    Great review thank you, when there are official looking ones that are basically flawed. The flaw appears to be the calculator doesn't log the day you are entering your data so only calculates from the last date entry you make. Putting in a future date then ''kicks' it' to recalculate.

    A great review, I'm going with with visa-calculator. Still not 100% on how it gets the answer. I entered my last visit Sep 22, then my proposed trips back and forth to mid September 23. I got a headache trying to work out the hows?.... but it says I'm OK . Thank you

    • @youtoospain
      @youtoospain  Рік тому +1

      Best not to try to work out how, getting rid of the headache is what this technology is all about.
      I still get people asking me to work out their holidays for them, like I’m a free computer programme!

    Hello, does anybody know if a person should leave on 180th day relative to its first entrance to make sure that new days will kick in?
    Example dates: 04/03/23 - 14/04/23, 02/06/23 - 11/06/23. Plan to enter 24/07 and it says I have 80 days and don’t need to re-enter on 4th of September to activate it.
    Thanks in advance!

    • @youtoospain
      @youtoospain  11 місяців тому

      Not sure what you mean. There’s no 180th day relative to your first entrance. If you’re working out how many days you’ve used and how many you have left, TODAY is ALWAYS day 180. There’s no such thing as reactivating or new days kicking in. If the calculator says you have 80 days then leave before those 80 days are up. You won’t have any days left then so you won’t be allowed to come back for nearly 90 days.

    Quick question from my end.
    So i was leaving Germany on the 10th of this month and as I was leaving, the Border Police lady instructed me that I had stayed 86 days in the EU, over the last 180 days.
    Having used every single one of these calculators, I enter all my dates, and the duration does come up to 86 days, as the woman mentioned.
    However, the websites instruct that I have stayed 77 days, and I have 13 days remaining.
    Which is completely confusing to me.
    I would leave to hear your thoughts and would love some assistance.
    I'm supposed to be travelling to Germany tomorrow, for 10 days! And I'm thinking to cancel my trip...

    • @youtoospain
      @youtoospain  Рік тому

      Hi, if you’ve put your dates into the calculator at www.visa-calculator.com and it says you have 13 days left, then that’s how many you have so you’re safe. I’m guessing that you were in the Schengen area about 180 days ago, is that right? If so, when you check the calculator tomorrow you should have another day to spend in Germany because the rolling 180 day period has rolled on.
      Trust that calculator, it’s the best. If you’d checked it on the 10th while you were with the border guard, it would have agreed with him, but we’ve moved on. Look back 180 days from today and you’ll see that some of your 86 days are now outside of the 180.

    Hi, I'm American and my first day in Schengen was April 3rd. The last day I was there was July 23rd and (because I went to Morocco for a month), I left having spent 87 days, total, in the Schengen area, as of July 23d. On October 1st, 180 days will have past from April 3rd, when I first arrived. You said in your video that UK citizens have a rolling 180s, implying that it is different for other nationalities, like Americans. I'm a little confused by that. Does this mean that on October 1st, I can re-enter Schengen with a new 90 days? Or will I the time I spent in Spain in July be calculated in, like it would be in a rolling 180 day period?

    • @shantacortezgreig

    Hi ,
    I entered Schengen region on my first visa 11/02/23 to 10/05/23
    I re-entered again to the Schengen region with another visa from 04/08/23 to 14/08/23
    Now I have to travel again, the visa calculator says I have overstayed my number of days in Schengen region?
