be fun.
Glad to see your giving yourself a break from Saturdays Skatz. Im sure you will feel the benefits and were all be here when you ready❤👍
Cheers Robbo, I’m starting to feel a little better today.
Cheers guys another great view take care...
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
Morning guys great show and topic as usual.
Cheers John, good to hear you’re still checking in.
Great video as always, many thanks 👍
So nice of you
Thanks for putting this together, and I want to make sure I understand with my circumstances:
My husband and I bought a house in Torremolinos and will be moving there from the U.S. in late November 2024, and establishing residency shortly after arrival. I am a dual Italian/American citizen with both passports, and my husband is an American citizen. We already have NIE numbers. We are both drawing state pensions as well as social security, and have savings accounts also. We will have health cover through Cigna Global that will be in effect before our arrival.
My understanding is that we need documentation of our finances/pension income, health cover, birth certificates, marriage certificate, and a padron certificate from Torremolinos prior to going to the state police office to register. The documents we provide must be certified, apostilled, translated into Spanish, and less than 90 days old.
Please let me know if any of my understandings are incorrect.
Thanks again! Great discussion 🙂
Hi, did I already reply to this on another video? If not then I’m having deja vu!
@@youtoospain - yes you did, I wrote both questions before I saw your answer. Thanks for all you do! Your work is so appreciated, and fun too 😊
@@MikeS29 🤣
@@MikeS29 phew! I’m not losing my marbles then. Well, no more than usual. Glad you enjoy what I do.
Morning mate.
I hope your keeping well 😊
Morning! I am feeling a little better today, but I’m still going to do very little!
You are a bloody diamond Skatz .. keep well boss
Thanks John, i appreciate it.
@@youtoospain skatz could you tell me if you have any information on bringing my Uk to Spain and using it ? Or have you already done a video on it . The costs and such 💐
@@johnconroy9517 Looks like you've missed the important word out there. Would it be 'car' by any chance? If so, yes I've done a few live shows with Chris about that, it's one of his specialities. Here's the most recent show about it ua-cam.com/users/liveW3gyLxyj9CA You can use the timecodes to scroll through to the answers you need.
Car … word missing 😂
@@johnconroy9517 🤣 thought so.
Hello hello too you too.
Ah, Doctor Seuss I presume is in the room!
Hi Chris and Skatz. Thanks for presentation. For Jan and Myself . No specific information about gaining residency for Pensioners with myself with an Irish passport and Jan piggybacking on my passport. S1's etc, etc. Perhaps another presentation specifically for that scenario. Best regards to you both and your families.
That would be very useful
That’s our scenario too
We were planning to do that soon, maybe that should be the show in two weeks when Chris is on again.
@@youtoospainyes please.
Just would like to know for EU residency will copy of yearly summary bank statements do rather than having three months, that way you only translate one sheet, this is if you are retired so will use S1 for health cover
That’s a big ‘it depends!’
In Malaga you’d be okay with the summary, probably in Granada too, in Alicante on the other hand you’d need a full 6 months of. statements.
Find someone in your region who’s used the particular extranjería you’ll be going to and they’ll be able to confirm what the officials there are asking for.
I just relistened and Chris mentioned a seperate application to bring family members, please tell me the details or where I can find the application.
Can you give me the timecode of where he says that so I can be specific please?
It’s the same forms to bring a family member with you, you just fill them in a little differently.
@@youtoospain @30:14 Chris talks about it. Thanks again!
@@MikeS29 ah I think he may be talking about bringing in family members after you’ve been here a while, I’m not sure. That would be the family reunification video if he is.
If that’s not what he was talking about, then he’s saying that if you’re bringing family members with you it is a separate application form, everyone has a separate form, they just check a different box for which kind of application it is.
My husband is a EU Polish citizen and passport holder and I will be piggybacking on his status. Is residency the same as fiscal residency please?
Hi, no it’s not the same, but generally when someone gets residency of Spain they intend to live there full time. Fiscal residency happens when you spend more than 183 days per calendar year here, then you are liable for tax.
Interesting as always Skatz, we are Brits retiring as Irish passport holders in Spain I November but I would be interested to know how easy it is to work over there past retirement age?
We also noticed another travel UA-camr saying they could stay in Spain as digital nomads, but surely that's only for people who are actually employed by a company?
I'd be interested in clarification at some point, cheers.
Stay well mate.
Hi, officially you’re supposed to retire at retirement age but if you continue to do self employment it’s just a matter of making sure you declare your earnings. I intend to still have some income from being a blogger.
The Digital Nomad Visa is only for those without an EU passport and it can be for self employed people too, but at least 80% of your clients either way must be from outside of Spain. But that of course doesn’t apply to you, you have the right to set up as you wish with clients anywhere.
@@youtoospain Thanks Skatz, we might delay residency for a while and stay registered in the UK as we do some travel vlogging in Europe before settling in Spain properly.
@@ourturnnow sounds like a good plan. Just make sure you don’t spend more than 183 days in Spain in the calendar year, or it’s possible you’ll end up a tax resident here.
@@youtoospain Yes, thanks, I am also aware of the foreign vehicle rules so we will leave Spain before needing to register our vehicle onto Spanish plates as it costs a fortune even though we have a LHD motorhome.
Stay alive mate.
@@ourturnnow yes indeed. At least as an EU citizen ‘on holiday’ you’re allowed to drive a foreign registered vehicle in Spain. But as soon as you intend to stay you’re supposed to start the matriculation process within 30 days.
